The fourth season of The Witcher is supposed to arrive at some point this year, but as we inch past the half-way mark it's beginning to feel like that is becoming less and less of a possibility. Thus far, Netflix hasn't shared so much as a single teaser for the next season even though fans are eager to find out more, especially since it will see Liam Hemsworth stepping into Henry Cavill's shoes as the fabled monster hunter Geralt of Rivia.

As Pokmon Horizons has continued to march onward, an interesting theme has emerged in the series, and it's one that never would've worked in Ash's era. That theme is one of family, a subject which never really received all that much attention in the previous series.

In the original anime starring Ash Ketchum, the subject of family almost never comes up; Ash's dad is still unknown even after 1200+ episodes, and his mother only rarely played a role in storylines, and even then was mostly there to cheer on Ash. Ash would place phone calls to Professor Oak far more often than to his own mother, and he had no other family to speak of. It's somewhat understandable, as the dream of endless adventure that the show represents doesn't mix too well with the concept of family.

Pokmon Horizons finally saw Liko, Roy, and Dot arriving at Montenevera in order for Roy to take on his Terastal Implementation test. Dot had not only managed to pass hers, but the battle also saw her Quaxly evolve into Quaxwell, showing Dot's significant growth over the course of this training.

Roy went into his exam with Gym Leader Ryme hoping it would go much the same way, but his first Pokmon, Kilowattrel, went down rapidly. Fuecoco was able to hold his own against Ryme's Houndstone, but when she sent out a Toxtricity, Fuecoco found himself almost completely helpless, unable to land any attacks in the face of Toxtricity's booming sound.

When we think about popular animated series inspired by video games, there are plenty, but only a few do actual justice to the storyline. This can be said for the Castlevania franchise, the dark fantasy animated series that premiered in 2017 and turned out to be a massive hit.

After years of vampire wars and plots for world domination, the many sides fighting to decide the fate of the planet finally reach the endgame. Netflix is ending its animated series “Castlevania” after four seasons, but may not be done with the universe.

The streaming service is eyeing a new series that would be set within the same world and feature new characters, an individual with knowledge of the production told TheWrap.

The fourth and final season of “Castlevania” will premiere on May 13. It will consist of 10 episodes.

“Castlevania,” based on a Konami video game, premiered in July 2017 and was Netflix’s first anime series. Sam Deats is director. Warren Ellis is creator and writer and serves as executive producer along with Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar. It is produced by Frederator Studios, a Wow! Unlimited Media company.

The “Castlevania” series at Netflix will end with its upcoming Season 4, Variety has confirmed.

Season 4 of the anime series will debut on May 13 and will consist of 10 episodes. According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Netflix is looking at possibly developing a new show set in the “Castlevania” universe that would feature a new set of characters.

Inspired by the classic Konami video game series of the same name, “Castlevania” is a dark medieval fantasy following the last surviving member of the disgraced Belmont clan, trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction at the hand of Vlad Dracula Tepes himself.

The voice cast includes Richard Armitage, James Callis, Alejandra Reynoso, Theo James, Adetokumboh M’Cormack, and Jaime Murray. Warren Ellis created the series and serves as executive producer along with Kevin Kolde, Fred Seibert and Adi Shankar. Sam Deats serves as director.

Castlevania was a key series in the evolution of Netflix’s original programming. It launched in July 2017 as the streamer’s first original anime series and the second adult animated comedy after F Is For Family. It quickly developed a devoted following and was well received by critics. The show’s second season scored a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and landed an IGN Award for Best Animated TV Series in 2018.

Netflix renewed Castlevania pretty swiftly following its season 3 debut, and now creator Warren Ellis has taken to his personal website to give us a peek behind the curtain at that decision-making process. Turns out, Castlevania didn’t just coast through an increasingly dog-eat-dog streaming landscape after season 3 landed on the service back in March – it absolutely smashed its doors in.

“So, we had our Netflix call about the 28-day data on Castlevania Season 3 last week,” Ellis wrote. “Because Netflix data is protected, I can’t actually tell you all the exact numbers. What I can say is that season 3’s popularity was an order of magnitude over that of season 2, and season 2 was popular enough to get us season 3. It turns out season 3 did, really, shockingly well. Shows tend to show a little attrition in the third season, and it was, quote, “unusual” to see the audience actually rise by a multiple factor.

Netflix’s Castlevania took a major gamble in its second season by killing off its main villain. But as the third season of the video game-based animated series proves, the death of Dracula is only the beginning of the vampire story expertly crafted by writer Warren Ellis, director Sam Deats, and showrunner Kevin Kolde. In fact, now unshackled from the Lord of Darkness and his monster-filled castle, Castlevania season 3 is able to explore quite a few new and interesting directions that flesh out this world like never before.

From the first episode, Castlevania season 3 feels like a completely new show, one less resembling the horror adventure of the first two seasons and more the political intrigue and war games of a prestige series like Game of Thrones. In essence, the fallen Dark Lord has left behind a power vacuum in Wallachia and the struggle that ensues takes up much of season 3’s 10-episode run.

Castlevania season 3 looks like the bloodiest season yet in the first trailer for the vampire-hunting series.

There was never any doubt that Castlevania would return for a third season on Netflix. After all, not only has it turned out to be a successful series for the streaming service but it's one of the best (if not The best) adaptations of a video game franchise to date. And, if the official trailer is any indication, Castlevania season 3 is set to be the best season of the show yet.

The third season picks up where season 2 left off. With Dracula defeated, his manipulative general Carmilla now controls the forces of evil and is free to continue the reign of terror in Wallachia. Carmilla has enslaved the powerful forge master Hector, forcing him to create more monstrosities for her army to do her bidding.

If a now-deleted tweet from Netflix Nordic is any indication, the third installment of Castlevania will be on our screens as soon as next week.

Earlier today, the online streaming giant released a graphic detailing all of the many TV shows and movies headed to Netflix over the next four weeks, one of which was Castlevania season 3. Its official air date? December 1st, 2019, though the Powers That Be quickly pulled said tweet, casting doubt over the show’s Eta. The medieval fantasy, based on the classic video game, is written by comic scribe Warren Ellis, and follows one of the last surviving members of a clan of vampire-fighters, who is trying to save Eastern Europe from extinction. The animated series, based on the classic video game franchise, launched Oct. 26, marking a faster-than-usual pickup for a Netflix series. The company typically waits a few weeks before making a decision on a show.

In 2017, writer Warren Ellis, director Sam Deats, and producer Adi Shankar accomplished the impossible. Like a lone Belmont entering Dracula's castle armed with nothing but a whip, this team set out on a mission many thought would end in failure: to create a worthy video game adaptation that celebrated the source material while also taking it seriously. Netflix has officially renewed its Castlevania animated series for a third season. Season 3 will be the show's longest yet, with 10 episodes of vampire-killing action (and maybe a little more Emo Dracula).

Castlevania has turned out to be the shining light of video game adaptations. While the history of bad video game movies and TV shows is long and regrettable, Castlevania proved that it can be done. You can successfully (and faithfully) adapt a video game into another medium without sacrificing what made the story and the characters in the first place.
