In a new interesting bit of a promo from Marvel Studios, the official social media account posted somewhat of a peek into the upcoming Wonder Man series, but it’s in the form of a faux red carpet interview. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II shows up at the blue carpet of the premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, where he gives an interview as the Simon Williams character from Wonder Man. In the small clip, Williams talks about being a fan of Wonder Man and superheroes, and even says the Wonder Man movie was the first movie he saw in theaters and yearned to be a superhero afterwards.
Things take a turn when the reporter asks about his affiliation with Trevor Slattery, who portrayed the face of The Mandarin in Iron Man 3 and showed up again in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. It was then that Williams...

While all eyes are on The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Marvel Studios is already promoting one of their next projects, Wonder Man, in a very tongue-in-cheek way. Wonder Man stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, who becomes the titular superhero. Pitched as a superhero comedy about a struggling actor, not much is known about the Wonder Man series...despite it being just five months away from release. It is the next live-action entry in the franchise following The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Marvel used the fact that all eyes would be on the MCU reboot's premiere to their advantage, beginning the soft launch promotional campaign for the next Disney+ series.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II showed up at the premiere of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but not as himself. Instead, he showed up in character as Simon Williams. Marvel Studios released a video featuring "Simon Williams" discussing his personal...

A representative from the Department of Damage Control is now bringing his services to Wonder Man. News broke yesterday that Emmy-nominated Succession star Arian Moayed will reprise his role as Agent Cleary from Spider-Man: No Way Home and Ms. Marvel in Marvel's latest series, coming this December. According to reports, he's set to be a major factor in the story of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's Simon Williams following his transformation into the titular superhero. Notably, Moayed is the second major MCU alum to be confirmed for the Hollywood-centric satire, with Sir Ben Kingsley already attached as actor Trevor Slattery.
The story of Wonder Man is still being kept a secret, even though it's only a few short months away from hitting Disney+. It is known, however, that it'll explore the entertainment industry through the unique perspective of Williams, a stuntman and actor-turned-superhero. A brief teaser in Disney+'s second-half slate...

Ben Kingsley is no longer the only returning Marvel Cinematic Universe star in Wonder Man. Arian Moayed will also appear in the forthcoming Disney+ series.
According to Deadline, Moayed's Agent P. Cleary will "feature prominently" in Wonder Man, which is set to premiere on Disney+ this December. The actor made his MCU debut as the high-ranking Department of Damage Control agent in 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, before returning for multiple episodes of Ms. Marvel the following year. Moayed is the second major MCU reprisal in Wonder Man after Kingsley, who is back as failed thespian Trevor Slattery for the fourth time. His previous MCU appearances include Iron Man 3, the Marvel One-Shot All Hail the King, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

Disney+ and Hulu have shared a video featuring new looks at Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the King of the Hill revival, Only Murders in the Building, All's Fair, Chad Powers, The Twisted Tale of Amanda Knox, and Marvel Television's Wonder Man.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II take on the role of Simon Williams, and in this brief preview, makes it clear that he was "born to play this character" (previous sneak peeks confirmed that Simon is an actor auditioning for the lead role in a movie called "Wonder Man").
Marvel Studios is putting a different spin on the Avenger in this series, and we get a glimpse of his powers in action as he effortlessly smashes a table before losing control and seemingly laying waste to an entire building.

As you probably know, Marvel Studios is gearing up to release Wonder Man, a new series on Disney+ in December 2025. Wonder Man introduces us to Simon Williams, a Hollywood actor who gains superpowers and becomes Wonder Man.
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, known for his roles in Aquaman and HBO’s Watchmen, takes on the lead role. Joining him is Ben Kingsley, reprising his Marvel role as Trevor Slattery. The series is expected to have eight to ten episodes.
It’s part of Marvel’s Phase Six and will be released under the Marvel Spotlight banner, which focuses on more character-driven stories. This fact could be the key to delivering a very fresh show, which is also at the center of a recent rumor by a popular rumor mill.

Laura Benanti may have led the Broadway revival of “She Loves Me” with Zachary Levi in 2016, but the actress certainly doesn’t share the sentiment of the title. Benanti opened up about the ill feelings she maintains about her former co-star this week on the That’s a Gay Ass Podcast, hosted by Eric Williams.
“I never liked him. Everyone was like, ‘He’s so great!’ And I was like, ‘No, he’s not. He’s sucking up all the fucking energy in this room. He wants to mansplain everybody’s part to them,'” Benanti said. “He really sucked everybody in with his dance party energy, like, ‘We’re doing a dance party at half-hour.’ I was like, ‘Good luck, have fun.’”
Benanti’s criticism of Levi reached an emotional peak when the conversation touched on their “She Loves Me” co-star Gavin Creel, who died in September at the...

The Wonder Man project was in development for a long time with little to no updates, so it was a big surprise when the show dropped its first teaser trailer and announced the release date.
The show has a lot of potential for the future of the MCU, especially given Wonder Man’s connections to both Vision and Scarlet Witch in the comics.
The show will follow Simon Williams, an actor and stuntman who gains superpowers and becomes the superhero Wonder Man. It will have a satirical tone and serve as a love letter to Hollywood.
Created by Destin Cretton and Andrew Guest, who is the showrunner, it will be released under the Marvel Spotlight banner. This means you don’t need to watch other MCU shows to understand it, and it will be geared toward a more mature audience.

God of War is the latest first-party franchise under the PlayStation Studios banner to receive the live-action treatment in partnership with Amazon Prime Video. Studio executives praised the scripts penned by the original showrunners; unfortunately, their hard work has now been wasted and the company decided to move in a different direction.
While it is unfortunate to see what could have been worthwhile and quality content shelved or scrapped, perhaps the decision to start from scratch is an opportunity to improve. Adapting one of the most popular video game franchises of recent years can be challenging, and the executives must have their reasons behind the decision to restart.

God of War Ragnarök might be the biggest game of the franchise. Released in 2022, this title is available for PlayStation 4 and 5 and on PC. Loosely based on Norse mythology, the game is set in its typical storyline of ancient Scandinavia, featuring Kratos and his teenage son Atreus.

If a writer options their screenplay for a fee tied to the film’s budget and that budget is later increased, is their manager obligated to disclose the bump and renegotiate their pay if the manager is also a producer on the project?
The answer to that question appears to be no, at least in the case of screenwriter Kurt McLeod, who sued Zero Gravity Management alleging it had a conflict of interest when it negotiated his deal for writing Copshop.
U.S. District Judge Fred Slaughter, in an order issued on Tuesday, found that Zero Gravity and its founders Eric and Mark Williams won’t have to face a suit accusing them of prioritizing their payout for producing Copshop to the detriment of their client by failing disclose that the budget for the movie had been substantially raised. Marvel's Avengers has long encapsulated the best superheroes the Marvel Universe has to offer, and as equally diverse as the heroes among the Avengers are their enemies, the various supervillains who have plagued and tormented Avengers through the decades. While good triumphs over evil more often than not, it's undeniable that sometimes the villains outshine their rivals, stealing the spotlight and hearts alike.
The supervillains of Marvel's world are every bit as diverse and colorful as its superheroes. Whether through their own complex stories, boasting a visually inspired design, or even raising the degree of unabashed evil to absurd levels, some villains have managed to escape the shadows of their heroic counterparts. Below are fifteen supervillains who, while perhaps not always the most powerful foe Avengers have faced, are undeniably cooler than their rivals:

A new villain for the MCU, the Grim Reaper, is set to debut in Marvel Studios' upcoming Wonder Man series. Marvel Studios' development of a Wonder Man series was announced in June 2022, with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Destin Daniel Cretton and Hawkeye's Andrew Guest attached as co-creators. In October, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was revealed to be portraying the titular role of Simon Williams, a.k.a. Wonder Man, and the series will also mark the return of Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery from Iron Man 3 and Shang-Chi, as well as debuting MCU newcomer Lauren Glazier in an undisclosed role.
In Marvel Comics, Simon Williams is the son of industrialist Sanford Williams, owner of Williams Innovations, a rival company to Stark Industries. Simon gains his ionic abilities thanks to Baron Heinrich Zemo after being incarcerated for embezzling funds from the family business. These gifts are...

PlayStation has several exclusive titles in the works that they've kept quietly under the radar for quite some time. Although fans might be aware that these titles are upcoming by various Sony Studios, not much information has been released, and it's likely PlayStation is waiting for its next Showcase to reveal more.
The last PlayStation Showcase in September 2021 revealed titles like God of War Ragnarök, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Marvel's Wolverine, and a remake of BioWare’s classic Star Wars RPG, Knights of the Old Republic. Hopes were high that some of these titles would give players a new trailer in the recent February 2023 State of Play, but that focused prominently on Psvr 2 titles to coincide with the device's launch, as well as multi-platform titles such as the Resident Evil 4 remake, and an extended look at Rocksteady's Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

God of War Ragnarok told an epic story and offered a satisfying conclusion to Kratos’ story, but it neglected to answer one of the series’ biggest mysteries. While the Greek saga has its share of curious plot points, 2018’s God of War introduced a mystery that, to this day, no one has solved. The game’s developers have acknowledged that the mystery remains unsolved. They even continue to tease the fans and add fuel to the speculation.
The Norse saga has introduced plenty of enigmas to the story, like Odin’s mysterious mask in God of War Ragnarok. The biggest, by far, is the unanswered question of who blew the horn to summon the World Serpent, Jormungandr, in God of War. The horn is blown when Atreus is sick and Kratos rushes to Freya’s home for help. Atreus and Mimir are the only two in the game revealed to...

While God of War Ragnarok left some questions unanswered, Dlc for the massive mythological epic is totally unnecessary. The recently released PlayStation exclusive brings an end to the franchise's Norse saga, with Kratos and Atreus facing off against Odin and Thor as the end of the world draws near. God of War Ragnarok delivers intense gameplay and a compelling story, and an expansion would be a needless addition to an already complete package.

After defeating Odin the All-Father and parting ways with Atreus, Kratos can continue exploring with Freya to tackle optional bosses like the Berserkers and the new Valkyrie Queen Gna. Ratatoskr is one of the cutest and funniest characters in God of War Ragnarok, but the mythic figure was apparently at risk of being cut from the game completely. The epic sequel introduces a number of new mythic Norse characters, including the villainous gods Thor and Odin. Ratatoskr has become a fan-favorite addition to the God of War cast, but his presence was apparently resisted by some developers.
A report from Game Informer reveals that Ratatoskr was nearly left out of the game, with God of War Ragnarok director Eric Williams fighting hard for his inclusion. During an interview with Game Informer, Williams reveals that other developers wanted to cut Ratatoskr due to his overtly comedic role and the title's already large cast. However, Williams remained firm that Ratatoskr's comedic relief would be important in the game's otherwise somber narrative. Fans shouldn’t expect any major Dlc expansions for God of War Ragnarok, at least not according to director Eric Williams. Kratos and Atreus’ latest journey through the Nine Realms of Norse myth finally launched on PlayStation consoles earlier this month, earning near-universal acclaim for its blistering combat, impressive visuals, and emotionally charged story. In God of War Ragnarok, Kratos and Atreus search for clues about the titular final battle to determine the fate of the world while fighting against old foes and new enemies alike.
God of War Ragnarok is a massive game already, and there probably won’t be Dlc expansions for it any time soon. God of War Ragnarok director Eric Williams recently sat down for an interview with the Kinda Funny Games podcast (via Game Rant), during which the subject of future Dlc came up. Eric Williams, the director of God of War Ragnarok, apparently wants a Castlevania revival to be his next gaming venture. Konami's gothic action series is one of the publisher's oldest and most successful franchises, though the last Castlevania game was released way back in 2014. Following the recent launch of God of War Ragnarok, director Eric Williams seems to have a darker destination in mind for his next game.
As revealed on a Kinda Funny Games spoilercast (via YouTube), God of War Ragnarok game director Eric Williams would like to tackle the Castlevania franchise for his next project. During the interview Williams reveals that his favorite game is Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which he replayed to celebrate the launch of God of War Ragnarok and every past game he's helped create. PlayStation’s Sony Santa Monica Studio is reportedly working on a few projects following God of War Ragnarok. Last week, the final chapter of Kratos and Atreus’ journey across the Nine Realms of Norse mythology launched to near-universal acclaim after two long years of hype and speculation. In God of War Ragnarok, Kratos and his son find themselves tasked with uncovering the truth behind a prophecy that foretells the end of the world as they battle against dangerous foes like Odin and Thor, as well as their own personal demons.
Even as players continue to dive into God of War Ragnarok’s lengthy story, developer Sony Santa Monica is busy planning its next big project for PlayStation. In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, former God of War (2018) director Corey Barlog revealed that his studio is currently “spread out on a lot of different things,” but declined to go into further detail.

Richard Schiff, the beloved actor who portrays Odin the All-Father in God of War Ragnarok, was apparently convinced to take the role by his son. The long awaited sequel to 2018's God of War has finally arrived, bringing fans face-to-face with the unstoppable Thor and his scheming father Odin. Richard Schiff is renowned for live-action roles, like Toby Ziegler on NBC's The West Wing, but thankfully his son talked him into playing a villainous Norse deity in God of War Ragnarok.
A recent Game Informer interview with God of War Ragnarok director Eric Williams reveals the fateful process of casting Richard Schiff as Odin. According to Williams the team at Santa Monica Studios had several potential actors in mind for the All-Father, but Schiff eventually came up as the perfect choice. The relationship between Kratos and Atreus has grown in God of War Ragnarok, and part of this involves the Ghost of Sparta calling his son by his name. Players were first introduced to Atreus in the 2018 God of War reboot, which saw his father Kratos abandon his old God-killing ways from the original God of War games in favor of a quiet life in Midgard. This peaceful existence wouldn’t last long though, as the pair are tasked with journeying to the highest peak in Jotunheim as per the dying wish of Kratos’ wife Faye.
Due in part to both Faye’s death and the tragic loss of his original family in the old God of War trilogy, Kratos begins God of War (2018) in a cold and distant relationship with Atreus. This is best demonstrated in how Kratos calls his son “Boy” instead of his name at any given opportunity...

God Of War was a surprise hit for PlayStation, with the older franchise getting a soft reboot with a Norse twist in 2018. The upcoming sequel, God of War Ragnarök, continues Kratos's adventures in Norse mythology and is sure to introduce more hitherto unseen gods and monsters. However, more change isn't likely far off for the franchise.
Game directors Cory Balrog and Eric Williams confirmed in an interview with Kaptain Kuba that the franchise will be moving on from Norse mythology after Ragnarök to make way for a new set of stories, which could very much tie into the past. It's even plausible that paying homage to the past, Ragnarök might actually have a few surprise appearances. These are all characters that might have turned up in the past but certainly haven't appeared in the most recent God Of War. ...
