Ann, (without an E), Hagemann, is an American Actor who believes in "telling stories that need to be told." She was born and raised in the Midwest, and while she enjoys working wherever the project takes her, she still loves her "wide open spaces!" Like many film/TV actors, she began her career in live theatre playing roles like Catherine Holly from "Suddenly Last Summer" by the great Tennessee Williams, Eva Peron in "Evita," the Narrator in "Joseph...Dreamcoat," Peter in "Peter Pan," Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady," to mention a few. She is a pianist and singer as well and has written a children's musical titled " The Little House Story" based on the books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Since returning to the industry after raising her sons, some of her on screen highlights are: Co-Starring with Emmy winning actress Sharon Gless in "Hannah Free," an independent feature film that received Best Picture at numerous US & European Film Festivals including Frameline in San Francisco. She's co-starred on Chicago Fire & Chicago Med; played opposite Jodie Sweetin,( Full House), in the Rom Com "Loves Second Act"; Played Tiffany Smith's Mom in Lifetime's "Trapped in a Cabin"; Had a hilarious time working opposite Eddie Steeples, ( My Name is Earl), in the dark comedy "Farewell Charlie"; Played the infamous serial killer Belle Guiness in "Belle" and Ann was honored to be cast in a supporting role in the feature " Overhill Manor" with John Rhys-Davies and Paris Brosnan, which will open theatrically in the US summer of 2026.
For the past few years Ann has also had a project of her own in development. "Say it in German," a period drama based on true events that occurred in the Midwest during WWII. Told from the perspective of 3 German American children who are faced with war time farming life, their beloved Daddy's TB diagnosis, and anti-German sentiment...Sarah Drew, (Grey's Anatomy/Mom's Night Out/Cruel Summer), is attached. Ann will play the children's German immigrant Oma. The screenplay has received the coveted Parents Television & Film Council of America Seal, the same distinction given to "The Blind Side" starring Sandra Bullock.
Whatever story is being told, tell it with truth...and remember, Dreams never have Deadlines...
