This post contains spoilers from Dark Winds season 3 episode 8, “Béésh Lii” (Iron Horse).

The season finale of Dark Winds wastes no time catching up with the fraud Dr. Reynolds (John Diehl). Try as she might to render herself free from the man, he overpowers her even with his aged strength. In a flash Teddi’s head is brutally bashed against the hotel room table, instantly killing her.

Billy Bob Thornton Teases Landman Season 2's Story & Bigger Role for Demi Moore
Image
Billy Bob Thornton has teased that Demi Moore will have a much bigger role in Season 2 of Taylor Sheridan's hit Landman series. The show was renewed for a new season last month.

Thornton stars as Tommy Norris, an abrasive landman for an oil company in West Texas, opposite Demi Moore as Cami Miller, his friend and wife of Monty Miller (Jon Hamm). Thornton spoke with Deadline from the set of Season 2 of Landman and shared information on where the story is headed. His character is now the president of the oil company that Moore's character owns, which sets the two up to work more closely together than ever before.

"Since [Moore's character] doesn’t really know the oil business that well, I’m there with her to show her how these people operate," Thornton teased. "You can know something intellectually, but what are the street smarts behind it? I know how...

‘Dark Winds’ Star Jessica Matten on That Shocking Episode 4 Ending: “This Is Above My Pay Grade”
Image
[This story contains major spoilers from Dark Winds season three, episode four, “Chahalheel” (Darkness Falls).]

The latest episode of Dark Winds, “Chahalheel” (Darkness Falls), ended with a particularly gruesome — and mystifying — death. After admitting to wife Emma (Deanna Allison) his culpability in B.J. Vines’ death and facing her devastating reaction, Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) returns to the police station and tells the on-duty officer that he’ll take over the night watch.

Once Joe is left alone — with Halsey (Phil Burke), the suspect, in lockup — the lights flicker out. Joe goes outside to check the fuse box, only to hear strange noises, followed by Halsey’s screams. He rushes back inside, where he finds the prisoner bleeding from the mouth before he dies an agonizing death in Joe’s arms.

Part of the reason Joe is alone in the first place is that Chee (Kiowa Gordon) is a few hundred miles away, having gone to...

'Landman' Season 2 Details We Already Know
Image
Following two months and 10 episodes of must-see television,Landman concluded its explosive Season 1 finale on January 12, 2025. The latest Taylor Sheridan TV creation went out with a bang, setting up a new set of circumstances for Season 2. After weeks of speculation, Paramount+ officially renewed the show for a second season on March 12, with criminally underutilized star Demi Moore having stated that filming will begin sometime in early 2025. As such, it's time to drill down to see what lies ahead in the riveting oil and gas industry drama.

While Sheridan is known for expanding his TV franchises with bigger and bolder seasons, sequels, and spinoffs, Landman's second chapter could go in several dramatic directions. However, considering what transpired in Season 1, Episode 10, "The Crumbs of Hope," it's safe to assume Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) must deal with the fallout of a dying friend, a vengeful drug cartel, and the mysterious arrival of...

‘Dark Winds’ Renewed For Season 4 At AMC; Zahn McClarnon To Make Directorial Debut
Image
There will be more Dark Winds on AMC.

The network has renewed the thriller for a fourth season. The news comes ahead of the premiere of its third season on March 9.

Season 4 of the series, which stars Zahn McClarnon, will begin filming in Santa Fe, Nm, in March and will air in 2026.

Much like Season 3, it will consist of eight episodes. Seasons 1 and 2 had six episodes each.

The news is not a huge surprise given the boost that Dark Winds seems to have gotten from its airing on Netflix. The first two seasons of the show are currently on the streamer and after they dropped in August, they remained in Netflix’s top 10 for over three weeks. Dark Winds also aired on Warner Bros. Discovery’s Max as part of a two-month pop-up in 2023.

Season four will also feature the directorial debut of star and exec producer McClarnon.

Andy Garcia's Landman Cameo Is The Taylor Sheridan Show's Best Surprise Yet (& He Must Be In Season 2 More)
Image
Andy Garcia made an appearance in Landman's season 1 finale, providing one of the most exciting surprises in the series. Taylor Sheridan's TV shows are known for their star-studded casts, be it Kevin Costner, Sylvester Stallone, or the great Harrison Ford. His latest series had the pleasure of a cast led by famous names like Billy Bob Thornton, Ali Larter, Demi Moore, and Jon Hamm, offering consistently strong acting to embellish his highly entertaining writing style. Andy Garcia joining in at the last moment only piles on an already unbelievable television lineup.

Andy Garcia was announced as being part of Landman's cast back in early 2024, but it became confusing as the series progressed through nine episodes without an appearance from the iconic film star. His vague character description in Deadline's initial report didn't suggest much, but after a few episodes, it was enough to assume he was either another...

Landman: What Happened With Tommy & The Cartel In Season 1's Finale Explained
Image
Warning! This article contains Spoilers for Landman season 1, episode 10.The finale of Landman season 1 had quite a few plot twists for Tommy Norris (Billy Bob Thornton) and the cartel, and his entire abduction and surprising rescue was a bit of a blur. The trouble between Tommy and the cartel had been brewing throughout Landman season 1, and it came to a head at the end of the season. At the end of Landman season 1, Jimenez (Alex Meraz) kidnapped Tommy and took him out to an oil well, only to blow the well up. Then, he took Tommy back to his bar and began torturing him, and he clearly intended to execute him.

While the cartel did bring plenty of action to the finale of Landman season 1, its storyline wasn't always easy to follow. In a single moment, Jimenez went from killing Tommy to dead himself, and Landman introduced an entirely new character.

Billy Bob Thornton Unpacks ‘Landman’ Season Finale and Offers Message to L.A. Fire Victims
Image
[This story contains major spoilers from the season finale of Landman, “The Crumbs of Hope.”]

Perilous beginnings looped back around in the finale of Landman.

Billy Bob Thornton’s oil company fixer Tommy Norris ended the season similarly — yet, nearly more perilously — than he began in Sunday’s closer for season one of Paramount+’s new hit series about the Texas oil industry from Yellowstone boss Taylor Sheridan and co-creator Christian Wallace.

In “The Crumbs of Hope,” Tommy gets promoted when his lifelong friend and boss, Monty Miller (played by Jon Hamm), is laying on his deathbed due to a weak heart. Tommy takes over Monty’s multibillion-dollar oil company M-Tex Oil and quickly finds himself pressured into continuing to churn a profit for Monty’s legacy: his wife Cami Miller (Demi Moore) and their two daughters.

Tommy agrees to adhere to Monty’s wishes and frack some of the oil wells to increase production and wealth for the company.

Jerry Jones' Unexpected Cameo in Taylor Sheridan's ‘Landman,’ Explained
Image
With one episode remaining in Landman's inaugural season, all eyes turn to see how Tommy (Billy Bob Thornton) and Cami (Demi Moore) will handle the inevitable cartel confrontation when the finale airs on January 12, 2025. Of course, one episode prior, "WolfCamp," featured a wildly unexpected cameo appearance from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, a master media manipulator who understands how to control a public narrative.

Then again, on closer inspection, Jones' cameo is more pertinent to Landman's themes than may first appear. His grand monologue may fudge a few facts and streamline his background, but heeding Jones' advice may be more valuable than one might expect for a show about the highly profitable oil and gas industry. For more context, here's everything to know about Jerry Jones' Landman cameo.

Fans Have Noticed Striking Similarities Between 'Landman' and 'Yellowstone
Image
As Taylor Sheridan continues to be one of the busiest scribes working on television today, the Yellowstone and Landman creator may have connected the two series through one piece of dialog. Following the fourth episode of Landman on Paramount+, fans noticed a nearly verbatim line spoken by Yellowstone's Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly). The quotation is so similar that some have suggested it's a low-key Easter Egg, while others have flat-out accused Sheridan of lazy writing.

While Sheridan may be laying the groundwork to tie in one of his multiple Yellowstone spin-offs, including 6666 and The Madison, a closer look at the repeated dialog may help clear up the facts. Whether an Easter egg or a product of hasty storytelling, it's clear that the blue-collar characters in Landman and Yellowstone do not care for those with higher education.

Who Killed Baz on Animal Kingdom?
Image
Baz's death in Season 3 of Animal Kingdom shocked fans due to the mystery surrounding his killer. Baz's character started as a favorite but turned villainous due to selfish actions, leading to his demise. The mystery of Baz's murderer was finally revealed in Season 3, showing Smurf's role in ordering the hit through Mia.

Debuting in 2016, TNT's Animal Kingdom spotlighted 17-year-old J's (Finn Cole) transition to living with his estranged criminal family, led by his no-nonsense grandmother, Smurf (Ellen Barkin). The drama had killed off a few prominent characters by its series finale. However, no death was as shocking as that of Barry "Baz" Blackwell (Scott Speedman) in the Season 3 premiere. Not only was the killer's identity initially a mystery, but there also was -- technically -- more than one correct answer to who killed Baz on Animal Kingdom.

In Season 1 of Animal Kingdom, Baz was introduced as one of J's more level-headed uncles,...
