Video Exclusive: Louise Linton & Kristen Ruhlin On Their Revenge Fantasy Film, ‘Chick Flick’
Image
In a new uInterview, Louise Linton and Kristen Ruhlin shared their experience making the film Chick Flick.

Linton explained to uInterview founder Erik Meers how she starred in the original film in 2013, but after finishing it still felt that something was missing.

“I loved the script. I thought it was so charming but this sort of predated a lot of the social media and dating apps. But I really identified with what this story was about and we had a great time filming it. And then once the filmmakers were in the edit, we just had the feeling that the story wasn’t sort of connecting the way that we’d all intended.”

After deciding to reshoot the movie, Linton decided to update it by adding Tinder, Bumble and other online dating platforms to the storyline.

“We added 50% to the screenplay and reshot quite a bit of it both in Washington,...

Louise Linton at the "She Wants Me" Los Angeles Premiere, Laemmle's Music Hall 3, Beverly Hills, CA, April 5, 2012
STXfilms has acquired the domestic rights to “Me You Madness,” the directorial debut of actress Louise Linton, who is also married to U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap.

Linton also stars in the campy, comedy and thriller alongside “Gossip Girl” actor Ed Westwick, and the film will be made available through premium video on demand. STX is aiming for a mid-February 2021 debut.

Linton in “Me You Madness” plays a serial killer living a life of luxury in a dream house in Malibu who seduces a petty thief to be her next kill, only for the two of them to slowly fall for each other. Here’s the full synopsis:

“Me You Madness” tells the deliciously wicked tale about a beautiful, ruthlessly ambitious, intelligent, and successful businesswoman, Catherine Black (Louise Linton). She lives a life of luxury having an architectural dream house in Malibu, exclusive designer fashions,...

Exclusive: We have the first photo from Me, You, Madness, the indie film starring first-time writer-director Louise Linton. Have a look below, along with an image of Linton in helmer mode.

She stars along with Ed Westwick in the comedy about a young thief (Westwick) who, while casing a secluded mansion in Malibu, discovers he is robbing the home of a serial killer. The movie 2018 shoot in Malibu was interrupted by last year’s Woolsey Fire before resuming after the danger had passed.

“Thanks to my killer crew and cast, the movie is every bit the playful 80’s homage I dreamed of when I wrote it,” said Linton, wife of Treasury Secretary and Wonder Woman executive producer Steven Mnuchin. “It was a joyful set, even under pressure. Ed Westwick is a phenomenal actor, collaborator, friend and creative force who became my co-pilot on many creative aspects of the film.”

November 2018 VOD & Digital Releases Include The Nun, Searching, The Predator, The House With A Clock In Its Walls
Happy Halloween, everyone! While I know it’s a bittersweet feeling that our favorite holiday is finally upon us, that doesn’t mean we have to bid the horror genre farewell any time soon. In fact, there are a ton of great genre films hitting VOD and a variety of digital platforms throughout the month of November, which should help with the sting of it no longer officially being the spooky season.

November’s digital releases kick off on Friday with Possum, Welcome to Mercy, and Monster Party, and then just a few days later, get ready for Death House, Kin, The Heretics, Beyond the Sky, and Blood, Sweat and Terrors on November 6th. One week later, the cyber thriller Searching hits various platforms (and is definitely worth a watch), and there are a few more titles making their digital debuts that day as well: Blue My Mind, Lasso, and Bloody Ballet.

Hilary Duff Knows She Wants Me
Hilary Duff
Never fear: despite the headline, our Man In La (hello!) has no delusions over his romantic chances with Hilary Duff (which goes double now she went and got married to a hockey player). Nope, the title merely reflects the fact that she’s just joined the cast of indie comedy She Wants Me, which sees her joining a cast including Charlie Sheen and Josh Gad.It’s a tangled-web, Hollywood-spoofing tale about Gad’s neurotic writer (is there any other kind?) Sam, who is deep into development on his next film. While he’s promised the lead role to his girlfriend, a struggling actress named Sammy (Kristen Ruhlin), his life suddenly becomes much more complicated when a big name starlet (Duff) starts hinting that she might take the role on. Where do Sam’s loyalties lie? With the woman he loves or the chance to get his movie seen by more people?...
