Biography

He is the last surviving member of the most visible line-up of Hello Sailor; Dave McArtney and Graham Brazier passed away in 2013 and 2015, respectively.

In-between a break from the band Hello Sailor, he started up another music group called Coup D'Etat with the musician-actress, Jane Preston. They had one successful single, before breaking-up in 1982.

Founding guitarist for the legendary New Zealand rock band, Hello Sailor. The band has had a number of successful singles and albums since its inception, and had occasionally reformed periodically prior to the deaths of two of its core members.

His band Coup D'Etat were the recipient of the 1981 RIANZ Single of the Year award for their song, "Dr I Like Your Medicine.".

Inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame in 2011 as a member of Hello Sailor.
