Ufc star Nick Diaz sure made everyone Think he was thrown in jail this weekend when he posted a pic of himself in front of a cop car, but TMZ has learned he was Not actually arrested.Diaz posted the pic with the caption "F**k they got us" ... leading many to believe he was referencing a recent prediction he made -- that he will end up in jail because he's never paid taxes in his life.

Ufc 158: 5 Reasons Nick Diaz Beating St-Pierre Would Be Good For Mma
The decision by Ufc welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre to fight who he believes to be #1 contender Nick Diaz has been a controversial one. With some fans arguing Johnny Hendricks deserves Nick Diaz’s place and others calling for a super fight with middleweight champion and pound for pound kingpin Anderson Silva. However the Ufc has showed us that sometimes your mouth gets you places faster than your fists. And Georges doesn’t feel the time is right to fight Anderson. So instead we’ll get the highly anticipated, on and off and on again and off again and now on hopefully for good fight between Marijuana activists’ fan favorite Nick Diaz and long time champ Georges St-Pierre.

Come Ufc 158 two things can happen. St-Pierre will use his smart game planning to mix up his striking, foot work and wrestling to win a dominating decision or Diaz will somehow find a...

Ufc on Fox 5 Podcast Review
Ufc on Fox 5 in Seattle, Washington proved that it was indeed worth the hype. As clearly the best card from top to bottom in 2012, it had spectacular finishes and dominant performances. On episode #8 of the Getting Lucky Mma podcast, I am joined by “English” Thom Burton to cover all of the action.

The Getting Lucky podcast is on iTunes, search for us in the iTunes store and subscribe. If you hate Apple and Steve Jobs, you can find alternate means of subscribing to the pod here, as well as direct web streaming of the mp3. Or you can find us on Youtube under the account LuckyRob007.

Episode #008 Summary: first we eulogize one of the most special “residents” of the Seattle and talk about quick news: Johny Hendricks has been put aside in favor of Nick Diaz for a title shot against Gsp. I wrote about this on WhatCulture last week here.

Ufc 154 – Podcast Preview
We return for another Mma podcast. This time we are previewing the massive card in Montreal, Quebec, Ufc 154. How big is big you ask? 13 fights! Including 5 on the main card. The highlight of course is the epic showdown between the Interim Welterweight Champion, Carlos Condit (28-5), against the returning Welterweight Champion, Georges St-Pierre (22-2).

Quite frankly this is a massive fight and one that will affect Gsp’s legacy far into the future. If he wins this fight, then the Anderson Silva fight must happen. If he loses, then Gsp must recapture his belt, perhaps by first fighting Nick Diaz and working his way back toward Condit.

But there are other exciting fights on the card including a #1 contender eliminator between Martin Kampann (20-5) and Johny Hendricks (13-1), the streaking Francis Carmont (19-7) against Tom Lawler (8-4), and England’s very own John Maguire (18-4) fighting Matthew Riddle (10-3).

Ufc 154: Legacy At Stake For Georges St-Pierre
Georges St-Pierre (22-2) returns to the octagon after a lay-off of 567 days to face the interim champion, Carlos Condit (28-5), at Ufc 154 in Montreal, Canada. Despite already establishing himself as the best welterweight on the planet, this fight will be the biggest and most difficult of his distinguished career. More important than his treble with Matt Hughes. More important than his battles with Bj Penn.

And the reason for that is simple. This fight more than any other will define Gsp’s place in history.

The Challenger – Carlos Condit

Carlos Condit came into the Ufc via the acquired Wec, where he ran rampant over mainly 2nd tier competition en route to a Wec welterweight belt with three title defenses. After transitioning to the Ufc with a close split decision loss to Martin Kampmann (14-2) at Ufc Fight Night, Condit recovered impressively with a 5-fight win streak.

And not just a win streak.

Ufc 154: Gsp vs Carlos Condit – Preview and Predictions
November 17th, this Saturday, Gsp is back! As the promo said, this might be the most anticipated return in Ufc history. It’s been a long time since we’ve last seen Georges St. Pierre in the octagon. The last time we saw him he didn’t go out on a high note. In his fight with Shields, both men didn’t look like they wanted to be in the octagon. So as a result we recieved a very lackluster fight that nearly ruined an extremely exciting card. Many fans, or I should say internet fans, were not anticipated for anymore Gsp fights. Some went as far as to boycott Gsp. Well, their wish was granted when it was announced Gsp had severely injured his Acl.

It’s been a year since Gsp was injured and in his absence a group of new contenders have emerged. Originally Nick Diaz was...
