Jason Isaacs Joins Taylor Kitsch & Diego Luna In Hostage Thriller ‘Eleven Days’
Image
Exclusive: Hot on the heels of his first Emmy nomination for The White Lotus, Jason Isaacs has come aboard to star opposite Taylor Kitsch and Diego Luna in Eleven Days, the indie hostage thriller from Parkland and Concussion helmer Peter Landesman.

The film takes place in the sweltering heat of a Texas summer in 1974, watching as ruthless prisoner Federico Carrasco takes control of the Huntsville Penitentiary. The prison’s priest, Father Joseph O’Brien — played by Isaacs — joins forces with Jim Estelle (Kitsch), head of the Texas Department of Corrections, by entering the eye of the storm and offering himself as a hostage to out-game Carrasco and his men, in an attempt to save the lives of the other hostages that have been taken.

Script is by Kevin Sheridan with revisions by Landesman, based on the book Eleven Days In Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege at Huntsville, Texas by William T. Harper.

Fubar Canceled By Netflix – Arnold Schwarzenegger Blames Son?
Image
Fubar starred Arnold Schwarzenegger on Netflix, but it only ran for two seasons. Canceled, there won’t be a third installment of the live-action TV series. Recently, Arnold sort of blamed his son, Patrick, for the show’s demise. Read on to find out more.

Patrick’s Fault?

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a huge star, and it seems impossible that he could get canceled. Well, it turns out he can’t believe it either. Not long ago, he spoke with Seth Meyers on NBC’s Late Night. The duo talked about Patrick Schwarzenegger, who appeared on HBO’s The White Lotus as Saxon Ratliff.

Patrick is a breakout star on White Lotus – Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon – YouTube

Partick’s on-screen persona came across as a cocky guy enjoying a lavish getaway in Thailand. Notably, his role was marked by bold, over-the-top confidence and cringe-worthy sexual comments. It seems the entitled alpha male is popular again,...

7 Gen V Characters Ranked Worst to Best
Image
A spin-off of The Boys, Gen V burst onto Amazon Prime Video in September 2023, carving out its own twisted corner of The Boys universe. Set in the same universe and similar timeline, it is centered around a college just for supes, where youth, hormones, and corporate cynicism collide to create a compelling narrative.

Created by Craig Rosenberg, Evan Goldberg, and Eric Kripke, the television series is gearing up for the release of a second season, which will arrive on our screens in September. Set after the events of The Boys season 4, not only will it follow up on its debut season, but it will also set the stage for its parent series’ finale (via Deadline).

While fans are certainly excited, the reason why Gen V has turned out to be such a hit is that it is equally as diabolical and crazy as the Og series. Featuring characters who are equally chaotic and morally dense,...

5 Actors Who Almost Played Superman Before David Corenswet
Image
Thanks to James Gunn's charmingly silly "Superman," David Corenswet has joined a class of actors that includes the likes of Christopher Reeve, Henry Cavill, and Brandon Routh, all of whom have had the honor of playing the Man of Steel in a live-action project. Where history ranks the Corenswet among the greats who've portrayed Clark Kent and his superhero alter ego throughout the years remains to be seen, but his iteration of the character is certainly the funniest version in quite some time. It's also a refreshing change of pace following Superman's ultra-serious era under Zack Snyder, which will divide fans of superhero cinema until the end of time.

What's more, no one is disputing the fact that Corenswet looks the part. His dark hair, endearing smile, general good looks, and nice guy qualities align with Superman's classic features and characteristics. Heck, it wouldn't be shocking to learn that...

Balenciaga once again pushes the boundaries of fashion and photography with its Winter 2025 campaign, a reinterpretation of Juergen Teller’s iconic 1999 series ‘The Clients’. This time, the setting is a hotel in Biarritz, where the German photographer, alongside his creative partner Dovile Drizyte, captures a select group of global faces with rawness and sophistication, each embodying the maison’s avant-garde spirit.

Among the stars of this luxurious cast are Nicole Kidman, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Arthur Chen, Isabelle Huppert, Claudia Schiffer, Liu Wen, Adut Akech and Roxanne. ‘Squid Game’ and Diego Luna are the year’s biggest Emmy snubs: Poll
Image
Hell hath no fury like a TV fan scorned.

Following the announcement of the 2025 Emmy nominations, Gold Derby users were outraged that several top contenders failed to hear their names called. Nearly half of the people we polled said that Squid Game was the biggest snub, having received zero bids for Season 2 after winning six trophies for Season 1 in 2022.

Among the list of snubbed Squid Game actors: Lee Jung-jae, who won the last time he was eligible for playing Seong Gi-hun (Player 456); Choi Seung-hyun as the villainous Thanos (Player 230); Lee Byung-hun as the Front Man; Park Sung-hoon as trans contestant Cho Hyun-ju (Player 120); Kang Ae-shim as protective mother Jang Geum-ja (Player 149); Park Gyu-young as Kang No-eul, the North Korean defector who's now a pink-clad soldier; and Gong Yoo as the Recruiter on the outside.

Showrunner Hwang Dong-hyuk was overlooked for producing, writing, and directing Season 2 — he received all three noms...

Congrats, I Guess, but The White Lotus Is Unworthy of 23 Emmy Noms
Image
The White Lotus scored 23 Emmy nominations this year. No, that’s not a typo.

Nearly two dozen nominations, including four out of six slots for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama. And I have to ask: Have we lost the plot?

No, but seriously. It’s madness. If we’ve reached a point where we’re in the double digits for nominating individuals from a single series, there’s a category that encompasses that: Best Cast.

(Fabio Lovino/HBO)

The White Lotus is fine. I’ve slogged through the series, determined to figure out the hype, and it can be entertaining. The White Lotus is one of those series you watch because you think everyone else is too, and you don’t want to miss out on something.

Sure, it gives actors a playground to chew scenery in beautifully shot resorts in luxurious locations. But the sheer volume of praise...

Sofia Vergara & Tom Brady Spark ‘Summer Romance’ Rumors After Multiple Sightings Together In Ibiza
Image
Tom Brady, 47, and Sofia Vergara, 53, have been spotted together in Ibiza, Spain, sparking “summer romance” rumors.

The reports started a week ago when Brady and Vergara boarded the Luminara Superyacht among many other A-Listers including Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Kate Hudson and Colman Domingo for a two-night luxury voyage. The ship set sail from Rome, offering a variety of entertainment for those on board.

Guests were treated to two drone shows and performances by Ellie Goulding, Sting and Janelle Monáe.

Other guests on board the ship included Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tessa Thompson, singer Anitta and Brady’s former girlfriend, Irina Shayk.

While on board, Brady and Vergara appeared fond of one another during one of the yacht’s gala dinners, according to other guests at the event. They were photographed in an intimate seating arrangement, suggesting more than friendship between the two.

The pair reportedly continued hanging out in Ibiza after the yacht trip,...

HBO Max Boss Teases How ‘The White Lotus’ Creator's 'Survivor' Return Will Impact Season 4
Image
Don't be surprised if Season 4 of The White Lotus suddenly changes locations to Fiji. Even though the next season of the hit series is reportedly moving back to Europe, during a recent interview with Variety, HBO Max CEO and content chairman Casey Bloys revealed that series' creator Mike White's creative process is influenced by the places he visits — and currently the writer is filming the all-star 50th season of reality competition series Survivor in the South Pacific.

During the interview, Bloys commented that chances are that White is "observing his fellow contestants and taking notes and getting ideas" while he films Survivor's landmark season and that the great thing about the showrunner is that he "always has the show in his head worked out." So we already know which direction The White Lotus is taking on Season 4? Bloys elaborates:

"I have a sense of the ideas that he’s playing with,...

‘The White Lotus’ Checks Into the 2025 Emmy Noms With 23, Ties With ‘The Studio’
Image
The White Lotus has checked into the 2025 Emmys.

On Tuesday, the third season of the HBO series created by Mike White — who also directs, writes and executive produces the show — earned 23 Emmy nominations. It tied with Apple’s The Studio, which Seth Rogen co-created, co-wrote, directed and starred in. The noms fall just slightly behind HBO’s The Penguin, which scored 24, while Apple’s Severance picked up 27 nods, the highest amount for a show this year.

Season three of White Lotus, which centers around guests’ stay at a luxury resort, ran for seven weeks earlier this year, with the season finale airing on Sunday, April 6. This latest season starred Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Aimee Lou Wood, Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey, Jason Isaacs, Natasha Rothwell, Sam Nivola, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jon Gries and Sam Rockwell.

Goggins, Isaacs and Rockwell are nominated in the best supporting actor in a drama series category.

‘Paradise’ surprises again! How the drama shocked the Emmys
Image
Even as a show known for its twists, Paradise still managed to pull off a few surprises on Emmy nominations morning. The Hulu series secured four nominations total, all in major categories.

The first season of the show from This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman was nominated for Best Drama Series, Drama Actor for its lead Sterling K. Brown, Drama Supporting Actor for James Marsden, and Drama Supporting Actress for Julianne Nicholson (a double nominee today).

And while Brown's nomination was predicted by Gold Derby users, the other three were far from sure things.

This morning, Paradise was sitting at No. 9 in the Best Drama Series predictions, just outside the range of nominations. It ultimately snuck into the category when the sixth-ranked show, Squid Game, failed to make the cut.

The upsets were even more extreme in Marsden's and Nicholson's categories. Both the supporting actor and supporting actress were sitting at No.

Emmys Nominations Snubs: ‘Squid Game’ Shut Out, ‘Handmaid’s Tale’ Only Lands One Nod — Uzo Aduba Surprises
Image
The 2025 Emmy Awards failed to recognize a number of longtime favorites with nominations, with past winners Squid Game, Elisabeth Moss, Jon Hamm, Ted Danson and past nominees Yellowjackets and Selena Gomez not nominated this year.

Squid Game, which won six Emmys including the top prize of best drama actor for Lee Jung-jae for its first season in 2022, saw its second season completely absent from this year’s nominations. The hit Netflix series’ third and final season will be eligible for next year’s awards.

Similarly, The Handmaid’s Tale was once so adored by Emmy voters that it received multiple nominations in 2019 solely off of hanging episodes. The adaptation of Margaret Atwood’s best-selling novel of the same name, which won best drama series for its first season in 2017, only scored one nomination for Cherry Jones’ guest role, leaving out the rest of its acclaimed cast, including star Moss, who also...

HBO Max Celebrates Record for Most Emmy Nominations So Far Thanks to The Penguin, The White Lotus & More
Image
HBO Max has a lot to celebrate these days. After receiving a new makeover back to its former title, and officially bringing back the "HBO" part to the streaming service, Warner Bros.' platform has more reasons for joy.

The 2025 Emmy Nominations are out, and HBO Max has scored a new record. Per Variety, the network has set a new high with a total of 142 nominations. The haul comes from hit shows like The Penguin, The White Lotus Season 3, The Last of Us Season 2, and Hacks Season 4.

The network's previous record was in 2020, when it received 140 nominations. Now, it has surpassed it with two meaningful additions. However, HBO Max has yet to feature the all-time record, which is held by Netflix, a feat it reached in 2020. This year, Netflix had significantly less, with 120 nominations, ranking second behind HBO Max. In 2024, the streaming platform had 107 nominations, so the new number is exciting.

'Tis the day of the Emmys and all through the house, surprises are stirring and snubs are inspiring grouse. We rounded up this morning's biggest snubs and surprises from the 2025 Emmy nominations.

‘The White Lotus’ scores 23 nominations, but there are lots of snubs
Image
It’s clear Emmy voters remain fans of the HBO drama, which saw another impressive showing in this year’s nominations. Eight of the show's stars received nominations as did creator Mike White.

Best Drama Series: Nominated

The HBO series, which swept 10 Emmys in its first season and picked up five more in Season 2, has once again been nominated for Best Drama Series. At the time of the nominations, it was ranked third on Gold Derby’s odds list, behind Severance and The Pitt. It will go up against Andor, The Diplomat, The Last of Us, Paradise, The Pitt, Severance and Slow Horses.

Best Drama Supporting Actor: Nominated

The show had nine contenders in the supporting actor category, but only three earned nominations: Walton Goggins as Rick, Jason Isaacs as Timothy Ratliff, and Sam Rockwell as Frank. These three consistently ranked among Gold Derby’s top five contenders, with Goggins leading the pack.

For Supporting Actress in a Drama, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey and Natasha Rothwell were also honored, with the latter seeing a repeat nomination for her role as Belinda, which she originated back in Season 1. In a new interview on The Ringer’s Every Single Album podcast, the singer revealed that during the creation of her 2015 psychedelic album, drugs were one of her biggest expenses. She said,

The drugs were the biggest cost, To hide those from my accountant, we called them ‘vintage clothes.’ And so she would get these checks of thousands of dollars’ worth of vintage clothes. So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year, I’m so glad I survived that time in my life. I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard, but the fact that I got through it, I’m very glad I got to do it.

To avoid getting caught by her accountant,...

Julianne Nicholson dances her way to the top of the Comedy Guest Actress Emmy predictions for ‘Hacks’
Image
Looks like Dance Mom will boogie all the way to the Emmy podium.

Julianne Nicholson, who played the joyous (and drug-addicted) character on Hacks Season 4, now leads the Best Comedy Guest Actress race, taking down longtime frontrunner Jamie Lee Curtis for The Bear, who won last year. Nicholson's Dance Mom, aka Mary Alice, was recruited by Paul W. Downs' Jimmy and Megan Stalter's Kayla to appear on Late Night With Deborah Vance as a way for the talk show-within-a-show to gain a younger audience. At first, Jean Smart's Deborah was hesitant to let the untested woman take the stage, until she realized it would annoy Hannah Einbinder's Ava, and then all bets were off.

There's a new Hacks tonight, but I have not yet recovered from Julianne Nicholson dancing to Katy Perry's "Lifetimes" as Dance Mom in last week's episode. pic.twitter.com/SH3OPittFI

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Most Profitable Movie Role Is Truly Surprising
Image
When Arnold Schwarzenegger moved from his native Austria to the United States, it seemed as if absolutely nothing could stop him from becoming the polymath he ultimately would be. The man had a preternatural drive to succeed, and not just as a bodybuilder. Claiming the Mr. Olympia title seven times wasn't enough for Arnie, who had nothing short of world domination on his mind.

After he made his feature film debut in one of the worst-rated movies of all time back in 1970, Schwarzenegger slowly built up his acting career, spending most of the 1980s competing with Sylvester Stallone to become the biggest action star in the world. He did a damn fine job, too. "Conan the Barbarian," "The Terminator," "Commando," "Raw Deal," "Predator" — these were some of the best and most successful action movies of all time, becoming emblematic of the uber-macho '80s style and turning Schwarzenegger into the archetypal action hero.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 77, Reveals He "Made More Money" From This 42% Rotten Tomatoes Comedy Than Anything Else in His Career
Image
Arnold Schwarzenegger has blown up robots, crushed skulls in the jungle, and fought off apocalyptic future threats. But none of those action-packed roles netted him a bigger payday than Twins — the 1988 buddy comedy with a 42% Rotten Tomatoes score that became, surprisingly, the most financially rewarding film of his legendary career. In a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the Terminator icon shocked viewers by revealing that Twins earned him “more than $40 million” thanks to one very unconventional deal made with co-star Danny DeVito and director Ivan Reitman.

“We got no money for the salary but ownership with a piece of the back end. It was fantastic. We went all the way to the bank with that.”

When Cohen pressed for a number, asking if it was more than $20 million, Schwarzenegger laughed and replied, “Oh, yeah. Much more.” Was it over $40 million? “It was more than that,...

Arnold Schwarzenegger Says He Made the Most Money in His Entire Career with ‘Twins’
Image
Now here’s a flex: just how much money Arnold Schwarzenegger made on 1988 comedy “Twins.” The film, which co-starred Danny DeVito as Schwarzenegger’s fraternal twin brother, turned out to be the actor’s biggest payday of his career.

Schwarzenegger said during a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” (in the below video) that, instead of not taking much of a salary for his work on the film, he opted for a deal for a percentage of its box office gross. The feature ended up making $216 million worldwide in theaters, and continued to profit with a home video release.

“Well, number one was ‘Twins,’ because we got no money for the salary but ownership with a piece of the backend,” Schwarzenegger said of his biggest paycheck ever. “It was fantastic. We went all the way to the bank with that.”

It turns out, Schwarzenegger made more than $40 million on the film.

‘The White Lotus’ Emmy predictions: Which nominations will the cast and crew get?
Image
The White Lotus cast may have better luck at the Emmys in Los Angeles than their on-screen counterparts did during their ill-fated Thai vacation. While tragedy shadowed the fictional guests at the resort, the series’ stellar Emmy track record hints at a much brighter fate this awards season.

If history is any indicator, The White Lotus is poised for another big night. The show’s first season swept 10 Emmys, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Season 2 followed suit with five wins, among them Jennifer Coolidge’s win for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series. In her now-iconic acceptance speech, Coolidge thanked creator Mike White, saying:

“Mike White, you have given me hope and changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbors are speaking to me. I mean it. I was never invited to one party on my hill and now everyone’s inviting me.”

As awards season heats up,...

Patrick Schwarzenegger Has Discovered ‘The White Lotus’ Gay Porn Parody: “Excuse Me?”
Image
Although Patrick Schwarzenegger‘s breakout performance might have been shocking to some, the subject matter was hardly new to most gay audiences.

The White Lotus star recently recounted “some really weird experiences” since appearing on Season 3 of Mike White‘s HBO anthology series, including the discovery of a gay porn parody of the show.

“Last week, I was at the gym with two of my friends,” he recalled. “And a guy walked up to me and said, ‘I love your work, and I had to come over to you because my boyfriend just booked playing Saxon Ratliff in The Tight Lotus.'”

Schwarzenegger continued, “I said, ‘What is that?’ And he said, ‘Tight Lotus—it’s a new porno coming out!’ And I said, ‘Excuse me?’ And he goes, ‘Yeah—he’s playing you.’ I was like, ‘Oh my god!'”

Sure enough, gay adult entertainment company Men.com announced The Tight Lotus last month.

3 superheroes White Lotus star Patrick Schwarzenegger was born to play
Image
Emmy-winning HBO series The White Lotus has seen its share of breakout stars, including Jennifer Coolidge, Sydney Sweeney, and Theo James. Season 3 of The White Lotus has launched another breakout star whose father just so happens to be a 7-time Mr. Olympia, former governor, and an iconic action movie star, and whose mother is an award-winning journalist and the niece of former President John F. Kennedy.

Yes, I’m talking about the breakout star of The White Lotus season 3: Patrick Schwarzenegger. Schwarzenegger's role in The White Lotus as the protein shakes-drinking douchebag nepo-baby Saxon Ratliff may have some type-casting comparisons; however, his performance was a subtle, complex nuanced tour de force of angst, vulnerability, and family loyalty that certainly surprised fans and critics alike. It would not surprise me if Schwarzenegger were honored with multiple nominations during next year’s award season.

Recently, Schwarzenegger acknowledged that he had auditioned for James Gunn’s Superman,...

White Lotus Season 3 Star Says Cast Was Kept in a 'Bubble to the Extreme' During Filming
Image
All three seasons of The White Lotus immersed the cast in their characters, even when the cameras were not rolling. Season 3 star Sarah Catherine Hook said series creator Mike White placed them inside a "bubble to the extreme" by having all of them live together throughout filming.

Sarah Catherine Hook said The White Lotus Season 3 seemed like an extended vacation for the cast and crew: "The whole resort was for us, which wasn't always the case," she explained. Speaking with Awards Radar, Hook added that perk has a downside, alluding to reports of drama behind the scenes. "Every meal was shared, every week, every time we went to breakfast, lunch, or dinner, like you would see every single person that you're working with," she confirmed. "So it was almost like some sort of social experiment, like Big Brother or something."

If familiarity breeds contempt, then that prolonged shared experience likely caused some friction.

And the Emmy Nominations Should Go to…
Image
The key races for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards couldn’t be more different.

The comedy categories appear to be heading for another showdown between The Bear — once again prompting an obligatory “Is it a drama or a comedy?” debate — and Hacks, with several returning shows still in the mix while the drama fields, which Shōgun dominated last year, are wide open.

While voters can, and in many cases should, absolutely go back to prior favorites like The White Lotus, Severance and The Last of Us, the THR television critics have recommendations on some familiar and some quirky and offbeat ways to fill out ballots.

Voting for the nomination round closes on Monday, June 23, with nominations announced on Tuesday, July 15. The 2025 Emmys will air on CBS and Paramount+ on Sept. 14, with Nate Bargatze serving as host.
