Mona Fastvold is a Norwegian filmmaker and actor known for her work in intimate, character-driven drama. She first gained recognition as the director and co-writer of The Sleepwalker (2014) and later earned wider acclaim with The World to Come (2020), which premiered at international festivals and was noted for its nuanced performances and restrained visual style. She has also contributed as a co-writer on several films directed by Brady Corbet, including The Childhood of a Leader (2015), Vox Lux (2018), and The Brutalist (2024). In addition to her film work, Fastvold has directed music videos for a number of musicians.
