Kane Hodder to kill again in Old 37
Big Picture Media has officially released a promo art for their upcoming slasher film starring Kane Hodder. The film is in pre-production for director Christian Winters.

The film is about two brothers posing as paramedics, who intercept 911 calls in a retired old ambulance. Fast paced and blood soaked, ‘Old 37′ taps into the most basic human fear: vulnerability. The words ‘don’t worry, I’m a paramedic’ will make you think twice before dialing 9-1-1.

Here’s the press release:

Kane Hodder to Become a Practitioner of Malpractice as Pre-Production of Old 37 Begins
There's not much information available for Old 37 yet, but what I've seen so far looks very intriguing. We know Kane Hodder will bring his wealth of horror experience to play one of the film's killers, and Brandi Cyrus (that's Miley's big sis) will also appear in the film.

To sum up what we currently know about the story, the film is about a couple of derelict psycho brothers who spend their time eavesdropping on emergency calls and responding in their father's retired ambulance (which I can only assume is #37) to dole out their own kind of down-home, backwoods medicine. I think we can safely surmise that bad things and the red, red kroovy follow soon after.

The official Old 37 website, which is very eerie in its own right, features some additional information and cool storyboards to give you a feel for the film. Up to the minute...

Hobo With A Shotgun – Review
In 2007, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez decided to bring back the 1970′s with their homage to the glory days of cinema with their double feature, Grindhouse. It feature a movie directed by each man, Planet Terror directed by Rodriguez and Death Proof directed by Tarantino, with fake trailers before and between each movie. It didn’t do as well as some would have wanted at the box office, but it kick started a fad that was long overdue. Since then we’ve had an abundance amount of grindhouse type movies both in the theater and direct to DVD, culminating with Rodriguez’ hit Machete, which was one of the fake trailers seen before Planet Terror. There has been much talk about each of the other faux trailers being made into full length movies, but it was one that was made by a fan that became the next film. Tarantino and Rodriguez...

The music for Hobo With A Shotgun was created by not one, but three, composers (Russ Howard III, Darius Holbert, and Adam Burke) who vary in style and background, but came together to score the tale of a Hobo (Rutger Hauer) turned vigilante as he comes upon a town ruled by violence.

Sundance 2011 Interview: Hobo With A Shotgun composer Russ Howard III
After the screenings of Hobo With A Shotgun that took place during this year’s Sundance Film Festival (read our review), I heard many reactions ranging from “awesome” to “badass” to simply “Hobos!,” but when GATWer Brian Kelley came back from the screening, he was raving about the music.
