Pete Davidson recently revealed the origins of his memorable Chad character from his time on Saturday Night Live.
Characterized by his “Ok” catchphrase, Davidson’s Chad first appeared in a 2016 “Pool Boy” sketch with host and SNL alum Julia Louis-Dreyfus and appeared in sketches with Jennifer Lopez, Adele, Benedict Cumberbatch, John Mulaney and RuPaul. And Chad returned, alongside fellow SNL alum Laraine Newman, in the SNL50 anniversary special, which has been nominated for 12 Emmys.
Appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers Wednesday night, Davidson explained how the recurring character came to be.
“I don’t know if you know the origin of Chad, but it was a joke on me,” Davidson said. “‘Cause that’s how, if anybody ever gave me notes on set, I’d be like, ‘Ok, cool!'”
“[Mikey Day and writer Streeter Seidell] brought it to the table, and I was like, ‘I don’t get this.

The project that changed Julia Whelan’s life was a huge success and one of her biggest frustrations all at the same time: Gillian Flynn’s 2012 crime novel Gone Girl.

It took 46 years, 14 albums, five Grammy Awards, well over 1,000 live renditions of “Fat,” and way too many Hawaiian shirts to even contemplate counting, but “Weird Al” Yankovic finally took the stage at Madison Square Garden on Saturday evening as part of his biggest tour ever. It was an overwhelming moment for the song-parody icon who spent the vast majority of his career playing venues roughly a quarter the size of the famed New York City arena, and he took a break from the carefully choreographed show after just a few songs to soak it in.

Jeopardy! clues can often be tricky, but it doesn’t help matters when the phrasing of a question confuses viewers. On Monday’s (July 7) episode, contestants Ashley Caval Curto, Vince Carter, and reigning champion Scott Riccardi were faced with a Final Jeopardy! clue that had some viewers at home scratching their heads. The clue read: “The last 2 Best Song Oscar winners whose titles were the same name as the movie they were in had this man in the leading role.” Both Riccardi and Carter answered correctly with “Who is Daniel Craig?” while Curto responded with the incorrect, “Who is Timothée Chalamet?” The clue referred to the songs “No Time to Die” and “Skyfall”—both Oscar-winning tracks that share their titles with the James Bond films for which they were written. “No Time to Die” was performed by Billie Eilish, while “Skyfall” was sung by Adele. However, the clue was looking...

When Miley Cyrus Surprised Katy Perry Mid-Concert (Photo Credit – Instagram)
In 2014, a moment between Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus became so iconic that it still gets talked about. Can you guess which one I’m referring to? Well, it’s the time when Perry received a girl-on-girl kiss from Hannah Montana fame at a mid-concert among hundreds of people. Miley and Katy have always shared a very close bond, but that bond would give the Roar singer some tongue activity from Cyrus that she had never thought of.
The moment went viral on social media platforms, making netizens go crazy with suspicions and assumptions about the girl pop stars’ relationship. While Cyrus has always been open about her sexuality, it was never a doubt that she likes women as well. But when it comes to Perry, she has always been seen with men, so that Kiss was not something she expected.

From Cardi B to Dua Lipa, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon has become a launchpad for music’s next big stars — and that’s no accident.
“We really pride ourselves on discovery, and that’s something that Jimmy loves as well,” says the show’s music producer, Julie Gurovitsch.
Music has always played a pivotal role on The Tonight Show, but under Fallon’s tenure, the series has evolved into a showcase that balances global superstars with rising talent. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the pop singer opened up about the possibility of implementing a phone-locking policy at her shows — a practice already embraced by Madonna, Adele, Paul McCartney, and others. While she’s warming up to the idea, she’s aware it could spark backlash. “This will honestly piss off my fans,” Carpenter admitted.

She cited a positive experience seeing Silk Sonic as the basis of her argument. “I went to see Silk Sonic in Vegas, and they locked my phone. I’ve never had a better experience at a concert,” she noted. “I genuinely felt like I was back in the ’70s — wasn’t alive. Genuinely felt like I was there.

Jeremy Allen White is Bruce Springsteen in the first trailer for Deliver Me From Nowhere. The trailer journeys into Springsteen's past and the early days of his burgeoning fame, as he prepares to record the album that will not just be another hit, but will serve as his deeply personal statement on life itself. The film, which depicts the recording of Springsteen's classic album Nebraska in 1982, will hit the big screen on October 24, 2025.
In the trailer, Springsteen is already a rock star on the rise, recognized even by car dealers...even if he doesn't yet recognize himself. But he wants something more than the adulation of the arena crowd we see rocking out to "Born to Run." He sets out to work on an album that won't be a fist-pumping rocker, but something personal and Spartan: Nebraska, a stripped-down album about American literature and crime that would establish Springsteen not just as a hitmaker,...

Adele and Rich Paul are stepping out for the evening.
The engaged couple made a quick dash out to their ride after grabbing dinner with a group of friends at Stella restaurant on Saturday (June 7) in Los Angeles.
For their outing, the 37-year-old “Rolling in the Deep” singer wore an all black outfit while the 44-year-old sports agent wore a gray outfit, black T-shirt, and a black baseball hat.
Adele has been laying low and out of the spotlight while on an indefinite break from music following the conclusion of her Las Vegas residency late last year. The last time we have photos of her out in public was in February at a Lakers game with Rich.
If you were unaware, Adele and Rich have been romantically linked since 2021. After months of speculation, Adele finally confirmed in August of last year that she and Rich are engaged.

Lauren Miller Rogen was 22 years old, celebrating her graduation from college the first time she noticed something was happening to her mother, Adele. It was relatively minor: “She repeated herself — she told a story a few times about a friend of hers,” Rogen says. But for Rogen, who had watched Adele care for her own parents as they slowly succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease, it was the potential future that unnerved her.

10 Great Female Character Actors Who Elevate Performance Art: In the endless sea of performance art, there are those who craft their characterisations with zeal, expressionistic accuracy inculcating the most intimate and often grandest gestures in vital arcs while also plumbing the sheer, unadorned interiority of the emotional journey that defines lives. But these female actors are secure in the vitality of their craft and come with individual self-definition to boot, with their characters.

She beat out fellow nominees, which included Prime Video’s Evolution of the Black Quarterback, HBO Max’s The Lionheart, ESPN+’s Noche UFC: For Mexico, For All Time and Netflix’s The Turnaround to secure the win. The Sports Emmys are administered by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
Her Super Bowl Lix pregame performance was a surprise to viewers as it wasn’t announced ahead of time. During her rendition of “Hold My Hand,” Lady Gaga was joined by police officers, members of the U.S. military and more to pay tribute to the New Year’s Eve attack in New Orleans.
