Aniplex of America announced today that it will distribute Virgin Punk: Clockwork Girl , an upcoming original theatrical anime film with a science fiction / action theme. The film began its theatrical run in Japan on June 27, 2025, and Aniplex lists the U.S. release date as “Coming Soon”. An English-subtitled trailer has also been published for the film. Another voice cast member has joined the Fairy Tail 100 Years Quest anime. The latest addition is Yurika Kubo (Kaede Azusagawa in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai ), who can be heard as Toka, an Exceed who reveals her true form in the latest installment, episode 13. Toka's body had been taken over by the White Mage, and as such was previously voiced by Sayumi Suzushiro. You can see Kubo next to the Toka character design above. Aniplex Online Fest 2024 capped off its exciting run of announcements today with a literal bang, revealing a memorable visual and trailer for a brand-new original anime titled Virgin Punk that follows a young bounty hunter named Ubu in the year 2099, featuring designs and concepts by Yasuomi Umetsu and studio Shaft ( Monogatari Series ). Lupin the 3rd scriptwriter Yuya Takahashi is in charge of the series composition.
