The Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival, the largest and oldest genre festival in Europe, is in full swing and happening right now - literally right now as this publishes - is their Coming Soon program, an exposition of upcoming and in-progress titles that audiences should be on the lookout for in the coming year or so. It was all the way back in 2007 that we first wrote about Spanish director Albert Arizza and his serial killer film Ramirez. Well, seven years later Arizza is now in pre-production on his latest offering, a scifi thriller titled Malware. Malware is an intriguing and terrifying story: In a future city; a woman and her son are kidnapped by four cybercriminals; while negotiating the ransom it's discovered that the home's androids have been infected with a strange virus. David Dastmalchian is slated to star with production scheduled for summer 2015. Check out the teaser poster below....

We have the full list of the Sitges International Film Festival of Catalonia 2008 award winners. Among those taking home prizes was "Surveillance," a film by Jennfier Chambers Lynch which captured the Best Motion Picture award. Lynch writes alongside Kent Harper, the crime drama/thriller which stars Julia Ormond, Bill Pullman, Pell James and Ryan Simpkins. Also taking significant awards was Brian Cox for his work on "Red," Fernando Meilelles' "Blindness" drama starring Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo and "Let the Right One In." What is Sitges?
