If the consensus views of the 200 members of Aacta’s International chapter are a bellwether of the Academy Awards, it could be a memorable night for Korean director Bong Joon-ho’s black comedy/thriller Parasite, Quentin Tarantino, Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie.

Parasite beat Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman, Todd Phillips’ The Joker, David Michôd’s The King and Taraninto’s Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood to win best film at the Aacta International Awards presented in Los Angeles on Saturday.

Tarantino was named best director while Taiki Waititi’s Nazi satire Jojo Rabbit took the screenplay prize.

The best lead actor and actress gongs went to Marriage Story’s Adam Driver and Little Women’s Saoirse Ronan.

Australia descended on Hollywood for the ninth annual Aacta International Awards on Friday night, with the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts honoring the top performances on film this year.

Bong Joon Ho’s “Parasite” was named the best film of the year by the organization. But “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” was the top winner of the night, taking home trophies in two of the five categories in which it was nominated — best direction by Quentin Tarantino and best supporting actor for Brad Pitt.

The award ceremony, which takes place just days before the 2020 Golden Globes, honors performances in seven categories — best film, best direction, best screenplay, best lead actor, best lead actress, best supporting actor and best supporting actress — regardless of geography.

Winning for best lead actor was “Marriage Story” star Adam Driver, while Saoirse Ronan picked up the lead actress award for “Little Women.”

Three years have passed since "America's Best Dance Crew," aka "Abdc," was cancelled by MTV after seven seasons of often-spectacular performances by hip-hop dance crews. Exclusive: When VH1‘s Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan returns for a third season on September 30, it will have a companion. The cable network is launching a 90-minute daily morning block comprised of Big Morning Buzz and The Gossip Table. Gossip Table, which was introduced this past June to fill in for Big Morning Buzz during its summer hiatus, will kick off the weekday block at 9:30 Am, airing live from VH1′s Times Square studios. It dissects celebrity gossip and features columnists Rob Shuter (NaughtybutNiceRob.com), Marianne Garvey (New York Daily News), Chloe Melas (HollywoodLife.com), Noah Levy (InTouch) and Delaina Dixon (Jetmag.com). At 10 Am, Gossip Table will be followed by Big Morning Buzz Live with host Carrie Keagan, co-host Jason Dundas and VH1 music expert Jim Shearer. As an outspoken advocate for many causes dedicated to bettering the world, it makes sense that actress Sophia Bush has been tapped to host the 2013 Do Something Awards.

VH1 and DoSomething.org announced on Monday (July 22) that the "One Tree Hill" alum will take the reins of the annual event honoring people who are working to improve their communities.

Joining Bush are celebrity presenters Malin Akerman, Lucy Hale, Cynthia Nixon, Russell Simmons, Aisha Tyler and VH1′s Jason Dundas. This year's celebrity honorees are Patrick Dempsey, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Jennifer Hudson, LL Cool J and Kelly Osbourne for being leaders of social change, along with five young "do-gooders" being heralded for spearheading initiatives to build stronger societies. The awards show will feature musical performances and will grant one of the five young honorees with a grand prize of $100,000 for their cause.

VH1′s live morning show Big Morning Buzz Live will look a little different tomorrow when it will introduce its revamped title, Big Morning Buzz Live With Carrie Keagan. The name change comes as VH1 just renewed the contract of host Carrie Keagan. Additionally, Shane Farley, former executive producer of Rachael Ray’s syndicated talk show, has been named executive producer and showrunner of Big Morning Buzz Live. He had been running the show on an interim basis. Corresponded Jason Dundas has been upped to co-host. Keagan is repped by Wme, Mosaic and attorney Bob Lange.

"Amanda Bynes has been a Hollywood insider for over 15 years. Her insight on the entertainment business would prove invaluable to our show,” executive producer Shane Farley told me.

Totally serious about the offer, the Emmy Award-winning morning show's producer says that they would love for Bynes to join their team as a correspondent on the show, weighing in with hosts Carrie Keagan and Jason Dundas.

In June 2010, Bynes took to Twitter to announce that she planned to retire from acting.

"I don’t love acting anymore, so I’ve stopped doing it,” she wrote at the time. Since then she has remained in the headlines mainly for her troubles with the law, including several driving accidents.
