Article 21 is an upcoming Malayalam film that explores the theme of the right to life and personal liberty guaranteed by the Constitution of India. The film is directed by debutant Lenin Balakrishnan and features an impressive star cast comprising Aju Varghese, Lena, Joju George and others. The film is set to release on July 28.

The film takes its name from Article 21 of the Constitution, which states that “No person shall be deprived of his life or personal liberty except according to procedure established by law.” The film depicts the lives of different characters who are affected by this fundamental right in various ways.

One of the main characters is Thamarai, a Tamil rag picker played by Lena, who lives in a filthy slum and struggles to survive. She is seen smoking and drinking in the first look poster of the film, which also shows the harsh realities of her environment.
