Omarion to Star as Charismatic Hitman in Drama Series ‘Wild Rose’ From Allblk (Exclusive)

Omarion will star as a charismatic hitman with a conscience in a new original drama series from AMC Networks’ Allblk titled “Wild Rose.”

Created by Deji Laray, the series follows Roosevelt aka “Rose,” who “comes from a family of assassins that also happen to run a nonprofit organization,” according to the logline. “Behind the nonprofit facade is an elite, family-run, hired-gun agency known for taking down high-profile targets.”

Rose’s life turns upside down when his wife and daughter mysteriously walk out of his life and disappear for months. Suspecting foul play, Rose embarks on a journey to uncover the truth, unraveling a “web of secrets that force him to question his identity within his own family.”

“I’m ecstatic that I’m back on your television in a new way,” Omarion said in a statement. “I can’t wait for the Allblk fans and others to see a different side of me.

‘Wicked City’ Renewed For Third Season At AllBlk

Exclusive: The AMC Allblk supernatural drama Wicked City has been renewed for a third season with production set to begin in March.

From co-creators and co-writers Kristin Iris Johnson and Serena M. Lee, Wicked City follows five urban witches who push their supernatural powers to new heights after uncovering dark secrets and accidentally entering the world of the forbidden.

Season 2 was set three months after failing to stop a magical slaver named The Handler (Karon Joseph Riley) when the Atlanta coven found themselves broken and separated. Jordan (Shaquita Smith) – who runs The Mystic Haven – and Angela (Chantal Maurice) try and fail to find Sherise (Chanel Mack) who’s being held captive by The Handler. Mona (Mercedez McDowell) moved away, and Camille.

Unbeknownst to the coven, Tabitha (Vanessa Bell Calloway) and Caden (Malika Blessing) are trapped inside...

Shaquita Smith Signs With The Green Room

Shaquita Smith, known for her breakout role in AllBlk’s supernatural drama series Wicked City, has signed with The Green Room for management.

Smith starred as Jordan Davis alongside Vanessa Bell Calloway, Taylor Polidore, Mercedez McDowell, Chantal Maurice and Chanel Mack, in Wicked City, directed by Dale S. Lewis and executive produced by Tressa “Azarel” Smallwood and Donte Lee.

Smith also guest-starred in television series including New Amsterdam, NCIS: New Orleans, Hap & Leonard, Homicide Hunter and Survivor’s Remorse, among others.

She most recently was seen starring in BET+ rom-com, My Valentine Crush, directed by Christopher A. Nolen, alongside Travis Cure and Jeff Logan.

Smith continues to be repped by Amy Lord at Eris Talent Agency and Noonie Relations.

Sony TV’s Diverse Directors Program Names Its Class Of 2022

Exclusive: Sony Pictures Television unveiled the 15 helmers selected for the next class of its Diverse Directors Program. They are Alison Rich, Alexandra Chando, Kristen Buckels, Mauro Mueller, Dale S. Lewis, Alvaro Ron, Caitlin Gerard, Cameron Ali Fay, Kandis Fay, Ria Pavia, David Mahmoudieh, Bao Tran, Gustavo Cooper, Zoe Stewart and Aron Kantor.

Now in its seventh year, the annual program provides opportunities for artists of diverse backgrounds to take part in an intensive episodic directing workshop consisting of discussion and instruction from working directors, production personnel and entertainment professionals at the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City.

Running through May 6 this year, the initiative is part of the Spt’s overall strategy to identify and cultivate an expanding pool of emerging talent from a wide range of backgrounds. .
