Beatriz Seigner is a Brazilian writer-director best known for her film "Los Silencios" that premiered at Cannes Director's Fortnight in 2018. She is the winner of the Best Director and Critics Prize at Brasilia FF, being also the winner of Ai Weiwei Impact Award at Stockholm IFF, the Spanish Cooperation Award at San Sebastian IFF, the Best Artistic Contribution in a debute film at Havana IFF, Best Script and Special Jury Prize at Lima IFF, and a Honor Mention by UNESCO at Goa IFF, among other prizes, by her contribution to the culture of peace with this film.
She is also the writer, director and producer of the feature film Bollwyood Dream (2010), the first Indian-Brazilian film coproduction, that premiered at Busan IFF, being one of the most voted films by the public at Sao Paulo IFF.
