Edit

Biography

    • Marc Isaacs, a screenwriter, actor, and producer, hails from rural northern New York and resides in Buffalo. With a strong journalistic background, he has honed his skills by crafting compelling narratives that revolve around real people and true events. A dedicated member of SAG-AFTRA since 2014, Marc's acting journey began in college where he studied Speech and Theatre at St. Lawrence University and he spent a decade working in commercials, industrials, films, and TV in Texas. His primary focus has now shifted to screenwriting, and Marc is passionate about creating stories, screenplays, and pilot scripts that shed light on lesser-known historical figures and events, while also weaving his own true-life experiences into captivating narratives.

In the world of comedy, Marc has a rich portfolio, having written or co-written numerous short films. Notably, his works explore diverse themes, from the unique first-time sexual experience of a young woman with a disability in "First Timers" to the quirky tale of a self-storage employee who capitalizes on social misfits living in vacant units in "Storage Town." Before venturing into storytelling, Marc embarked on an exciting journey in television. He produced original programs and news content, served as a network news field producer, and even graced the screen as a weathercaster and traffic reporter.

A dedicated professional, Marc has also contributed significantly to the industry. He previously served as a board member for Women in Film & Television Houston, Texas, where he held the position of Vice President, becoming the first male board member in the WIFT chapter. His creative achievements include the co-creation and production of a children's educational TV series, "Houston ZooperStars Challenge," which ran for three seasons on Houston's CBS affiliate and garnered multiple Lone Star Emmy nominations.

As an adult, Marc reconnected with his First Nations heritage, enrolled as a member of the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte in Ontario, Canada, and began researching his family history. He intends to further explore his Native family stories for future projects to develop.
