Jonathan Marballi

Jonathan Marballi seems like a dyed-in-the-wool New Yorker despite being born in Ohio and coming of age in Asia. He's also half Indian, a quarter Sicilian and a quarter Russian Jewish. He started as a basement theatre rat in New York at Sigourney Weaver and Jim Simpson's Flea Theatre, spent several years on both coasts as a house sketch and improv performer at The Upright Citizens Brigade and is an alum of the CBS Diversity Showcase. The diversity of his background is probably why the work he pursues most deeply looks to build bridges across communities and search for good in the world, even though that sometimes means excitedly introducing Lucas to the dark web on "House of Cards," sweetly giving Ilana a hard time with her TV remote on "Broad City," or judgmentally testifying against Dory and Drew on "Search Party."
