Chris Pratt Knows What Andy Dwyer's Future Would Be In Parks & Rec Reboot
Image
Chris Pratt said he knows exactly where hisParks and Recreationcharacter, Andy Dwyer, would have ended up after the show’s end. Pratt, who played the hapless but lovable Andy for seven seasons on the popular NBC comedy, gave some insight as to where he’d have ended up should the show return for a reboot.

Pratt told Access Hollywood that not only would he be “game” for a Parks & Rec reboot, he also knows that Andy would end up moving to Pawnee’s rival town, Eagleton, and integrate fully into their world. Pratt says Andy would have become a “yuppie” as well as a children’s performer. Read his full quote below.

A reboot? Of course, I’d be game. That was one of the most special seasons of my life, all seven seasons of the show, but that entire era for me, it was so much fun. I love it so much.

Image
Netflix has no lack of great crime movies for those looking for a great story about smash-and-grab robberies, lifetime criminals or even thieving magicians. Below, we’ve put together a curated list of some of the best crime movies on Netflix right now, ranging from Oscar-winning dramas to underseen indies and beyond. There’s a little something for everyone, which speaks to the diversity of stories inside the crime genre.

The Departed Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon in “The Departed” (Warner Bros. Pictures)

Despite being the man behind classics like “Raging Bull,” “Taxi Driver” and “The King of Comedy,” Martin Scorsese didn’t win his first Oscar until 2006’s “The Departed,” a fairly straightforward crime thriller with tremendous commercial appeal. That’s not to ding “The Departed” – the movie’s a rich and wildly entertaining crime saga – but it was surprising that it was this film that finally netted Scorsese the trophy.

15 Years Ago, One Of The Most Unique Comic Book Movies Ever Was A Major Box Office Bummer
Image
(Welcome to Tales from the Box Office, our column that examines box office miracles, disasters, and everything in between, as well as what we can learn from them.)

"Taking the sensibility of Edgar Wright, before I even knew what he wanted to do with it, and applying it to that material, I knew in an instant that this could be quite a combustible combination." Those are the words of producer Marc Platt speaking on a making-of documentary attached to the "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" Blu-ray release. Naturally, the material he's talking about was the "Scott Pilgrim" comics by Bryan Lee O'Malley.

Wright was coming off of the success of his now-classic horror/comedy "Shaun of the Dead" and its follow-up, the brilliant cop comedy "Hot Fuzz." Both movies were decent hits that put Wright on Hollywood's radar in a big way. When Universal Pictures was looking to put together...

Image
Spoiler Alert: This piece contains spoilers for the first two episodes of Wednesday Season 2.

One notable absence from the sophomore season of Alfred Gough and Miles Millar’s Wednesday is that of broody artist Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White), who played a significant love interest for Jenna Ortega’s titular main character in Season 1.

White posted a photo of the cast on his Instagram story two days later, wishing the cast luck and saying he had fun filming Season 1.

In the first episode of the new season, Steve Buscemi’s Principal Barry Dort asks Wednesday’s mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) to chair the Gala Fundraising Committee. Xavier...

Jason Statham Fans Flock to Streaming To Watch His Action Thriller Flop for Free
Image
It may have flopped in theaters, but Jason Statham's stylish 2023 spy thriller Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre is enjoying a surprising comeback—this time, for free. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the action-comedy hybrid was all but swallowed by a stacked release calendar in early 2023, when it had the misfortune of opening against John Wick: Chapter 4, Creed III, and Scream VI. Despite a $50 million budget and a globe-trotting premise, the film managed just $48.9 million worldwide, missing the mark and quickly fading from the box office conversation. But now? It's quietly become a streaming hit—and fans are rediscovering what they missed the first time around.

After rolling out across various streaming platforms like Hulu, Peacock, and Starz, Operation Fortune has now made its free streaming debut on Tubi. The result? A groundswell of late-blooming appreciation from Statham and Ritchie fans alike. The film stars Statham as elite spy Orson Fortune,...

The Epic Production Behind Francis Ford Coppola's $14M Sci-Fi Flop Revealed In New Documentary Trailer
Image
The new trailer for a raw documentary about Francis Ford Coppola's self-financed passion project, Megalopolis, reveals the epic production behind the 2024 flop. The five-time Oscar winner spent $120 million to fund the movie that took him over 40 years to make. With an idea first conceived in 1977, the Godfather filmmaker began writing the script in 1983, but it wasn't until last year that the movie finally made it into the theaters.

Megalopolis' star-studded cast features Adam Driver, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Giancarlo Esposito, Laurence Fishburne, and many others. However, despite the star power and Coppola's reputation, the movie faced a series of challenges in marketing and only grossed around $14 million against a massive budget.

Now, Utopia has released a new trailer for Mike Figgis' documentary, titled Megadoc, teasing a never-before-seen look at Coppola's journey in shaping the world of Megalopolis. From unfiltered interviews to a close-up view of Coppola's process, the documentary...

This Sleeper Spy Film Was the End of an Era for Jason Statham & Guy Ritchie (& It's Exploding on Streaming)
Image
Per FlixPatrol, Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, which was released in 2023, is, as of Aug. 1, the No. 3 most-streamed movie on Hulu in the U.S. Only The Amateur and Locked, which hold the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively, are ahead of Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.

Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre was directed by Ritchie, who co-wrote the script for the film with Ivan Atkinson and Marn Davies. The film follows Statham’s character, a special agent/spy named Orson Fortune, as he works to obtain a stolen high-tech item known as “the Handle” before Greg Simmonds (Hugh Grant) can take it to auction.

Both Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie made their feature film debuts with 1998’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. The movie marked the first theatrical release for both writer-director Ritchie and star Statham, who would later rise to massive success as an action star.

First Teaser for 'Megadoc' on the Making of Coppola's 'Megaflopolis'
Image
"The magic and making of Francis Ford Coppola's epic Megalopolis." Utopia has revealed the first look teaser trailer for a new making of documentary film titled Megadoc, from director Mike Figgis. This mega documentary is trying to be the Hearts of Darkness (which was a look at Coppola's troubled Apocalypse Now set) for Megalopolis, which opened in theaters last year. The only problem is that Megalopolis not only flopped big time, but it's just not a good movie by any measure, and Coppola needs to accept this. I get that he spent tons of money on it, and he's trying to be bold and provocative again, but it's a complete mess and most people don't care about it (unlike with Apocalypse Now). This Megadoc features appearances by Francis Ford Coppola (but of course!), Adam Driver, Aubrey Plaza, Nathalie Emmanuel, Dustin Hoffman, Giancarlo Esposito, Chloe Fineman, Shia Labeouf, Laurence Fishburne,...

Real Reason Why Paul Schneider Left Parks and Rec After Season 2
Image
When Parks and Recreation premiered in 2009, Paul Schneider’s character, Mark Brendanawicz, was positioned as a major player in the ensemble cast. A city planner in Pawnee, Mark was introduced as a cynical counterpart to Leslie Knope’s unshakable optimism.

He had a history with Leslie and quickly became entangled in the plot to turn an abandoned pit into a park. In those early episodes, Mark wasn’t just a supporting character; he was central to the story’s heartbeat.

Yet by the end of season two, Mark was gone. Abruptly written out of the show, he made his final appearance in the season two finale, “Freddy Spaghetti,” and was never mentioned again. It was as if he had never existed. So, what happened?

Mark’s exit was especially odd because Parks and Rec became known for its recurring characters and emotional callbacks. Fans often wonder why he left, why no one acknowledged him again,...

"I Used My Last Hundred Million Dollars": Francis Ford Coppola Reveals Financial Challenges For His Next Movie After $14M Sci-Fi Disappointment
Image
Francis Ford Coppola has explained the impact Megalopolis is having on his next movie. Self-financed by the five-time Oscar winner, the 2024 sci-fi thriller is the director's passion project, retelling the Catilinarian conspiracy in an alternate New York and drawing parallels between the fall of the Roman Republic and the future of the United States.

But despite being fueled by star power, it struggled to find a distributor to cover the production costs and marketing. Marred by controversy, Megalopolis polarized critics and grossed only $14.3 million against a massive $120 million budget.

Agatha All Along season 2 gets a disheartening update
Image
There is no doubt that Jac Schaeffer is one of the reasons Marvel Studios’ shows on Disney Plus went from something experimental to a must-have. She started the run with WandaVision, and everyone fell in love. The show wasn’t just funny; it made people think differently about love and power and what people will do with and for both.

Within WandaVision came Kathryn Hahn’s brilliant performance as the super-powerful and long-living Agatha Harkness. Hahn has been a star forever, but the platform of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brought even more eyes to her incredible talent. As she and her character were so beloved, Marvel greenlit spinoff Agatha All Along with Jac Schaeffer. And, shocking to no one, it was a hit.

Agatha All Along combined phenomenal storytelling with equally as good acting, representation, and songs. It’s no wonder that people want more of it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

With such an important comedy series making a comeback, wouldn't it be the perfect opportunity to bring its "sister" series Parks and Recreation to return as well? Severance star Adam Scott seems to think so. During a participation on the Entertainment Weekly podcast, the actor talked about his unique idea for a Parks & Rec spin-off.

When he was asked about a character that he'd like to revisit, Scott had an immediate answer ready. Not only that, the Parks and Recreation alumnus had a full premise of what could be the new series' starting point — and it would make perfect sense in the universe of the series if you think about it for a couple of seconds. So,...

Elle Fanning Says Fans Made Her ‘Hunger Games’ Prequel Casting Happen: Lionsgate Was Getting ‘Hounded’
Image
Sometimes studios just can’t fight the power of fan casting. In-demand star Elle Fanning recently confirmed that she joined prequel film “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” in part due to fans online.

“I think fans made this happen in a way,” Fanning told MTV in the below video. “The studio [Lionsgate] said they were getting kind of hounded online, like, ‘Elle needs to play Effie.'”

Fanning was announced to be playing Effie Trinket on May 20; the character was originally brought to the screen by Elizabeth Banks, whom Fanning said that she “loves.”

Fanning added to Et that Effie is her “favorite character” because of “how great” Banks’ performance is. According to Fanning, Banks also congratulated her on being cast in the role. “She sent me flowers that were beautiful, saying, ‘The odds are ever in your favor,'” Fanning said, continuing that she really does want...

‘Megadoc’ First Look: Mike Figgis Captures an ‘Unfiltered’ Understanding of Francis Ford Coppola’s Making of ‘Megalopolis’
Image
Francis Ford Coppola’s controversial “Megalopolis” production is now being given the documentary treatment. Mike Figgis directs “Megadoc” about the making of Coppola’s self-funded $120 million epic. While the buzzy cast included a slew of “canceled” actors as well as beloved stars, the feature was plagued with allegations of wild on-set antics and unwanted advances against extras (Coppola has denied the claims.) Figgis, meanwhile, was on set to capture it all.

“Megadoc” is billed as an “unfiltered” look into Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and the auteur’s creative process as a whole. The official synopsis for “Megadoc” reads: “A raw, fly-on-the-wall documentary about Francis Ford Coppola’s decades-long journey in creating his self-financed passion project, ‘Megalopolis.’ The bold and unrelenting epic returns in Mike Figgis’ portrait of Coppola’s creative process – weaving together archival material, unfiltered cast interviews, and a close-up view of how the legendary filmmaker drew from Roman history,...

Coppola Isn’t Done: ‘Megalopolis’ Is Getting Recut, and the Director Promises It’s Going to Be Even Weirder
Image
A year ago, Francis Ford Coppola, the legendary director behind classics like “The Godfather” and “Apocalypse Now,” released his sci-fi epic “Megalopolis.”

The film, which tells the story of a visionary architect fighting a corrupt politician to rebuild a city after a disaster, didn’t get the warm welcome Coppola hoped for. Despite spending $120 million of his own money, the movie struggled to find an audience.

Coppola premiered “Megalopolis” at Cannes, hoping for a big success, but the reaction was mostly confusion. Lionsgate later picked up the film and released it in theaters in May 2025, where it ran for 138 minutes.

Unfortunately, it only made about $7 million. After that, Lionsgate pulled the film from theaters, gave the rights back to Coppola, and no streaming or Blu-ray releases followed. The movie can’t even be rented on Amazon anymore, with the listing showing “rights expired.”

But Coppola isn’t giving up. At 85 years old,...

Francis Ford Coppola Teases a ‘Megalopolis’ Recut to Make the Film ‘More Weird’: I ‘Can Do Anything I Want’
Image
Francis Ford Coppola is already planning to re-release “Megalopolis.” The auteur has famously recut a slew of his most iconic features, including “Apocalypse Now.” Soon, “Megalopolis” will also be revisited in the edit room, with Coppola teasing that the proudly Razzie award-winning epic will be “more weird” with the recut.

“It was [originally] more weird,” Coppola said during the New Jersey leg of his tour for the 2024 film (via the World of Reel). “I own the picture, I can do anything I want with it.” The recut will include added deleted dream sequences that will make the film “weirder.”

Coppola said that he cut certain sequences from the final film “because already people were saying this film was so weird.”

“Megalopolis” stars Adam Driver as architect Cesar Catilina, who strives to create a utopian city while battling Mayor Franklyn Cicero (Giancarlo Esposito). Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, and Aubrey Plaza...

Whether Scarlet Witch Is Really Gone From The MCU Addressed By WandaVision Director
Image
The status of Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been addressed by a key player in the character's journey. After having a smaller role in the Infinity Saga, Wanda Maximoff grew in importance in the McU's Multiverse Saga. She led one of the McU's best TV shows, with WandaVision making the character's popularity skyrocket.

However, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness would prove itself a divisive MCU release due to how it treated Wanda. After her emotional arc in WandaVision, the MCU movie saw the Scarlet Witch revert to being a villain and leaving a trail of blood all over the multiverse in the search for her sons. Then, Wanda died destroying the Darkholds.

Speaking with ScreenRant's own Ash Crossan for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Matt Shakman, who also directed all episodes of WandaVision, commented on whether the Scarlet Witch is really gone.

Cameron Diaz To Lead New Netflix Action Comedy 'Bad Day'
Image
Cameron Diaz's return to acting is set to continue with another partnership with Netflix. Today's a Sad Day for Agatha All Along Fans
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe was all but shut out at this year's Emmys. Four years after WandaVision earned some major nominations, Agatha All Along just barely squeezed her way into this year's competition.

While Agatha All Along managed to score three Emmy nominations, the MCU show was completely shunned in all the major categories that WandaVision was nominated for back in 2021, albeit for its respective Limited Series or Anthology categories. Agatha All Along was submitted as a comedy series instead of a limited series by Marvel, leading many to speculate that future seasons may be on the way, which meant that it had tougher competition. Ultimately,Agatha All Along was nominated for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour).

Created by Jac Schaeffer, Agatha All Along picks up three years after the events of WandaVision, focusing on...

Image
While The White Lotus didn’t sweep the Supporting Actor/Actresses in a Drama Series category, as was at times predicted, the HBO powerhouse did match its Season 2 Emmy nomination tally with 23 this year, bringing its to-date total to 66 with 15 overall wins — with more potentially in store at the ceremony to be held Sept. 14.

Once again nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, performers Jason Isaacs, Scott Glenn and Aimee Lou Wood scored their first-ever Emmy nominations this year.

For Supporting Actress in a Drama, Carrie Coon, Parker Posey and Natasha Rothwell were also honored, with the latter seeing a repeat nomination for her role as Belinda, which she originated back in Season 1. They, along with Wood, face one performer each from Paradise, The Pitt and Severance (Patricia Arquette).

In the Supporting Actor category, the noms...

Jason Statham’s Stylish Box-Office Disaster With a ‘White Lotus’ Star Is Returning to Streaming
Image
Jason Statham fans are rarely short of something to watch. Since the start of this decade, the British skull-cracker has appeared in a total of eight movies, with another, the action-packed thriller Mutiny, now moved to a January 9, 2026, release date. Because of this, and thanks to countless action flicks from before the current decade, Statham movies are almost a constant in the revolving door of streaming platforms.

One of Statham's most recent flicks, a stylish, star-studded project, is the latest in a long line from his filmography to grace our home viewing, officially joining the ranks of Hulu on July 28, 2025. That movie is the slick 2023 effort Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, which sees Statham portray an elite espionage agent who must join forces with an actor to stop a dangerous threat. Written and directed by Guy Ritchie, the man who gave Statham his big break in one of the best movies of the 1990s,...

Legendary Entertainment Eyes Lionsgate Studios Acquisition
Image
Legendary Entertainment is eyeing a possible acquisition of Lionsgate Studios, TheWrap has learned.

Lionsgate, whose franchises include “The Hunger Games” and “John Wick,” split with Starz earlier this year. As it stands, the companies are potentially looking to work together on upcoming movies.

A spokesperson for both Lionsgate and Legendary declined to comment.

Lionsgate Studios, which encompasses its Motion Picture Group and the Television Studio segment as well as the company’s 20,000-plus title film and television library, began trading last year on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol Lion.

Last year, Legendary grossed over $20 billion at the global box office and experienced its most profitable year to date. Together, “Dune: Part Two” and “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” earned over $1.28 billion at the global box office, with the latter becoming the highest-grossing film in the multi-billion-dollar franchise.

Since Josh Grode’s appointment as CEO in 2018, major titles from...

A Marvel Megastar Gave James Gunn a Blunt Answer About Playing a Justice League Member
Image
Ryan Reynolds has become known for his role as Deadpool in the Fox X-Men universe and, more recently, in the MCU’s 2024 hit Deadpool & Wolverine. However, years before he ever suited up as the Merc with a Mouth, he starred in a critically panned film for another comic book studio. Reynolds suits up as Hal Jordan, aka the Green Lantern, in Green Lantern, the 2011 superhero film that also stars Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro.

The Dcu is firmly in the hands of James Gunn now, who recently directed all three Guardians of the Galaxy movies for Marvel. Gunn has also worked on other projects like The Suicide Squad and its spin-off series, Peacemaker. During a recent interview on the DC Showcase Podcast, Gunn revealed that he got a congratulatory text from Ryan Reynolds when he got the CEO job at DC. Gunn thanks...

Jason Statham's $104 Million Beekeeper Predecessor Movie Is Quietly Dominating Streaming
Image
Three years before The Beekeeper, Jason Statham starred in the equally successful action hit Wrath of Man. Now, the movie is finding success on Hulu after being added to the streamer's library at the start of July.

Per FlixPatrol, a day after being added to Hulu, Wrath of Man has already landed on the streamer's Top 10 Movies list, currently sitting in the No. 9 spot. If the Statham-led action movie wants to climb higher on the chart, it will have to go through several popular features, such as the 1996 sci-fi blockbuster Independence Day, the 2013 crime comedy The Heat, the modern Disney classic Holes, and the Liam Neeson drama film Absolution. Wrath of Man's streaming success comes three years after the movie, a remake of the 2004 French film Cash Truck, conquered the box office, grossing $104 million worldwide against a $40 million budget.

Inside that surprise ‘Ironheart’ cameo — and how it could net the Marvel show an Emmy nod (spoilers)
Image
Warning: This post contains big spoilers for the season finale of Ironheart.

Ironheart just learned a lesson that Batman mastered decades ago: Never dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.
