1 Genius Detail In X-Men ’97 Episode 5 Is Way Deeper Than You Realize
Image
Warning: This article contains spoilers for X-Men '97 episode 5, "Remember It."

Ace of Base's "Happy Nation" played during Magneto and Rogue's dance sequence in X-Men '97 episode 5. "Happy Nation" was released in the same week as X-Men: The Animated Series' premiere, "Night of the Sentinels." The rumored controversial themes of "Happy Nation" may have foreshadowed the tragic events of X-Men '97 episode 5.

One easily-missed detail in X-Men '97 episode 5 has a deeper hidden meaning that connects back to X-Men: The Animated Series, and may have foreshadowed the episode's disastrous ending. Developed by Marvel Studios Animation, but set outside the main MCU timeline, X-Men '97 premiered on March 20, and has adapted major Marvel Comics storylines such as 1984's Lifedeath and 1988's Inferno into animation. This was taken one step further with X-Men '97 episode 5, "Remember It", which brought Marvel Comics' E is for Extinction event to life, detailing the...

Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born (2018)
A Star Is Born's Butt Song Isn't Getting Any Oscars Love
Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in A Star Is Born (2018)
The original A Star Is Born song "Why Did You Do That?", otherwise known by Lady Gaga fans as the Butt Song, will not be submitted for Academy Award consideration. As far as songs are considered, Warner Bros. chose three originals from the movie, but only one will be eligible for the Oscars when all is said and done.

"Shallow", "Always Remember Us This Way", and "I'll Never Love Again" were the three songs that were chosen. But, "I'll Never Love Again" will probably be the number one pick for the film.

"Why Did You Do That?" is a song that Lady Gaga's Ally and Bradley Cooper's Jackson have a debate about in A Star is Born. The specific line, "Why'd you come around me with an ass like that?" made Jackson Maine offer up a look of disgust, and has been a hot topic of debate since the film hit theaters.

Movie Review: Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds sneak only a little fun into The Hitman’s Bodyguard
The Hitman’s Bodyguard, which bears the tagline “Get triggered” and is essentially a dumber, tackier Midnight Run, was destined to be one of those Neanderthalic, faux-merican EuropaCorp action movies, like The Transporter or From Paris With Love—except fate fumbled, and the film ended up as a coasting-on-star-power Hollywood programmer directed by The Expendables 3’s Patrick Hughes. At least it manages to be sort of amusing. Ryan Reynolds plays the Robert De Niro role, only instead of being a prickly, Sinatra-belting bail bondsman and former Chicago cop who’s still hung up on his ex-wife, he’s a finicky, Ace Of Base-yodeling bodyguard-for-hire and former CIA agent (aren’t they all?) who’s still hung up on his ex-girlfriend. We’re introduced to him living in one of those glass modernist shoeboxes that all of today’s elite big-screen gunmen seem to live in, until one pesky...

The Ultimate Guide To The 30 Best Britney Spears Songs Of All Time
Happy 30th Birthday Britney Spears To celebrate the birth of one of the greatest pop stars ever, I have taken it upon myself to choose and rank the 30 Best Britney Spears Songs Of All Time. This is my opus to Brit-Brit and I hope you enjoy it, study it, debate it with friends or family, and leave your own opinions to her Greatest Songs in our comments section. There’s a lot to get to, so let’s kick things off with #30: 30. “Lucky” (link) “Lucky” is the Britney Spears version of telling your doctor about sexual questions you have: “So yeah, a friend of mine… um… Lucky… was wondering if you can get pregnant on a sex swing. My friend.” See, in this song, “Lucky” is the name of a world famous star, who has everything: Money and fame… but no love. I believe this phrasing in the chorus...

Whoa, So Aqua Is Back, And They Might Be Evanescence
Remember “Barbie Girl” by Aqua? Maybe it was the song that accompanied your gymnastics routine, or it played all the time when you worked part time at Joyce Leslie. Or maybe you remember it because it was just voted the Worst Song Of The Nineties by Rolling Stone? The inescapable 90′s jam is something that was so frothy, creepy, and of its moment that you can’t help but hold a soft spot in your heart for its European eccentricity, like Ace Of Base‘s hyperactive little sister. It was what it was, and then we shut the time capsule. But the band members of Aqua have somehow unhinged the lock, bursting out from within that time capsule to go, like, industrial goth on us. The cover art to their new single, “Like A Robot,” illustrates a sort of futuristic, apocalyptic wasteland in which I guess Aqua can save you or something?...

Michael Jackson 'a fan of Ace Of Base'
Michael Jackson was a big fan of Swedish pop group Ace Of Base, according to bandmember Ulf Ekberg. The star claimed that Jackson confessed his love for the 'All That She Wants' hitmakers when they both performed at the World Music awards in 1996. "Meeting him for the first time was a really big thing because he was a legend for all of us in the band," Ekberg told Digital Spy. "But the first thing he did was come up to us and say, 'You know what, I think 'Beautiful Life' is one of the best songs I have ever (more)...
