Michael Robert Logie was born August 13, 1947 into an artistic family in Vancouver BC Canada. His father and mother were both gifted singers, performing at weddings and community events. Like Michael, his siblings are also talented singers and musicians. Michael's mother was an internationally recognized painter and her work hangs in many private and public collections, notably at the University of British Columbia's Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. Through her, his artistic sensibilities were developed and nurtured. Michael's father was a member of the world-famous Royal Canadian Mounted Police and, among other things, taught him mechanical skills as well as firearm safety and marksmanship.

Like many young boys, Michael enjoyed a wide variety of sports - baseball, soccer and football but especially hockey, a game he still plays weekly. Although he lives in California, he remains a faithful fan of the Vancouver Canucks NHL team.

Singing and playing their guitars, Michael and his two brothers enjoyed performing songs by the Beatles and other groups of the period. Years later, Michael's singing talent was discovered by two members of the Vancouver based rock band, Sunshyne. When Michael booked his first musical theatre gig, Gerry Cohen - Who's He?, they sent the leader of the band, the late producer of renown, Bruce Fairbairn, to hear Michael - he hired Michael on the spot as the group's new lead singer. Michael later performed on a local TV show, Talent Breakthrough. The show's music director, Bob Buckley, brought him into the world of Jingles and Session Singing where Michael sang over 700 commercials and worked on numerous record projects.

In between his first and second years of college, Michael traveled to Europe for a three month-long hitch-hiking tour. Upon his return, he worked for an international airline for more travel and then, before returning to his education, traveled once again to Europe to begin a year and a half-long working vacation where he circumnavigated the globe, working in England, Denmark and Australia, after travelling overland for two winter months from London to Sydney. With his love of and proficiency with accents and dialects, he feasted on the cornucopia of sounds that enveloped him.

Years later, through Michael's passion for hockey, he booked two days as a coach on the remake of the iconic hockey movie, Slapshot, Michael was bitten by the acting bug. Through his membership in the Canadian performer's guild ACTRA, he booked hundreds of featured-extra and some actor roles.

Michael met South African producer, Trevor Pitout, who then brought him into the world of voice-over, specifically ADR/Dubbing. Trevor was contracted by Deutsche Welle to produce English language versions of many of its German language TV shows. The work was a real joy for Michael as it combined the intense concentration that he learned to exercise as a studio musician and his German language proficiency, learned in college and practiced during his stays in Germany - the joy that he experiences with voice actor work continues to this day.

Michael is the proud father of two adult children - his son is a commercial pilot and his daughter enjoys a successful career in the hospitality industry. In 2010, he moved to Los Angeles and in 2016, became a proud U.S. Citizen. He pursues a career which includes work as a voice actor, singer and actor. And he plays hockey, the game he still loves.
