Bethany Carkhuff
Bethany Carkhuff, daughter of attorney Waldo Carkhuff, is a New York
City socialite, model and philanthropist. After being offered a role on
the fourth season of the Simple Life, Carkhuff subsequently received a
significant amount of media attention and harassment though anonymous
college gossip sites. Carkhuff ultimately turned the role down to
continue her academic studies at Columbia University and hired a
publicist to keep her name out of any Simple Life or gossip related
media. After graduating from Columbia in 2008, Carkhuff made uncredited
guest appearances in several television series and continues to
maintain a conservative presence in New York society. In the
spring/summer of 2012, Carkhuff began a partnership with sister
Cherilyn in the creation of a holding company with several subsidiaries
in development.
