Exclusive: King Kong, the biggest beast of them all, is about to supersize in the book world.

The King Kong of Skull Island brand is to become the initial focus for World Builder Publishing, a new division of Dannie Festa’s management and franchise building company World Builder Entertainment.

World Builder will partner with DeVito ArtWorks and the Merian C. Cooper Estate to develop books that expand the King Kong of Skull Island universe. DeVito is the creator, author and artist behind King Kong of Skull Island, which is a licensed rewrite of Merian C. Cooper’s original King Kong film from 1933.

“We’re thrilled to have World Builder Publishing as our publishing partner,” said DeVito. “Their expertise in franchise-building and storytelling makes them the perfect home for Kong’s next chapter. Extending World Builder’s reach into the often frustrating and slow-moving world of traditional publishing brings a welcome alternative to the industry.

Michelle Trachtenberg wrote a screenplay before her death, and a producer recently revealed how Hollywood studios failed to recognize her "incredible" writing. But the Buffy the Vampire Slayer star's project may now take off in the wake of her untimely passing.

Trachtenberg passed away at the age of 39 on Feb. 26. It has since been revealed that she was working on a screenplay for a film called Toy Monster, based on Jerry Oppenheimer’s book of the same name. Casey Tebo, a producer for the project, spoke with People about Trachtenberg’s talents as a writer and his frustrations with Hollywood for not recognizing her skill. "[My] dear friend Jay Cohen [Michelle's boyfriend] sent me a script she had written called Toy Monster."

Before her untimely death on Feb. 26, Michelle Trachtenberg was primarily known for her work in front of the camera on such beloved hits as Harriet the Spy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and Gossip Girl. However, according to producer Casey Tebo, she was so much more than just an accomplished actress. She was, in fact, "an incredible writer," and now he's making it his mission to bring a screenplay she wrote to life.

Speaking with People recently, Tebo said he was presented with Trachtenberg's script, Toy Monster, by her boyfriend, Jay Cohen. "I don't remember when, but my dear friend Jay Cohen sent me a script she had written called Toy Monster," he told the outlet, adding:

"The only scripts I remember staying with me like that in recent memory were two. Here Comes the Flood by Simon Kinberg and Toy Monster around 2019. Because they were the two best, by a landslide.

Still, you might need something to bridge the gap between the more traditional spooky movies you watch in October and the Christmas-heavy horror of December. Bruce Campbell, star of the classic horror franchise, is joining the fourth season of the Peacock comedy. Campbell will guest star as John Griffin, father of Glenn Howerton’s Jack Griffin in the series. An absent father to Jack most of his life, he recently had a spiritual awakening with hopes to reconnect with his adult son.

It is Campbell’s latest television role, having appeared in episodes of AMC’s Lodge 49 and Fargo in recent years as well as in Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC comedy pilot Adopted.

He is best known for playing Ash Williams in Sam Raimi’s Evil Dead and is currently producing the next film in the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead Rise, alongside Sam Raimi and will next be seen in Casey Tebo’s indie thriller, Black Friday.

The film is not about Aerosmith, per se, but about Tyler himself and focuses on his new style - country. The synopsis explains it's about him "as he embraces the challenges of shifting gears, both as a solo performer and in a new genre of music." Oh boy. The film features interviews with Steven Tyler, The Loving Mary Band, Slash, Robert Deleo, Jaren Johnston, Starfighters, David Hodges, Chris Destefano, and Nathan Barlowe. And it's directed by a filmmaker who made Aerosmith: Rock for the Rising Sun previously. Even though this is a real doc, it's one of the few I just couldn't care less about, but that's just me.
