3 Body Problem, Netflix’s epic sci-fi show based on the Remembrance of Earth's Past book series by Liu Cixin, is gearing up for its highly anticipated second season. The twisty series was created by Game of Thrones showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff—along with Alexander Woo—in their first genre project together since their HBO smash hit. Needless to say, the pressure was certainly on to make this adaptation great.

Fortunately, the first season, released in March 2024, received generally positive reviews from critics and general audiences alike, and here at Winter is Coming, we very much enjoyed it. Now, Netflix has confirmed that production on season 2 has begun—but that’s not all.

Game of Thrones season 2 was more like another season 1, with a huge amount of major new characters and locations introduced. House of the Dragon's story will be faster-paced, and remain focused on the characters from season 1.

House of the Dragon season 2 wont be following the same formula as Game of Thrones season 2, and it makes me more excited about the prequels sophomore outing. The spinoff had some broad similarities in season 1, with a lot of table dressing in service of the wars to come, and a major twist towards the end of the season. House of the Dragon season 1s ending wasnt quite Ned Stark gets beheaded levels of shocking, but Aemond Targaryen and Vhagar killing Lucerys Velaryon was brutal nonetheless.

Production is underway on the second series of Funny Woman, the Sky comedy drama based on the 2014 novel by Nick Hornby.

Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name by Mae-mi and Hee-se, the dark comedy series follows Kim Mo-mi, an office worker who is insecure about her looks. She starts to become famous as a masked internet personality until some of the whackiest and most chilling events happen in her life. Doctor Who audio drama actor Rufus Hound rather creatively expresses his interest in reprising his role of the classic series villain The Meddling Monk. The character was the first Time Lord other than the Doctor to appear in the series, crossing paths with William Hartnell's First Doctor in 1965's "The Time Meddler." Game of Thrones actor Ciarán Hinds admits that he was "put off" by the show's gratuitous sex scenes. Based on the acclaimed fantasy novels by author George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones ran for 8 seasons on HBO from 2011 to 2019. Hinds joined the show as Mance Rayder, aka the Wildling King Beyond the Wall, in season 3, playing the role until season 5.

In a recent interview with The Independent following his casting in The Rings of Power season 2, Hinds recalls that he was initially hesitant to join Game of Thrones because of its excessive sexuality. Distributor Hat Trick International (Hti) has closed multiple international sales on ITV series “Di Ray,” from “Line of Duty” creator Jed Mercurio’s Htm Television.

Both seasons of the crime drama, created and written by former “Line of Duty” actor Maya Sondhi, have been acquired by PBS Distribution in a multi-rights deal that will see it broadcast across PBS’s 330+ member stations in the U.S. and streaming on PBS Passport, the PBS Video app and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel. Although the bar set by Game of Thrones was incredibly low to begin with, House of the Dragon somehow barely manages to do better than its predecessor week to week in regards to how its female characters are treated on screen. Between the gruesome death of Aemma Arryn (Sian Brooke) in the series premiere, the willingness of the Velaryons to marry their twelve year old daughter Laena (Nova Fouellis-Mosé) off to the King for political power, and Daemon Targaryen’s (Matt Smith) creepy and predatory behavior toward his niece Rhaenyra (Milly Alcock), House of the Dragon still finds ways to undercut showrunner Miguel Sapochnik’s claims that the series is a more feminist take on Westeros.

“House of the Dragon,” the highly anticipated spinoff to HBO’s wildly popular “Game of Thrones,” already has people wondering if the series will match the original in terms of scope and quality. On one ground, however, “House of the Dragon” has it covered: According to star Matt Smith, the show matches the original’s penchant for nudity and explicit scenes, which he questioned as being gratuitous.

“You do find yourself asking, ‘Do we need another sex scene?’” Smith said in a recent interview with Rolling Stone. “And they’re like, ‘Yeah, we do.’ I guess you have to ask yourself: ‘What are you doing? Are you representing the books, or are you diluting the books to represent the time [we’re living in]?’ And I actually think it’s your job to represent the books truthfully and honestly, as they were written.”

The first ever “Game of Thrones” official fan convention will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from Dec. 9-11 and feature fan-favorite stars, engaging panel discussions and exclusive merchandise as well as cosplay and trivia competitions.

Kit Harington is now joining the previously announced “Game of Thrones” stars, including Alfie Allen (Theon Greyjoy), Jack Gleeson (Joffrey Baratheon), Kristofer Hivju (Tormund Giantsbane), Kristian Nairn (Hodor), Daniel Portman (Podrick Payne), Gemma Whelan (Yara Greyjoy) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (Bran Stark). The King in the North has signed on to the official Game of Thrones fan convention.

Kit Harington has joined the lineup for the event, which is also announcing a new location and date.

The convention was originally supposed to make its debut in Las Vegas last February. It’s now being re-launched for December (9-11) in Los Angeles.

The Jon Snow actor will be joining previously announced Thrones cast members Alfie Allen(“Theon Greyjoy”), Jack Gleeson (“Joffrey Baratheon”), Kristofer Hivju (“Tormund Giantsbane”), Kristian Nairn (“Hodor”), Daniel Portman (“Podrick Payne”), Gemma Whelan (“Yara Greyjoy”) and Isaac Hempstead Wright (“Bran Stark”).
