“It’s a pass”: One ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Star Got Too Jacked Before His Audition, Rejected the Role 5 Times
Image
Johnny Galecki nearly passed on his popular role as Leonard in The Big Bang Theory. The show faced many ups and downs, including a failed pilot, before it hit the screens and became a sensation. One such early obstacle was Leonard’s casting. While Galecki was not the first in line, casting director Nikki Valko was adamant on the actor, saying, “Johnny Galecki is Leonard.”

However, the actor was busy with another project at the time, a Broadway production, The Little Dog Laughed. Galecki had a unique opportunity and did not want to leave it for a ‘nerdy’ role in an impending sitcom.

“Nikki called him like three times saying, ‘Please, please,’ but we kept hearing ‘It’s a pass,'” casting director Ken Miller recalled in The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series. After rejecting the offer five times, Galecki eventually decided to...

The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Was Mentioned On The Show Before Her Casting
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

After Mayim Bialik joins "The Big Bang Theory" in the show's third season as Amy Farrah Fowler, a neuroscientist who ends up romancing and marrying the prickly Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons), it's legitimately hard to imagine the show without her presence. Here's something funny, though; in the show's very first season, "The Big Bang Theory" obliquely references the real Bialik, though it doesn't say her name.

In the season 1 episode "The Bat Jar Conjecture," Sheldon and his friends and fellow California Institute of Technology colleagues Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki), Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar), and Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) are gearing up to participate in the university's annual Physics Bowl, but true to form, Sheldon makes all of his friends so irritated that they kick him off the team. (This is largely because Sheldon is convinced he doesn't even need teammates...

'Night Court' Star Gives a Devastating Update Following Season 4 Cancellation
Image
Things were looking grim for the Melissa Rauch-led Night Court reboot at NBC following its cancellation after three seasons. Despite hopes from the team that the sitcom could find a new home for courtroom hijinks by shopping the series, initial reports from TV Line revealed that nobody was biting on bringing back Judge Abby Stone and her staff for another run. Now, Rauch has delivered the show its sentence. In a recent post on Instagram, she finally addressed the show's end and revealed that, despite the best efforts of everyone involved, the Manhattan municipal court will be remaining closed.

"I have held off on posting anything about Night Court not continuing until I knew we did everything in our power to find another home for it," Rauch said to open her post. As a longtime fan of the original Reinhold Weege series starring Harry Anderson, the reboot was a...

‘Night Court’ Gets Another Grim Verdict After NBC Cancellation
Image
The 2024-2025 TV season has ended, and now audience members can look forward to networks throwing up new shows and brand-new seasons of their favorite ones. However, prior to the network shows taking a break, several shows were axed. Over at NBC, in early May, the verdict came in regarding the network's courtroom comedy, Night Court. Starring Melissa Rauch as Judge Abby Stone, it was announced that the show, which is a reboot of the classic Reinhold Weege sitcom, will not be returning for a fourth season. With NBC locking up the gates of the courthouse, will we see the comedy continue elsewhere?

While we Night Court fans might be hoping that NBC might be willing to shop the comedy series out, recent reports don't offer much hope. Per TV Line, "early efforts to shop the sitcom revival have thus far come up empty," the report says in part, adding,...

Weird Animated Short Film 'The Bleacher' - Extra Strange, Extra Dark
Image
"Excuse me lady, have you seen my sock?" What strange creation is this? And where is that sock? A peculiar animated short film titled The Bleacher has arrived online. Created by filmmaking duo Nicole Daddona & Adam Wilder, who run a studio called "Magic Society Pictures" in New York City together, this short film originally premiered at the 2024 Sundance & SXSW Film Festivals last year in the Midnight Shorts section. It's now available to watch for free thanks to our friends at Short of the Week. "Where do your missing socks go?" This very weird, very dark 8-minute animated short is about a woman known as "The Bleacher" who is looking for her missing sock at a laundromat. She gets sucked into the laundry machine then ends up in her own subconscious - where she encounter a very creepy singing dolphin. But, uh, why? Starring the voices of Kate Micucci, Ben Sinclair,...

Kunal Nayyar Hated One Of Raj's Character Quirks On The Big Bang Theory
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

Anyone who has even a passing familiarity with "The Big Bang Theory" knows that, until the end of the show's sixth season Raj Koothrappali, played by Kunal Nayyar, can't talk around women. This is chalked up to Raj's selective mutism, which manifests around women due to his utter anxiety ... though the show's writers did add a pretty questionable aspect to this trait in which he can talk to women if he's had a lot to drink. In any case, Raj's selectively mute streak came to an end in the season 6 finale "The Bon Voyage Reaction" after his breakup with Lucy (Kate Micucci), where he cries in Penny's (Kaley Cuoco) arms and talks to her freely and without alcohol for the first time. So how did this all come to pass? In her 2022 book "The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside...

'Night Court's Future Has Been Judged by NBC
Image
The NBC jury has reached a verdict, your honor, and it is bad news for Night Court fans. The reboot of the classic Reinhold Weege sitcom was firmly on the bubble for the network after drawing a more modest audience than its first two seasons under Dan Rubin. In the end, Melissa Rauch will not be returning to the bench as Judge Abby Stone for Season 4, as the series has been cancelled per Deadline. The news comes just days after Season 3 served out the final two episodes of its 18-episode sentence with a bombshell reveal that changed everything for Judge Stone.

Night Court kicked off on a white-hot note when it debuted in 2023. According to Nielsen ratings at the time, the reboot had been NBC's biggest comedy premiere since 2017, only being surpassed by the reboot of Will & Grace. Since then, the series settled into a groove, bringing zany courtroom...

'The Big Bang Theory's Bernadette and Howard Are Back Together in First 'Night Court' Season 3 Finale Images
Image
At long last, Bernadette and Howard have reunited after The Big Bang Theory. Entertainment Weekly has exclusively shared the first images from the upcoming Season 3 finale of Night Court that finally brings Simon Helberginto the Manhattan Municipal Court to stand before Judge Abby Stone, played by his former on-screen partner Melissa Rauch. Not only do they offer a delightful shot of the two together, but they also pull the curtain ever so slightly back on Helberg's "game-changing" new character, Spencer, who was teased to have a big role in the final episode next week. His appearance will cap off a two-episode Tuesday night that will be filled with a few exciting guests, including another Big Bang universe star in Young Sheldon's Raegan Revord.

Both Helberg and Revord will appear in the second of the two episodes, titled "A Decent Proposal." It's designed as an homage to an episode of the...

Joel McHale & Paula Patton Set For Musical Indie ‘Reimagined’
Image
Exclusive: Joel McHale (Animal Control) and Paula Patton (Sacrifice) are set to star alongside Yonas Kibreab, the lead of Pixar’s forthcoming Elio, in Reimagined, a musical feature marking the directorial debut of composer Mateo Messina (Juno), which adapts his original symphony The Pageant.

Written by Messina and Jeff Witzke, the film follows Felix McCoy (Kibreab), a young boy grappling with the loss of his mother, Mary (Patton), the beloved creator of the town’s annual holiday pageant. When the production is taken over and rebranded into a shallow spectacle by cocksure director, Hamilton Lydell (McHale), Felix secretly sabotages the event, only to realize that saving the show might be the only way to keep his late mother’s spirit alive.

Currently shooting on location in the Hudson Valley, New York, the film also stars Cress Williams (Black Lightning), Josh Holloway (Duster), Kate Micucci (Dog Man), Jade Catta-Preta (Future Man...

Night Court’ Season 3 Finale Sets Unexpected Reunion With ‘Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Young Sheldon’ Stars
Image
Bernadette and Howard Wolowitz are officially getting back together! Night Court's upcoming Season 3 finale on May 6 will be a big one with back-to-back episodes welcoming Melissa Rauch's Big Bang Theory partner, Simon Helberg, to the Manhattan Municipal Court. He's not the only member of the wider Big Bang universe to be swinging by for some zany courtroom antics, though, as Raegan Revford, best known for playing Sheldon Cooper's sister Missy on Young Sheldon and, more recently, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, will also have a major role to play in the final episode. Rounding things out is the return of original series veteran Marsha Warfield once more as Roz Russell for the first of the two episodes, ensuring that the season will adjourn with a bang.

Exactly who Helberg will be playing remains a mystery, but the cameo is being described as a potential "game-changer" for Rauch's Judge Abby Stone.

Riki Lindhome Figured It Out
Image
There are so many heavily-anticipated albums coming out this year, but only one record contains lyrics this hot: “Have you heard of vaginal atrophy? / When your vagina gets smaller after menopause?”

That’s from “Second Best Lover,” a pseudo-romantic ballad meant to reassure the listener that, really, he’s good in bed — even if the singer has had (at least) one better. You’ll find it on No Worries If Not, the first solo album from Riki Lindhome, perhaps best known from the musical-comedy duo Garfunkel and Oates, alongside Kate Micucci, and films like Knives Out and the Netflix series Wednesday. No Worries If Not, based on Lindhome’s one-woman musical Dead Inside, is a collection of funny, sometimes caustic, sometimes sweet tunes that speak frankly about her struggles to navigate relationships, infertility and endometriosis. The opening track, “Middle Age Love,” sets the tone, addressing the challenges of sexy time...

Kate Micucci talks the return of Carol Ann Wheeler in Night Court season 3 [Exclusive]
Image
We were promised the return of The Wheelers in Night Court season 3, and it’s finally happening. Kate Micucci will return as Carol Ann Wheeler, and she talked with us about that return and what to expect.

The Wheelers have been a beloved part of the Night Court universe from the original series. While Brent Spiner and Annie O’Donnell returned to reprise their roles, Keri Houlihan didn’t. Instead, The Big Bang Theory’s Kate Micucci stepped into the role, proving that Carol Ann is just as weird and wacky as her parents.

It’s not easy coming into a revival as an already-introduced character, so we talked about stepping into the role and what to expect in Night Court season 3, episode 13.

‘Dog Man’ Review: Pete Davidson in a Consistently Delightful, Surprisingly Heartfelt ‘Captain Underpants’ Spinoff
Image
Is it just me, or is the premise of the new DreamWorks Animation film kind of creepy? The central character of Dog Man, based on the best-selling children’s graphic novel series by Dav Pilkey, is a creature with a man’s body and a dog’s head. After Officer Knight and his canine companion Greg are injured together on the job and wind up in an emergency room together, a nurse, surveying the damage to the former’s head and the latter’s body, helpfully suggests, “What if we sew the dog’s head onto the man’s body?”

Thus Dog Man is born, just as determined to pursue criminals as Knight was but also displaying Greg’s strong tendency to lick people’s faces, including his irascible — is there any other kind? — police chief (Lil Rel Howery). Since the dog has provided the head, the character doesn’t...

Aubrey Plaza's 10 Best Movies & TV Shows, Ranked
Image
It's always a delight to see someone as peculiar as Aubrey Plaza make it big. Known for her deadpan affect and zany antics, Plaza has made a name for herself in the industry through both her comedic and dramatic roles. Indeed, though she is best known for her sardonic sense of humor and stony expression, she's shown us her range in recent years, mobilizing her natural intensity for a fascinating assortment of roles. From starring in Francis Ford Coppola's divisive "Megalopolis" to voicing a cat named Tardar Sauce in "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever," Plaza's projects run the gamut.

Plaza's fans know that her talk show appearances are just as delightful as her films and television shows. Remember when she got up on the desk and licked Stephen Colbert's face? Or when she went full witch for Seth Meyers? But, as wonderful as Plaza's public persona is, we're...

Scooby-Doo Star Matthew Lillard Shares Blunt Opinion of the Velma Series
Image
The Scooby-Doo franchise marked its 55th anniversary this September, and it's genuinely hard to keep track with all the different TV series, specials, and movies (both theatrical and mostly direct-to-video or for TV). Despite all of that and more than half a century of media, only two actors have canonically played Shaggy, the delightfully raspy Bff of the titlular Great Dane. First came the legendary DJ Casey Kasem, who voiced the character for something like 372 episodes of television and 14 made-for-tv movies. Then there was Matthew Lillard, who first joined the franchise in the form of star-studded live-action movies before becoming the voice actor behind Shaggy for approximately 27 direct-to-video movies, eight TV specials, and 156 TV episodes. There is technically one more Shaggy out there...

The adult animated series Velma takes the intellectual property of Scooby-Doo and completely reworks it in ways that fans of the franchise have absolutely hated. Fortunately,...

‘Night Court’ Star Melissa Rauch Says Mayim Bialik Episode Will Have Many ‘Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Blossom’ Easter Eggs
Image
Fans of “The Big Bang Theory” and “Blossom” are in for a treat during Mayim Bialik’s upcoming “Night Court” guest star spot, which Melissa Rauch teases includes “many” Easter eggs for both shows.

“People can expect to see many ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs, both ‘Big Bang’ Easter eggs and ‘Blossom’ Easter eggs throughout the episode,” Rauch told TheWrap of the Season 3 episode.

The sitcom will serve as an on-screen reunion for Rauch and Bialik after last starring together on “The Big Bang Theory,” with Rauch saying, “We have, of course, kept in touch since ‘Big Bang,’ although we haven’t been on set together since our season finale.” Bialik will also reunite with John Larroquette after she appeared on “The John Larroquette Show” in the ’90s.

In the upcoming episode, Bialik will play what Rauch calls a “bizarro version of Mayim” as the former takes the stand as a night court defendant.

Why Mayim Bialik's The Big Bang Theory Casting Makes No Sense
Image
We may receive a commission on purchases made from links.

"The Big Bang Theory" may have broken its own reality by casting Mayim Bialik in its third season. That's because the show mentioned the actress back in season 1 -- a reference that made her later appearance a bit more meta and paradoxical than the show usually gets.

Bialik comes up in the show's thirteenth episode, "The Bat Jar Conjecture," when Sheldon (Jim Parsons) gets booted from the core group's physics bowl team. In search of a new fourth member, the guys start brainstorming, and Raj's first idea is a bit out there. "You know who's apparently very smart, is the girl who played TV's Blossom," Kunal Nayyar's character says. "She got a PhD in neuroscience or something!"

It's a great bit in the moment, since Raj clearly isn't thinking practically and is sincere in his hope that Bialik (by...

“We’re looking for a female version of Sheldon”: The Actress Who Lost Millions When Chuck Lorre Chose Mayim Bialik for Amy in The Big Bang Theory

Besides its witty science jokes, The Big Bang Theory also became one of the most popular sitcoms for its unique set of characters. Each character brought a distinctive style that made the CBS show so special to watch. Mayim Bialik’s Amy Farrah Fowler was also such a character who became insanely popular after her introduction in Season 3.

The Big Bang Theory Actor Who Lost The Role Of Amy Farrah Fowler To Mayim Bialik
Image
Mayim Bialik is probably best known for two roles: Blossom on "Blossom" and Amy Farrah Fowler on "The Big Bang Theory." According to an oral history of Chuck Lorre's popular CBS sitcom, Bialik had some serious competition for the role of Amy ... and the actress who almost booked the gig ended up playing a recurring role anyway. So why did Bialik edge out "Garfunkel & Oates" actor Kate Micucci?

In Jessica Radloff's book "The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series," Lorre and his writer-producer Steve Molaro said that Bialik's real-life education helped her land the role; in 2007, Bialik earned a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (she also graduated from there in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in the same field). As Lorre and Molaro told Radloff, that put Bialik over the edge.

"Chuck loved that she actually had a PhD in neuroscience,...

Every Kevin Smith Actor Who Returns In The 4:30 Movie
Image
From Jason Lee to Justin Long to Jason Mewes, Kevin Smith has brought back a bunch of his regular collaborators to appear in the cast of his latest film, The 4:30 Movie. Shot in Smiths own movie theater, Smodcastle Cinemas in Atlantic Highlands, The 4:30 Movie is his most personal film in years. Its a coming-of-age comedy about a group of teenagers theater-hopping across a single day in the 1980s.

Like Wes Anderson and Martin Scorsese, Smith is known for working with the same actors over and over again. Part of that is because most of his films take place in an interconnected universe, the View Askewniverse, so a lot of actors play the same characters across different movies. But even his non-Askewniverse films, like The 4:30 Movie, have brought in frequent collaborators like Kate Micucci and Diedrich Bader.

Kevin Smith Talks ‘The 4:30 Movie’s Love Letter To Small-Town Theaters, His “Existential” Streaming Dread And The Journey To Make ‘Mallrats 2’
Image
As Hollywood attempts to keep up with the ever-changing face of streaming, Kevin Smith has gotten into the movie theater business.

The director’s latest film is The 4:30 Movie, which serves as a love letter to small-town cinemas. It came at a time when he was feeling “existential” about being “one more goofy-ass tile to this never-ending wall” of film and television content on streaming platforms.

“I know it’s hard out there. It’s always been hard,” he said. “That’s the one thing I could say. But it’s worth the struggle. It’s worth the fight. Like, it’s worth making that tile, man, because that tile winds up being all the difference in some person’s life you’ll never meet.

“I meet people who tell you wonderful things about movies you’ve made years ago that other people lambast, and they’re like: ‘That’s my favorite movie.

Kevin Smith Showed the Cast of His New Comedy the Jersey Ropes
Image
We spoke with the young cast of The 4:30 Movie, Kevin Smith's new indie comedy and New Jersey-set passion project that sees a trio of young pals trying to sneak into an R-rated flick while one of them attempts to seal the deal with his charming mega-crush (Siena Agudong). It's a gloriously simple premise for a film that was primarily shot inside a movie theater that Smith owns in real life, meaning the scenes were shot in his old stomping ground.

"Me and [Smith] did a little walking tour of the entire Atlantic Highlands town, and he just took me around, and kind of sort of gave me a play-by-play in my own free time," said Zajur, who plays the heroic lead character Brian. "I would just kind of go hang out at the spots that I knew I was going to film at and would just kind of get...

Friday the 13th slasher icon Jason Voorhees gets a shout-out in Kevin Smith’s The 4:30 Movie
Image
There are some minor Spoilers ahead if you don’t want anything about writer/director Kevin Smith’s new film The 4:30 Movie given away before you see it… but for those of you who would like to weigh whether not these are the sort of spoilers you feel you should avoid, I will say that this only concerns one exchange of dialogue and some of the special thanks seen in the end credits. Now, to get to the point: The 4:30 Movie is in theatres as of today, and since its release date also happens to be a Friday the 13th, I thought it was worth pointing out and celebrating the fact that Jason Voorhees, the iconic star of the Friday the 13th franchise, gets a shout-out in the movie!

Set in the summer of 1986, The 4:30 Movie is a coming-of-age comedy that follows three sixteen-year-old friends who spend...

The 4:30 Movie Review | There's Heart & Humor in Kevin Smith's Ode to Films
Image
"For you, movies make life make sense." Yes, we're talking to you. And fine, maybe it's also a poignant movie quote from The 4:30 Movie, Kevin Smith's new passion project of a feature that hits the masses this week. Sadly, you won't see the charming New Jersey native on the big screen in this one, though Smith is certainly not done starring in movies. A third Jay & Silent Bob film is in the works, and as the hilarious trailer for The 4:30 Movie suggests, there will "probably" be a Clerks IV down the line, which could certainly feature a Silent Bob cameo. Why not?

In the meantime, soak up this innocent delight from Smith's video store-generation mind, for it's a purposeful and confident nod to the '80s and also to Smith's childhood and hometown, where the film is set. Heck, the real-life Smith even owns the cineplex...

The 4:30 Movie Review: Kevin Smith Channels John Hughes And Starts Getting His Groove Back
Image
Kevin Smith will always hold a special place in my heart as one of the filmmakers who defined my formative years in cinema. "Clerks," "Mallrats," "Chasing Amy," "Dogma," and even the silly "Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back" were packed full of hilarious yet immature laughs and pop culture references that tickled my funny bone and my geek gland. But ever since he tried to make his own Judd Apatow movie with "Zack and Miri Make a Porno," which made him feel like he ruined Seth Rogen's career at the time, he's struggled to re-capture the comedic voice that once defined him.

"Jay & Silent Bob Reboot" was a clumsy return to Kevin Smith's stoner slacker duo, and while "Clerks III" had a meaningful emotional core inspired by the filmmaker's real life brush with death and a meta narrative about the beginning of his film career, the movie ultimately...

‘The 4:30 Movie’ Review: Arrested Development
Image
Jam-packed with his familiar brand of vulgar yet verbose stoner humor and free-flowing riffs on movies—especially his own—the vibes are certainly off the charts in Kevin Smith’s The 4:30 Movie. Set in the summer of 1986, the film chronicles an initially magical day in the life of a Smith stand-in, Brian David (Austin Zajur), after he invites a girl from school, Melody Barnegat (Siena Agudong), to their local movie theater. But a raucous comedy of errors ensues thanks to Brian’s slacker friends, Burny (Nicholas Cirillo) and Belly (Reed Northrup), and a revolving door of local weirdos played by Smith’s Irl famous friends, turning the theater into a lawless asylum.

The 4:30 Movie doesn’t so much find Smith in his wheelhouse as it does in some kind of Synecdoche, New York-style Tower of slacker-movie Babylon. That, though, doesn’t translate to comedy gold, let alone a cohesive film.

Where To Watch The 4:30 Movie: Showtimes & Streaming Status
Image
Kevin Smith returns with a new movie, and the options for where to watch The 4:30 Movie in theaters or on streaming vary. 30 years after his breakout movie Clerks, Kevin Smith is still one of Hollywood's beloved voices as he's developed the View Askewniverse. With a passion for telling stories directly connected to his own experiences with movies, The 4:30 Movie is one of his most personal. The movie is semi-autobiographical and follows a teenage boy as he sneaks into movies and falls in love for the first time.

Although Kevin Smith's movies were never big budget fare with massive box office expectations, his films have become even more niche releases in the years leading up to The 4:30 Movie. This was evident with Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and Clerks III, two titles connected to Smith's biggest movies, receiving limited theatrical releases before being made available at home. The...

The Booties are coming in Kevin Smith’s The 4:30 Movie
Kevin Smith
The 4:30 Movie is the sixteenth feature film from director Kevin Smith, and a while back the movie not only received an R-rating from the Motion Picture Association ratings board, but it also secured a distribution deal with Saban Films that will see it reaching theatres on September 13th. In the trailer that has made its way online (and is embedded above), there’s a moment where we see a construction worker played by Jason Biggs having an intense experience in a port-a-potty… and Smith has revealed what’s going on in that scene. As it turns out, this is a movie-within-the-movie moment, much like the Sister Sugar Walls faux trailer that opens the trailer and the imagery we’ve seen from Astro Blaster and the Beaver-Men, which is the movie the characters are going to see at 4:30. The scene with Jason Biggs in a port-a-potty is from...

Kevin Smith’s Semi-Autobiographical ‘The 4:30 Movie’ Centers on ’80s Teen Cinephiles — Watch Trailer
Image
Kevin Smith has often blurred the lines between documentary and fiction. With semi-autobiographical film “The 4:30 Movie”, the writer/director is tapping into his New Jersey teen years.

Smith wrote and directed the feature that is billed as his “most personal film to date.” The coming-of-age story stars “Clerks 3” actor Austin Zajur as Brian David, a teen cinephile (and Smith surrogate) who regularly sneaks into movie theaters.

The official synopsis for “The 4:30 Movie” reads: “Three sixteen-year-old friends who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local cineplex. When one of the guys invites the girl of his dreams to see an R-rated film, all hilarity breaks loose, as a self-important theater manager (Ken Jeong) and teen rivalries interfere with his best-laid plans.”

The film takes place in the summer of 1986, and includes cameos from former Smith collaborators Justin Long, Rosario Dawson, Jason Biggs, Jason Mewes, Jason Lee (all the Jasons), and more.

"Movies make life make sense." Saban Films has unveiled the first official trailer for The 4:30 Movie, the new Kevin Smith coming-of-age comedy, described as "his most personal film" yet. While Smith has made three Clerks movies over the decades, this one is about him, telling the story of his love for movies growing up in New Jersey. Set in the summer of 1986, The 4:30 Movie is a coming-of-age story about three 16 year old friends who spend their Saturdays sneaking into movies at the local multiplex. When one of the guys also invites the girl of his dreams (Siena Agudong) to see the latest comedy, each of the teens will learn something serious about life and love before the credits roll. Set in the mobile phoneless, social media-free 80s, Smith shot this at Smodcastle Cinemas in New Jersey – the same movie theater he haunted every weekend when he was a teenager.

Quick Links Raj Goes Through Over 10 Relationships And Flings Throughout The Big Bang Theory Raj Is One Of The Big Bang Theory's Nicest Characters Sarah Michelle Gellar As Raj's Nobel Prize Awards Date Does Not Count

I have been a fan of the hilarious sitcom The Big Bang Theory since the first season aired in 2007. As an audience member, I find it very easy to become invested in the love stories the comedy series focuses on. There was the classic will-they-won't-they with Penny (Kaley Cuoco) and Dr. Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki). There was also the slow burn friends-to-lovers between the show's most quirky couple, Dr. Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik).

The Big Bang Theory ending honored these relationships in satisfying ways. However, this approach didn't extend to all the Big Bang Theory characters. Through much of the series, Rajesh Kuthrapoli (Kunal Nayyar) had...

The Inspiration Behind Raj’s Most Hilarious Quirk on ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Came from a Real-life Person’s Battle with Severe Anxiety
Image
The Big Bang Theory has garnered global attention, cementing a dedicated fanbase that continues to keep the show alive in their hearts. Featuring an ensemble cast of Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kunal Nayyar, and Kaley Cuoco among others, it became a cultural phenomenon with its unique blend of science with everyday humor.

A still from The Big Bang Theory | CBS

While Parsons’ character was primarily highlighted in the show, Nayyar’s role as Raj Koothrappali became one of the fan favorites due to his unique personality. But what stood out the most was his peculiar inability to speak to women without the aid of alcohol. Interestingly, this particular quirk has been inspired by a real-life person’s struggle with severe social anxiety.

Kunal Nayyar’s Role in The Big Bang Theory is Based on a Real Life-Inspiration

Kunal Nayyar gained global acclaim for portraying the role of Raj Koothrappali in The Big Bang Theory.

‘Fly Me to the Moon’ Star Channing Tatum Recalls Filming at Kennedy Space Center, First Day on Set With Scarlett Johansson: I ‘Immediately Started Making Fun of Her Wig’
Image
Channing Tatum can’t recall the first scene he and Scarlett Johansson filmed together for “Fly Me to the Moon.” He does, however, remember where they first met: at a table read for the romantic comedy.

Although Tatum and Johansson were both involved in the films “Don Jon” and “Hail, Caeser!,” the two actors “never crossed paths,” as Tatum puts it, until “Fly Me to the Moon.”

“I remember us going down right after the table read to go into hair and makeup and start to try to figure out our look for the movie — it’s period and everything — and she was trying to figure out her wig for the movie,” Tatum told Variety at the “Fly Me to the Moon” premiere in New York City on Monday night. “I just immediately started making fun of her wig. I was like, you’re gonna wear that? Is that like...
