The Chicago Med cast re-introduced Nurse Jackie during the show’s latest episode. It was also a hint that she would be around for a while.
We first met Nurse Jackie Nelson at the end of Chicago Med Season 9. Jackie popped up during the 12th episode to help Maggie Lockwood in the Ed.
It was an emotional story arc for Jackie, with Maggie worrying that Jackie was overworking herself. But there were other reasons to be concerned because Jackie was harming herself.
The writing presented a situation where viewers worried Jackie might have been hurt by someone else, but Maggie later found Jackie in the bathroom in distress. That’s when Maggie discovered the real story.
Dr. Daniel Charles was forced to put Jackie on a 72-hour psych hold when the nurse would address the problem. That may have been the help Jackie needed.
That was the backstory before Nurse...

ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” Apple TV Plus’ “Little Voice” and Netflix’s “Locke & Key” and “Away” are the four television series that have just earned the Ruderman Family Foundation’s Seal of Authentic Representation, Variety has learned exclusively.
Additionally, the foundation is awarding the seal, which is given to those projects that demonstrate a commitment toward authentic representation of people with disabilities by featuring actors with disabilities in a speaking role with at least five lines, to two films: “Sam & Mattie Make a Zombie Movie” and “Run.”
“With each and every authentic casting decision, Hollywood takes another crucial step toward fulfilling its true and long-unrealized potential as a beacon of inclusion and diversity in all its forms,” said Jay Ruderman, president of the Ruderman Family Foundation. “The latest recipients of the Seal of Authentic Representation, building off the momentum generated by our previous rounds of honorees, powerfully exhibit the...

It has been a hell of a season for the top-rated, longstanding medical drama.
If Grey's Anatomy Season 16 didn't do anything else, it kept fans talking.
It had love triangles, relationship drama, patient advocacy, mental illness storylines, and the unexpected and shocking exit of veteran actor Justin Chambers that left fans and the series reeling.
We were better acquainted with the Grey's-verse with Station 19 crossovers, and the rocky season came to an early close thanks to a pandemic.
But it managed to work as a season finale with quite the cliffhanger, and the season ended on a stronger note than it started.
Let's dig into this highly-discussed season and talk about what worked and what didn't.

Um, okay. Let's do this.
If you're an impatient person, then Grey's Anatomy Season 16 Episode 13 probably drove you insane.
We still don't know the paternity of Amelia's child, Alex's whereabouts, McWidow's actual purpose, which version of Tom, Jackson, and Owen we'll get from each installment when Merluca decided they were a thing again, and what's ailing Suzanne.
And those are off the top of the head. But the hour did introduce us to new doctor Lauren Riley; only the third deaf doctor portrayed on television, and sort of wrapped up the Pac-North storyline.
It also had the cutest senior-aged couple reminding us what love looks like before Valentine's Day.
And Bailey might consider taking in that 17-year-old orphan, whose origin story was on Station 19 Season 3 Episode 4.
On that note, it's the most popular complaint about the season, especially now that Station 19 has started its new season airing before Grey's Anatomy.

When “Grey’s Anatomy” introduces Dr. Lauren Riley in its Feb. 13 episode, “Save the Last Dance for Me,” it marks more than just Shoshannah Stern’s debut on the long-running drama: Dr. Riley is also the first recurring deaf doctor on a primetime network series.
To tackle the groundbreaking character, Stern teamed up with “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner Krista Vernoff, who initially didn’t realize this would be a historic first.
“I didn’t know until we were on set shooting it,” Vernoff tells Variety, calling the vibe on set “electric.” “And that is the power of Shoshannah: I fell in love with her as a human, as a communicator, as an actress. I thought she was incredible and I wanted to put her on my show. I did not even know it had never been done before. That’s wild to me. And so to learn that on the day that...
