What Happened To Priscilla Presley After The Movie & Divorcing Elvis
Image
The upcoming film "Priscilla" focuses on Elvis Presley's ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, and is based on her memoir "Elvis and Me." Priscilla and Elvis were married for six years before they separated in 1972 and officially divorced in 1973. Priscilla Presley has had a successful acting career after her divorce from Elvis and is most known for her role in the TV series "Dallas."

Numerous biographical films depict the life of Elvis Presley, but Priscilla shifts its focus to his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley (née Beaulieu). The 2023 drama, which premieres in theaters everywhere on November 3, is based on Priscilla's 1985 memoir Elvis and Me, and Priscilla herself was very involved in the making of the movie. So, it might be safe to assume that the film will be an as-close-as-possible depiction of Priscilla's life with the King of Rock and Roll. But her story was truly just beginning after she separated from Elvis.

Mrs. Elvis Presley Is Living a Dream-Turned-Nightmare in Priscilla Trailer: Watch
Image
Sure, it’s not easy being a king, but have you tried being married to one? After teasing it earlier this year, A24 has shared the first full-length trailer for Priscilla, Sofia Coppola’s upcoming biopic based on Mrs. Presley’s 1985 memoir Elvis and Me.

American high schooler Priscilla Beaulieu (Cailee Spaeny) is still adjusting to her family’s relocation to Germany when — in a moment almost too good to be true — she meets one Elvis Presley (Jacob Elordi) at a party. It doesn’t take much for the world’s hottest star to become smitten, much to the (understandable!) chagrin of Priscilla’s parents: “Just what is the intent here, Mr. Presley?” her father asks. “Why my daughter?”

Elvis justifies pursuing a girl ten years his junior because “she’s much more mature than her age,” a remark that usually doesn’t come from the most well-meaning men. But...

Sofia Coppola Reveals Why There's No Elvis Music in Priscilla
Image
Priscilla explores the legendary romance of Elvis Presley from a different perspective, focusing on Priscilla Presley's point of view. Sofia Coppola couldn't secure the rights to use Elvis' songs in the film, pushing her to be more creative in telling the story. Coppola felt a strong emotional connection to Priscilla, relating to her experiences growing up in a show business family.

Sofia Coppola is telling one of the most famous romances in music history in Priscilla, but she was not able to include any song by the King of Rock 'n' Roll.

As part of A24's upcoming productions in the next few months, Priscilla will explore the relationship between one of the most famous men in the musical industry if not the most popular one, and the love of his life, mainly focusing on Priscilla Presley's point of view.

Unfortunately, while telling the story, Coppola couldn't use any songs from Elvis' repertoire.

Emmy spotlight: It’s time to sing Danielle Pinnock’s praises for her hilarious performance in ‘Ghosts’
Image
The CBS comedy “Ghosts” has won over fans with its slick humor and the chemistry of its ensemble cast. Each character is so deeply established and entertaining that it would be easy to see why any given performer could be singled out as an audience favorite. One of the show’s shining stars is Danielle Pinnock, who plays Alberta Haynes, a jazz singer who was murdered and still doesn’t know by whom. The character’s self-proclaimed grandeur is hilarious, while Pinnock’s singing ability and the corresponding ego she gives Alberta is a joy to watch. She may be sitting in 28th place in our current Emmy odds for Best Comedy Supporting Actress, but Pinnock is absolutely in this race.

Last year, we saw surprise nominees in many acting categories, which is indicative of the quality of performances on TV today. Sarah Niles (“Ted Lasso”) deservedly made it into...

Danielle Pinnock & Ashley D. Kelley on Bringing ‘Alberta’s Descendant’ to ‘Ghosts’
Image
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts Season 2, Episode 18, “Alberta’s Descendant.”] Ghosts is no stranger to family reunions, but the latest installment, “Alberta’s Descendant,” delivers some of the show’s biggest twists for everyone’s favorite flapper, Alberta (Danielle Pinnock), thanks in part to a visit from her sister’s kin, Alicia (Ashley D. Kelley). The actresses, who play family onscreen, are separated by the plane of the living and the spiritual worlds, as Alicia checks into Woodstone and informs Sam (Rose McIver) that she’s related to Alberta. Curious to know more about this descendant, Alberta pushes Sam to pry for information and eventually learns that Alicia’s interested in learning more about her relative’s past with the help of the Alberta-obsessed “creepy” Todd (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll). While they may be related onscreen, Pinnock and Kelley’s bond runs deeper behind the scenes as both performers met over 15 years ago at Temple University.

‘Ghosts’: Danielle Pinnock on Alberta’s Shady Jazz Past & Personal Connection to the Story
Rose McIver, Rebecca Wisocky, Brandon Scott Jones, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Richie Moriarty, Asher Grodman, Sheila Carrasco, Román Zaragoza, Devan Chandler Long, and Danielle Pinnock in Ghosts (2021)
[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Ghosts Season 2, Episode 2, “Alberta’s Podcast.”] Ghosts is continuing to dive deeper into the past life of Woodstone’s resident jazz singer, Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) in the aptly titled episode, “Alberta’s Podcast.” In the episode, Sam (Rose McIver) and the ghosts come up with the idea to cover Alberta’s murder mystery in a podcast, utilizing the singer’s personal accounts as a way to share the most accurate version of events. The catch? When Sam pitches the idea to her editor, she’s told she’ll need an expert, and it seems like the only option is Season 1’s Alberta super-fan and historian “creepy” Todd (Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll). When he comes to Woodstone with items and artifacts, an end table uncovers Alberta’s diary, revealing that she went against her “no ratting” policy to cut down her musical competition in the past. While it’s distressing news for Alberta to have leak,...

Ghosts Season 2 Episode 2

This week’s Ghosts starts with time traveling to the 1920s. The audience finally sees Alberta (Danielle Pinnock) on a jazz club stage. Alberta is standing with a group of several other singers. The manager says the lead singer Clara Brown is out sick and Alberta feigns shyness to seize center stage. We then see Alberta wowing the crowd with her solo. Who’s Clara? What happens after the show ends?

Back in the present timeline, Pete (Ritchie Moriarty), Trevor (Asher Grodman), and Sas (Román Zaragoza) are thinking about the plot twists in a true crime podcast they’re listening to. Did the husband kill the wife? Alberta quickly figures out that podcasts are modern-day radio. Pete then says it would be an excellent idea for Sam (Rose McIver) to have her own podcast about Alberta’s mysterious death. Sam’s editor...

The one, the only, Robert Nolan is the ultimate chameleon slipping in and out of roles with such ease. He has appeared in dozens of short films including some genre fare like Richard Powell's "Worm", Ryan M. Andrews's "The Devil Walks Among You", and Daniel Reininghaus's "Eyes Beyond" to name a few. We got the chance to ask this incredibly talented actor a few questions. Here is what he had to say.

So for those unfamiliar with you, who is Robert Nolan and what are you all about?

Aside from knowing my own name and that I exist on this planet right now, exactly who I am remains as mysterious a world to me as you are to you. Does anyone really know exactly who they are and what they are all about? The depths of the interior human are as infinite as the universe our bodies inhabit.
