Those crazy cineastes at Trash Film Orgy are back and headed to Camaroville one more time...but this time it's super-cool, baby.
For those who don't know, Camaroville is Tfo Ground Zero, the location of anything and everything created by writer/director Darin Wood and his producing partners in crime, Christy Savage and Amy Slockbower.
While the cursed Camaroville has previously suffered the wrath of Cheerleaders From Hell, dealt with the Monster From Bikini Beach and gone futuristic on the Planet of the Vampire Women, this time out it's going '70s retro for Badass Monster Killer. And, personally, I think this is the flick Tfo was born to make — think Shaft by way of H.P. Lovecraft. I ask you, how awesome is that?
Check it out, Jack: It seems there's a turf war going down on the bad side of Camaroville, but the new mob in town wants more...

The 2011 PollyGrind Film Festival recently wrapped up in Las Vegas, and the madman behind the scenes, Chad Clinton Freeman, checked in with Dread Central to share with us exclusively the winners of this year's fest.
Reveling in everything from arthouse to grindhouse to everything in between, PollyGrind has quickly made a name for itself as one of the up-and-coming premiere genre fests out there due to the success of each year of programming. This year's big winners (and flicks that will no doubt go on to find audiences soon) include the highly controversial The Bunny Game, The Super, Dear God No!, The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol and Ratline.
"I was very happy with the quantity of quality films and the diversity I was able to program this year," Freeman said. "Being able to world premiere films like Mondo Sexxxx: The Terry Kobrah Story and The Gruesome Death of Tommy Pistol,...

The 2nd annual PollyGrind assaults Las Vegas during an epic length film festival that runs Oct. 8-17 at Theatre 7 with enough sleaze and violence to make Sin City residents feel right at home.
Actually, the fest does open up on the 7th with a concert at Neon Venus with local acts like Monster Zero, Creepersin and many more.
However, the film portion of the fest opens on the 8th with Stuart Simpson‘s acclaimed Australian gorefest El Monstro Del Mar!, one of the best Russ Meyer/Roger Corman mash-ups with a Down Under twist. Read the Bad Lit: The Journal of Underground Film review of this gem here.
Other Bad Lit favorites in the lineup are Drew Bolduc and Dan Nelson‘s The Taint, which is still completely grossing out audiences on the festival circuit, and The Uh-Oh Show, the splatter-filled horror comedy by the Godfather of Gore himself Herschell Gordon Lewis.

We recently told you about the upcoming PollyGrind Film Festival, one of the premiere grindhouse film festivals, that's set to celebrate all-things B-Movie style in Las Vegas this October. The madman behind the festival, Chad Clinton Freeman, announced today this year's PollyGrind line-up and it looks pretty sweet!
And not only is PollyGrind celebrating films, the fest is also celebrating several indie music acts slated to perform during the fest, a Zombiepalooza celebration and a whole lot more! Read on for all the details for the Second Annual PollyGrind Film Festival!
From the Press Release:
It's been called "the key festival for indie cult filmmakers to land distribution deals." Its founder and programmer has been called the "new champion of unabashed B-movie sleaze." Those praises might seem a bit outlandish, but with the official announcement of the PollyGrind Film Festival's schedule, it's easy to see where they come from.

The folks at Trash Film Orgy, that fine purveyor of micro-budget exploitation fare such as Cheerleaders From Hell and Monster From Bikini Beach, have returned to the screen with Planet of the Vampire Women, with their latest piece of campy craziness.
Planet of the Vampire Women is a veritable effects extravaganza, and though it doesn't work as well as it might, this fun new flick is easily the most ambitious project yet to emerge from Sacramento's reigning kings of B-movie madness.
Equal parts caper movie, sci-fi film and horror flick, Planet of the Vampire Women has a little something for everyone and starts with a bang. Captain Trix Richards is an infamous space pirate, looting and pillaging her way across the galaxy. Accompanied by her loyal crew of outlaws, Richards is...

I’ve written often of my love for the work of Darin Wood, Christy Savage and Amy Slockbower, those inmates running the overthrown asylum known as Trash Film Orgy, the very cool horror collective behind such fun flicks as Monster From Bikini Beach and Cheerleaders From Hell.
Well, friends, here's your chance to break into the movie biz. Trash Film Orgy needs you! They've been working on a new movie called Planet of the Vampire Women for a while now. The majority of the film was funded by private investors, but they are now opening the project to the public and raising completion funds through donations and sponsorships.
When I spoke to producer Christy Savage earlier in the week, she said, "We are hoping to raise an additional $4,500 to offset the costs of post-production and DVD mastering. All donations and sponsorship funds will go toward additional sound recording, computer-generated special effects,...

Oh, those wild, wonderful weirdos at Trash Film Orgy. Sacramento's favorite cult horror filmmakers sure know how to have fun. Following their feature Monster From Bikini Beach, Tfo decided to make a short film for their Trash Film Orgy Spring Break Show 2008. What they came up with is the entertaining 19-minute flick Cheerleaders From Hell, which also played to raves during the 2008 Sacramento Horror Film Festival.
Poor little Penny. It's bad enough being a wallflower. But when her sister, a popular cheerleader, dies in a freak plane explosion while on the way to a cheerleading competition (!!), it seems like life can't get any worse. Of course, it can and it does. One day soon after the tragedy, Penny is brutalized by a marauding gang of thugs. While confiding in her best friend (a talking plush...
