Haley Joel Osment in A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001)
A bonus episode of Big Brother 26 aired on Tuesday night.

This special installment served as a look back on the season, even though we are only at Day 29 on August 13.

Much of the night was spent showing clips from the season, with some new footage sprinkled in and much discussion about the biggest moments.

Kenney Kelley was the last person sent home, and Angela Murray had become the Week 4 Head of Household.

Here’s a recap of AI Hoh Angela taking over. The real Angela was hilarious as she tried to convince people it wasn’t her.

The Big Brother producers aren’t done with Ainsley. She is ready to introduce more havoc to the houseguests.

A special edition of Big Brother

Ainsley narrated as the August 13 episode began. She introduced three former winners to get things started: Jag Bains from BB25, Taylor Hale from BB24, and Cody Calafiore from...

The Vampire Diaries: Klaus Hybrid Curse Explained (& How It's Broken)
Image
Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) hybrid curse, eventually broken during the series, plays a central role in the events of The Vampire Diaries. Klaus is a member of the Original family. In the Middle Ages, when werewolves begin terrorizing the village the Mikaelsons live in, Klaus's mother Esther Mikaelson (Natalie Dreyfuss)—a witch—casts a dark magic spell that turns Klaus and his siblings into the first vampires. Unlike the rest of his family, Klaus is also placed under a second spell called the hybrid curse. This curse drives his character arc throughout The Vampire Diaries and The Originals.

In The Vampire Diaries, season 2, episode 8, "Rose," Klaus is first introduced as a villain of the series. Klaus is determined to break his hybrid curse at any cost, harming his family and others in the process. Breaking the hybrid curse requires a human doppelgänger. When doppelgänger Katherine Pierce (Nina Dobrev) ruins his...

American Idol: Was Season 11′s Top 10 the Strongest Ever? Take Our Poll!
Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan in American Idol (2002)
There’s this weird part of the week — from Friday morning till Monday evening — when not a single major TV network airs a reality singing competition. It’s terrible, I know, but it also gives me a lot of time to ponder American Idol history. (Everyone does this in their free time, yes?) And my latest flight of Idol fancy got me mulling this question: Was Season 11′s Top 10 the strongest — top to bottom — in show history? Let’s examine:

For starters, I’d automatically rule out the five seasons with three or more Top 10 contestants who probably wouldn’t have outlasted Season 11′s No.

American Idol Top 10 Results Recap: Nobody Wins From This Misery
Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan in American Idol (2002)
Shed no tears for the 10th-place finisher on Season 11 of American Idol. (Well, unless you feel sorry for said contestant having had to endure the up-close sight of Randy Jackson’s sequined creepyface/Golliwogg/Tubby Toast pin during Wednesday’s performance show.)

But in all seriousness, this season, it seems there’s a little less sting following in the footsteps of such Idol footnotes as Julia Demato, Jessica Sierra, Lisa Tucker, Chris Sligh, and Chikezie — at least when you consider how incredibly deep and evenly matched this season’s Top 10 truly is.

What’s more, the evicted singer got one...

‘Vampire Diaries’ Recap: Klaus’ Sacrifices Ends With The Death Of [Spoiler]. Do You Think Damon Is Next?
Stop reading if you have yet to see this week’s episode, cause I’m about to blow up its spot like no other.

I don’t even have words to explain how much I loved the May 5 episode of The Vampire Diaries, but I’ll try. Between the arrival of Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) sacrifice, the death of no-longer-ignorant Aunt Jenna (Sara Canning), and Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) whole will-she-or-won’t-she vampire shenanigans, this episode was almost too much to handle at times. Like, I had to leave at least one lamp on in the room, whereas I normally watch like a scared little girl in the dark. Add to that Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) gradual death from the wolf-bite and this episode totally could have been the season finale’s doppelganger.

All right, let’s start by getting all that messy plot out of the way:

Part one of...

‘Vampire Diaries’ Scoop: Expect ‘Intense’ Witch-On-Witch Action Tomorrow Night
Bonnie finally finds a worthy adversary in Klaus’ right-hand witch, Greta.

You already know the May 5 episode of The Vampire Diaries is going to be mind-blowing, but it sounds like even the most savvy of fans won’t see the many twists coming. ”It’s pretty much just going to be surprise after surprise the whole way through,” Lisa Tucker, who plays Klaus’ witch Greta, tells HollywoodLife.com. And we’re finally going to see Luka’s long-lost sister show off those powers we’ve heard so much about.

Executive Producer Julie Plec recently told reporters that Kat Graham would be at her “most bad-ass fierce” on tomorrow night’s episode, which meant only one thing in my mind: a witch-on-witch smackdown! And while Lisa won’t totally give up the goods, she does admit: ”We have a confrontation. … And it’s very intense.”

And considering what Lisa told me...

'The Vampire Diaries' recap: Oh brother, it's Klaus!
I'd like to begin this week's post by saying that while this is a recap, it is also a review, so it contains my opinions. If you are allergic to opinions, you should probably read someone else's recap.

So, in short, my opinion of last night's episode of "The Vampire Diaries" is: Yay!!!

"Klaus" didn't have a ton of action - no one got staked or first-kissed or kidnapped - but it did have a lot of information, and at this point in the season, that's what I really needed. There were a few plot holes nagging at me, and this week's episode plugged them all up nicely.

Are you ready? Set. Go.

Previously on "The Vampire Diaries": Elena was in danger, the sun and the moon curse was confusing, and... apparently AlariKlaus said some stuff that we never actually heard him say? I... okay.

8:01 - Okay, so...

Greta arrives in town this week — but is she an enemy or an ally? Actress Lisa Tucker tells us what to expect from Greta!

We haven’t heard her name in a few weeks, but Luka’s (Bryton James) Klaus-napped sister Greta is about to make her presence known on The Vampire Diaries. Actress Lisa Tucker makes her Mystic Falls debut on the April 21 episode, titled “Klaus,” and she tells HollywoodLife.com that “Greta isn’t too pleased when she discovers her father and brother both died at the hands of Mystic Falls vampires.” In other words, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) better watch their backs!

“Greta is not someone you want to mess with,” Lisa tells us, though she won’t say whether or not Greta presents herself as a friend or foe to the Salvatore brothers. “A lot of the witches on the show follow tradition very closely,...

The Vampire Diaries: Former American Idol Contestant Heading to Mystic Falls
Father-son warlocks Jonas and Luka Martin may have "departed" Mystic Falls, but fans of "The Vampire Diaries" are about to meet another member of the family as casting news has come in for Greta Martin, who we already know is in the company of Klaus and heading to Mystic Falls.

Per ZAP2it Greta will be played by Lisa Tucker, whom "American Idol" fans may recognize from Season 5. The now 21-year-old singer/actress was only 16 at the time she auditioned, and she made it all the way through to the Top 10.

Greta is described as "cool, hip, smart," and "a bit of a thrill-seeker." Witches are going to play a huge part in the sacrifice and the Salvatores' quest to kill Klaus (Joseph Morgan), especially now that Jonas, with his dying breath, gave Bonnie (Katerina Graham) the tools to make the kill.

Tucker will definitely appear in at least two...

As "The Vampire Diaries" speeds toward the inevitably epic finale, we're all anticipating the arrival of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) in Mystic Falls... but he won't be coming alone. By his side is Greta Martin, who isn't likely to be too pleased when she discovers that her father and brother both died at the hands of Mystic Falls vampires.

Zap2it has officially confirmed that Greta will be played by Lisa Tucker, who "American Idol" fans may recognize from Season 5. The now 21-year-old singer/actress was only 16 at the time when she sang "One Moment In Time" for her audition, and got through to the Top 10.

You may also recognize her from her guest appearance on "The O.C.'s" prom episode, in which the Orange County native played herself. Taylor Townsend was a big fan.

American Idol Recap: Those 24 About to Rock, We Salute You!
Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood, and Luke Bryan in American Idol (2002)
What Thursday night’s American Idol telecast lacked in suspense, it more than made up for in terms of surprise.

Ryan Seacrest pulled a Gwyneth Paltrow and went all Country Strong on us, but not before getting lifted like a set of Jersey Shore dumbbells by male and female contestants alike. Rachel Zevita opened up a commanding lead in the Season 10 Millinery Race. A pissed-off rocker chick took home the prize for Most Endearing Contestant (I kid you not!) by candidly flipping off the Idol cameras. And Sam Cooke’s classic civil-rights anthem “A Change Is Gonna Come” underwent radical...

'American Idol' Season 5: Taylor Hicks vs. Katharine McPhee
The Season 10 premiere of "American Idol" is less than a week away and to make the days go by a bit faster, Zap2it decided to take a stroll down memory lane and re-evaluate the previous nine seasons.

Each day leading up to the premiere on Wednesday, Jan. 19, we will post a retrospective on each season. We're breaking it down into four categories: Best Performance, Worst Performance, Most Underrated Idol and most Overrated Idol. At the end, we will decide how the season stacks up against the rest, rating it as great, good, or not-so-good.

We've looked back at Season 1 (yay Kelly!), Season 2 (aww, Clay and Ruben!), the black hole that was Season 3 and one of our favorite Top 2 in Season 4. Now let's get our Soul Patrol on.

Season 5 contestants in order of elimination:

Melissa McGhee

Kevin Covais

Lisa Tucker

Mandisa

Bucky Covington

Ace Young

'American Idol' Reveals Final Top 24 Contestants
Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, Janell Wheeler, John Park and other early front-runners make the cut.

By Katie Byrne

Janell Wheeler on "American Idol" Wednesday

In an "American Idol" first, seven contenders for the season-nine top 24 were revealed during Tuesday's show. On Wednesday (February 17), the 17 remaining semifinalists were unveiled. Now, you can reacquaint yourself with those singers before next week's live shows kick off:

Andrew Garcia

While Garcia's story about his parents' gangbanger past and trying to make a better life for his kid earned him some audition-round screen time, his Hollywood Week performances are what set him apart from the pack. His acoustic reworkings of female-fronted songs — Paula Abdul's "Straight Up" and Adele's "Chasing Pavements" — earned him a ride to the top 24.

Katie Stevens

The precocious 16-year-old caught our attention with her old-soul vocal chops and compelling backstory. She backed up the positive first impression with Stevie Wonder...

'American Idol' Recap: Ellen DeGeneres Saves Hollywood
Tuesday night (February 9) kicked off Hollywood Week(s) on "American Idol," an always-magical time when the dead weight from the early audition episodes gets kicked to the curb faster than you can say "SkiiBoSki."

This season's first Hollywood Week (or Hollyweek) episode was especially epic because it introduced us to an eye-opening new element on the judge's panel that will change the way I view the show forever: The Coke cups were replaced with Vitamin Water Zero bottles. I know! What happened to our show, you guys?

Oh, and I suppose Ellen DeGeneres made her "Idol" judging debut, too.

Yep, Ellen is now officially part of our big, dysfunctional "Idol" family. And although I initially thought she was a terrible choice (based on her spotlight-hogging star power, her conflict of interest and one astoundingly painful guest judge appearance on "So You Think You Can Dance"), I can now say that...

Christensen, Cross journey to CBS' 'Hell'
Erika Christensen and David Cross have been tapped to co-star in CBS' comedy pilot I'm in Hell. Meanwhile, former American Idol finalist Lisa Tucker has been cast in the Fox drama pilot Born in the USA and Janina Gavankar has been added to the CW comedy pilot Dash 4 Cash.

I'm in Hell, from CBS Paramount Network TV, centers on a highflying Wall Street player (Jason Biggs) who dies in a BlackBerry-related car crash, but because hell is at full capacity, he is reassigned to Hell on Earth and must figure out a way to get by without his career and all the trappings of his former existence.

Christensen will play a nanny and love interest for Biggs' character who also is in the Hell on Earth program. Christensen, who co-stars on ABC's Six Degrees, next appears in Gardener of Eden, directed by Kevin Connolly and produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, which is slated to premiere this month at the Tribeca Film Festival. She is repped by UTA and the Collective.
