The wheelchair-bound mobster still seems to have her arms and legs, so the Daredevil: Born Again follow-up likely isn't heading down quite as twisted a route as what we saw on the page (at least not at this point in the story).

This character is easily identifiable as Ma Gnucci from her hair, but the crazy thing about this is that we still don't know who's playing her! Marvel Studios must have cast a relatively big name in the role, though neither the trades nor scoopers have deduced her identity.

The Cleaning Lady currently sits in the No. 9 spot in HBO’s Top 10 TV shows as of June 15. The series concluded its fourth season on June 3, and just days later, Fox revealed it would not be getting a fifth.

Fox has determined the fate of two bubble shows, canceling dramas Alert: Missing Persons Unit after three seasons and The Cleaning Lady after four.

The network had delayed final decisions on its remaining bubble series until after their current seasons had aired. Alert wrapped its Season 3 run on May 27, and The Cleaning Lady‘s fourth season ended on June 3.

The cancellations do not come as a surprise as Alert, The Cleaning Lady as well as the other two Fox scripted series not picked up for next season, Accused and The Great North, sit at the bottom of the network’s 2024-25 season rankings.

Animated comedy The Great North also is expected to be canceled once its current fifth season ends later this month.

Following the epic Daredevil: Born Again Season 1 finale, fans have been speculating which other Marvel superheroes might join the series for the upcoming Season 2. It seems safe to assume that Spider-Man won't appear, despite many expecting to see The Defenders return. However, one name that fans might not have thought of is Elektra. Introduced in Daredevil Season 2 and played by Élodie Yung, Elektra was introduced as a former lover of Matt Murdock and a now-assassin who would later become the primary villain of The Defenders, where she was last seen, believed to be dead. Yet nobody stays dead in the Marvel Universe for long.

As Thony De La Rosi’s (Élodie Yung) precarious journey continues on Tuesday, March 25, the show’s new showrunner, Daniel Cerone, has teased a couple of things in store for the resilient character, who now has a new job and a new position in Jorge’s (Santiago Cabrera) cartel.

During an interview with TV Insider, Cerone noted that Thony “is no longer a counterpuncher scrambling to survive” and is “sick of being exploited by both sides of the law.” Plus, in The Cleaning Lady’s new installment, the formerly successful surgeon who was forced to become a snitch by the FBI is now “taking control of her life,” especially since she knows where all “the bodies are buried.”

Élodie Yung played Elektra Natchios in Netflix’s Daredevil in the second season and later reprised the role in The Defenders. Yung’s Elektra appeared as the former lover of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock in the series and fans took quite a liking to her. Unlike Jennifer Garner’s version of the career, Yung’s character tapped more into the antagonistic side of Elektra.

Yung earlier expressed interest in reprising her role in Daredevil: Born Again. The last fans saw Elektra in the Netflix version was when she was buried under the ruins of Midland Circle alongside Matt. While Matt survived and got out of the ruins, Elektra’s body was never found.

Could the return of Daredevil lead to a revival of The Defenders? Marvel and Disney seem to think so!

Fans of Disney+ and Marvel are eagerly awaiting the debut of Daredevil: Born Again. The new Disney+ series is a sequel to the Netflix show with Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer whose special abilities allow him to be the costumed crime fighter Daredevil.

The show brings back the rest of the cast, notably Vincent D'onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka the Kingpin. It will also have Jon Bernthal reprise his role as Frank Castle, better known as the brutal vigilante the Punisher, who he played in a Netflix spinoff. 

With fans happy to see Daredevil back, there's a question if the other Marvel Netflix series could return. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Marvel's head of streaming, television, and animation, Brad Winderbaum, confirmed, "We are very much exploring" that possibility.

Daredevil: Born Again is set to premiere in less than a month, and fans are already buzzing with excitement. The series will see the return of familiar faces, including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen.

One of the most highly anticipated comebacks is Jon Bernthal’s Punisher. His return has been confirmed through interviews and set leaks, with behind-the-scenes footage showing him fighting alongside Daredevil in several action-packed scenes.

The showrunners admitted that his storyline remained even after the show underwent creative changes. Showrunner Dario Scardapane, who previously worked on The Punisher series, shared that working with Bernthal is always intense and rewarding.

Despite rumors that Elodie Yung, who played Elektra in the Netflix show, might be set to make a surprise appearance in Daredevil: Born Again, it sounds like Marvel might be planning to introduce a new take on the lethal assassin for the second season of the upcoming revival series.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, the studio is currently "casting for a recurring role — a female character in her 40s of Greek descent, with a one-year contract."

This could be a different character, of course, but we'd say there's a pretty good chance we'll be meeting a new Elektra Nachios during season 2 of Born Again.

As a first-time feature filmmaker, writing and directing is enough to put on your plate, but with “Bunnylovr,” actress Katarina Zhu knew the whole impetus for creating the project was to craft the kind of character she was dying to play. Speaking with IndieWire’s Ryan Lattanzio at Sundance’s IndieWire Studio, presented by DropBox, Zhu was joined by her cast, which includes her friend and peer from NYU and Stella Adler Studio, Rachel Sennott.
