10 Martial Arts Anime With Flawless Action From Beginning to End
Image
Whether showcasing historically accurate sumo or exaggerated hulking Mma monsters, the best martial arts anime connect combat styles steeped in tradition with ground-breaking visuals. Series like Tomorrow's Joe's emotional boxing bouts and Dragon Ball's surprisingly grounded kung-fu inspiration laid the groundwork for modern hits like Baki and Wind Breaker, but there's no shortage of fighting brilliance in between.

The common thread among the best martial arts anime is a focus that goes beyond the fight, immersing viewers in the minds and motivations of the fighters. Of course, they are the beneficiaries of stellar animation, too—even the oldies innovating in their way. With their excellent execution and stories simmering below the surface-level conflicts, martial arts encounters become more than physical confrontation.

10 Best Anime Swordsmen Who Can Easily Defeat Igris From Solo Leveling
Image
Blood-Red Commander Igris was the final boss that Sung Jinwoo faced in the first season of Solo Leveling. He was turned into a shadow soldier after being defeated and is now one of Sung Jinwoo's greatest assets. Igris is a master combatant with extraordinary sword skills. Igris can defeat most Solo Leveling Hunters with ease, but there are several swordsmen from other anime series who can defeat him in a one-on-one fight.

Igris is incredibly difficult to deal with because he possesses enhanced strength, speed and durability. Since becoming a shadow soldier, he has also gained rapid regeneration, but this regeneration is directly linked to Sung Jinwoo's mana. Most of the anime swordsmen who can defeat Igris can overcome his regeneration, and they can all cut through his armor. Many of these anime swordsmen are demons with special swords and supernatural abilities, but a handful of humans can get the job done,...

10 Anime Heroes Yhwach From Bleach: The Thousand-Year Blood War Would Easily Destroy
Image
Yhwach is the son of the Soul King and King of all Quincy, making him one of the strongest characters in Bleach. Every advanced Quincy technique is at his disposal, and his Spiritual Pressure is immense. The Almighty allows Yhwach to see into the future and alter it, but it provides additonal god-like powers as well. With these powers, Yhwach can easily defeat notable heroes from other anime series.

These anime heroes do not stand a chance against The Almighty, because Yhwach can make himself immune to their abilities or dodge all of their attacks with perfect precision. That said, Yhwach can defeat several heroes without activating The Almighty. In those instances, Yhwach can destroy their bodies with Reishi blasts or simple sword attacks. Yhwach overpowered some of the strongest Soul Reapers alive and absorbed a literal god, so most anime heroes would not pose much of a threat.

10 Anime Characters Voiced by Kenpachi Zaraki’s English Va in Bleach
Image
Kenpachi Zaraki is one of the most popular characters in Bleach because he is a brutal warrior who loves fighting strong opponents. He is the Captain of Squad 11, making him one of the strongest Soul Reapers in Bleach. David Lodge voiced Kenpachi in the English dub from 2006 to 2012, and Patrick Seitz has been voicing him ever since. Over the course of their careers, both David and Patrick have provided voices for several notable anime characters.

Many of these characters, like Kenpachi, are strong fighters, but most of them possess significantly different personalities and motivations. Patrick has voiced more anime characters than David, but David has voiced a beloved character from an iconic anime, as well as a villainous marionette.

10 Coolest Isekai Heroes Anime Has Ever Seen
Image
For over a decade now, no genre, for better or worse, has dominated anime quite like the isekai genre. While it had always existed in some form, isekai didnt start being recognized as its own thing until the 2010s, and thanks in large part to the escapist elements of the genre, its become a mainstay of the medium with dozens of new anime produced every year.

As isekai began growing in popularity, it also started becoming contentious among fans and critics because of how so many stories come across as different takes on escapist power fantasies revolving around uninteresting leads and their rapidly growing harems of girls. That being said, there are plenty of isekai anime that break away from those cliches, and because of that, plenty of great isekai anime have heroes who come off as being far cooler and more entertaining than the average isekai anime protagonist. 10 Best Isekai Anime Like The Eminence in Shadow
Image
The Eminence in Shadow is a hilarious isekai series about a character who finally gets his wish fulfilled. While most isekai protagonists go to their new world confused, upset, and missing home, Shadow couldn't have been happier. He's finally able to be the titular Eminence in Shadow himself, leading a covert group of warriors to do his mysterious bidding. It's a hilarious show and one of the funniest isekai series around, and it also features incredible fights and top-tier action sequences that make the show a must-watch.

To be a good isekai series like The Eminence in Shadow, there are a few key traits a show needs to have. It needs to have either a ridiculously powerful main character, a hilarious cast of side characters, or just general themes of hilarity. Not many shows can compare to The Eminence in Shadow, especially when they're narrowed down to just isekai, but...

10 Anime Characters Who Share Mha Bakugos English Voice Actor
Image
Katsuki Bakugo is one of the most explosive characters in My Hero Academia. But he wouldnt have the same bluster if it wasnt for his voice actors. Where the English dub is concerned, Clifford Chapin skillfully brings Bakugos signature bravado to life.

Chapin has worn many hats in anime creation, including Adr Script Writer and Director. But he is most known for his voice acting. Bakugo is his main claim to fame, but many other characters Chapin voices might surprise some fans. Chapin can be hard to spot for fans looking for Bakugos signature snarl, but he has voiced many characters with varying personalities across multiple anime genres.

Best Anime Fight Choreography, Ranked
Image
No matter what's the most popular genre at the moment, action anime will never wane in popularity. People simply love watching a good fight scene too much, whether it's about the strategy, the cool techniques, or the impressive choreography. That said, good fight scene choreography isn't as easy to find as one might think. All too often, fight scenes are either too one-sided or feature too many special moves that are more about just shouting attack names while viewers look at multicolored energy beams.

Good fight scene choreography is more than just attack names. Anime with great fight choreography not only puts a studio's budget to the test, but the directors as well. Pulling it off requires a lot of passion, and thus the best choreography is often a standout moment for an anime series, something viewers can show to newcomers to pull them into new shows.

Kengan Ashura Season 2: Plot, Cast, Release Date, and Everything Else We Know
Image
Netflix may be notorious for sabotaging anime's reputation with mediocre live-action movies and TV shows, but it also offers an ever-growing catalog of Japanese anime, the majority of which are a solid 8 out of 10 in rating. While it failed to recreate the live-action experience for popular anime series like Death Note, Attack on Titan, and Cowboy Bebop, it did succeed in producing some enthralling anime shows, including Castlevania, Yasuke, Levius, and the topic of the day, Kengan Ashura.

Kengan Ashura is a martial arts anime based on a Japanese manga written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon. The series, released in July 2019 as Ona (Original Net Animation), depicts a world where the strong thrive, and the weak perish, as most business deals are finalized through combat in a grand arena. Even though four years have passed since the anime's release, the anticipation for a second season is never out of the audiences' desire.
