The reality TV stars have been incarcerated since 2022 after being found guilty of bank and tax fraud, and President Donald Trump has officially pardoned the couple over their 2022 tax fraud and evasion convictions this week.

Image
Although there are a total of five Chrisley children biologically, Todd Chrisley and Julie Chrisley also legally adopted another child back in 2016, and Savannah Chrisley is speaking up for her! Most publications either end up skipping Chloé Chrisley altogether or accidentally end up calling her Savannah’s niece because her biological father is Kyle Chrisley who had her with his ex Angela Johnson.

Savannah Chrisley Wants People to Stop Calling Sister Chloe Her Niece: ‘It’s Infuriating’
Image
Savannah Chrisley has a unique family situation, but she wants fans to know that sister Chloe Chrisley is indeed her sister, not her niece. The reality star, formerly of Chrisley Knows Best, cleared up the confusion in a recent interview with People as she discussed her relationship to Chloe, whom their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, adopted in 2016. For those unaware, Chloe is the biological daughter of Kyle Chrisley — Todd’s son from a previous relationship and Savannah’s half-sibling, from whom the family is estranged — and Kyle’s ex Angela Johnson. Todd is also the father of Lindsie Chrisley, and he and Julie are also the parents of sons Chase and Grayson Chrisley. “My heart, honestly, breaks for Chloe because Chloe has not had an easy upbringing,” Savannah said in the interview. “Her biological parents turned their backs on her from a very young age. When my parents got custody of her,...

Savannah Chrisley says Chloe Chrisley hasn’t had ‘an easy upbringing’
Chloe Chrisley
Living in the public eye isn’t easy, and it can be even more challenging for children in the spotlight.

That’s something that Chloe Chrisley is dealing with now, and Savannah Chrisley is coming to her defense.

Savannah has stepped in to raise Chloe and Grayson Chrisley, following their parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, who are serving time in federal prison for bank fraud and tax evasion.

There has been much discussion about how Savannah and Chloe are related, which has caused the latter some heartache.

Chloe is biologically her niece, but she is legally her sister. Todd and Julie are Chloe’s parents legally, making Savannah her big sister.

Her biological parents are Kyle Chrisley and Angela Johnson, who lost the title of dad and mom when the Chrisleys adopted her in 2016.

‘Wheel of Fortune’ Fans React to Stunning Comeback Win & ‘Case of the Munchies’
Image
Wheel of Fortune brought the entertainment on Thursday night (January 16) with a hilarious wrong answer, a surprising comeback, and an incredible Bonus Round puzzle solve. The episode saw a tense showdown between Angela Johnson, a flag football linesperson from Phenix City, Alabama, Ada Vega, a crocheter from St. Cloud, Florida, and Frank Mantesana, a pro-wrestling fan from Brooklyn, New York. Johnson got off to a hot start, nailing the first puzzle of the episode to take an early lead. She then increased her winnings to $20,600 in the Express Round, where she also bagged herself a Scottish cruise. At this point, Mantesana trailed with $5,850, while Vega had yet to get on the board. The Triple Toss Up round saw all three players answer correctly, though Vega also made a hilarious incorrect guess on the last puzzle, which had the studio audience laughing. Faced with a board that read, “A / _ A S...

Todd & Julie Chrisley’s Adopted Daughter Chloe Opens Up About Family Life With Parents in Prison
Image
Chloe Chrisley has been opening up about being adopted by Todd and Julie Chrisley, calling her “adoption day” the “best day ever.” Appearing on her sister’s Savannah Chrisley‘s Unlocked podcast, Chloe spoke about her adoption, her parents, and how she’s been coping since Todd and Julie began their federal prison sentences for bank fraud and tax evasion. “You chose for your mom to be Julie and for your dad to be Todd, and why is that?” Savannah asked Chloe, per People. “Because they’re my parents,” Chloe replied, saying she had felt that way long before she was officially adopted. Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s estranged son, Kyle Chrisley, and his former partner, Angela Johnson. After Kyle’s troubled history of substance abuse and falling out with his father, Todd and Julie legally adopted Chloe in 2016. Although Savannah is technically Chloe’s aunt, the...

Kyle Chrisley Begged His Dad For Visitation Rights

When Todd Chrisley went to prison for fraud and tax-related offenses, he signed over custody of Chloe to his daughter, Savannah. Chloe was born to Angela Johnson, Kyle’s girlfriend at the time. While she fought for legal access, she never got it because Todd and Julie had adopted the child.

Kyle Chrisley recently complained that his dad won’t let him visit him in prison. And that upset him because he wanted to talk to his father about letting him see Chloe. Unfortunately, Todd refused and told...

Savannah Chrisley Disses Kyle & Critics In Appeal Update
Image
Chrisley Knows Best alum Savannah Chrisley might, in a few candid words, have explained why she won’t allow her half-brother, Kyle Chrisley to meet with Chloe, 11. Additionally, the reality TV star got snarky with critics of her mom and dad, Todd and Julie Chrisley after their oral appeal.

Savannah Chrisley Talked About Kyle, Chloe & Critics

Chloe is the biological daughter of Kyle Chrisley and Angela Johnson. At one stage, she wanted to get custody of her daughter, but as Todd and Julie Chrisley adopted Chloe, she couldn’t do anything about not co-parenting. These days, with Todd and Julie in prison for fraud and tax-related crimes, Savannah is Chloe’s legal guardian.

Kyle Chrisley Denied Access To Dad, Begs For Visitation With Chloe
Image
Chrisley Knows Best alum, Todd Chrisley won’t accept Lindsie or Kyle Chrisley since his imprisonment and maybe he blames them for his predicament. After all, there’s been plenty of talk about how both of them may have informed the authorities about his business dealings. It’s a big problem for Kyle who wants to be able to see his birth daughter, Chloe Chrisley, who is in the custody of his half-sister, Savannah.

Kyle Chrisley Wants To Have Visitation With Chloe Chrisley

Angela Johnson was the birth mom of Chloe Chrisley, but Kyle’s ex-girlfriend lost out in her efforts to see her daughter. That is because Todd and Julie legally adopted the little girl. So, even if she wanted to take care of the kid with Todd and Julie behind bars, she couldn’t. Instead, they handed custody to Savannah for both Grayson and Chloe, despite Kyle apparently...

Daniel Kaluuya
Protest Art Tunes Into Receptive Audiences Via Film and TV
Daniel Kaluuya
Genius exists in anyone skillful enough to turn a nightmare Tinder date into a political protest about Black America’s fate. “Queen & Slim” develops a world in which the unarmed black man isn’t murdered by a police officer. Instead, he, the titular Slim (Daniel Kaluuya), shoots a cop in self-defense and goes on the run with his Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith).

Art isn’t created in a vacuum. Television shows such as “Black-ish,” “Being Mary Jane” and “Atlanta” have incorporated police brutality into individual episodes, rendering conversations digestible and part of everyday black life.

Several recent films centering on black stories — “Clemency,” “Harriet” and “Just Mercy” — also address this systemic violence. These are necessary stories about African-American issues, especially in light of such movements as #WhiteLivesMatter or #NotAllCops. Rounding out the conversation with 2018’s “Of Monsters and Men” and 2019’s “Black and Blue,” a post-#BlackLivesMatter genre is emerging.

Creating...

Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith in Queen & Slim (2019)
Queen & Slim Review: A Gripping Romance Targets Police Brutality
Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith in Queen & Slim (2019)
Queen & Slim is a fascinating cinematic journey on multiple levels. Not every aspect is successful, but the different messages conveyed have significance. An easy and simplistic generalization would be to describe the film as a black Bonnie & Clyde; two lovers on the run from the law are embraced by the public. Queen & Slim is so much more. It is an unabashed love story, a cultural awakening, and an arrow to the heart of a divisive societal issue. Police brutality is explored through a black lens. Queen & Slim humanizes the problem. Its approach will be celebrated and criticized.

In Cleveland, Ohio, Ernest Hinds (Daniel Kaluuya) and Angela Johnson (Jodie Turner-Smith) meet for their first Tinder date at a diner. Sparks are not flying. Ernest is religious, upbeat, and easygoing. Angela, a hardened criminal defense attorney, his opposite in every regard. She doesn't believe in god, is highly opinionated, and...

‘Queen & Slim’ Film Review: Lovers on the Lam Saga Reflects a Racially Divided America
Daniel Kaluuya
In an era where people of color seem to be considered guilty until proven innocent, and the best outcome for them in an encounter with police is just plain surviving, “Queen & Slim” is nothing less than the radical reclaiming of a familiar narrative.

Melina Matsoukas’ feature directorial debut not only reframes a “Bonnie & Clyde”-style outlaws-on-the-run story in thrillingly contemporary, culturally relevant terms, but it also finds a way to do so that combines bracing honesty about a hostile world with lyrical beauty about the relationships that make it endurable.

Daniel Kaluuya and Jodie Turner-Smith are mesmerizing and urgently sexy as the eponymous pair, while a script by Lena Waithe (from a story by Waithe and “A Million Little Pieces” author James Frey) elegantly juxtaposes romantic fantasy, inescapable reality and the legacies — inherited and aspirational — that bond them together.

Todd Chrisley Has No Plans to Give up Custody of His Granddaughter Chloe
There's no denying Todd Chrisley's adorable granddaughter Chloe Chrisley is the best part of Chrisley Knows Best. However, viewers still don't understand why the Chrisleys are raising the four-year-old cutie— and not her parents Kyle Chrisley and Angela Johnson. In 2012, Kyle welcomed his baby girl with then girlfriend Angela, but he struggled with drug addiction stemming from mental health issues. "Kyle is bipolar and normally, people that are bipolar, they seek out a way to self-medicate, which is what Kyle has done since he’s been young,” Todd told E! News in 2014. His ex-girlfriend also confirmed Kyle's drug use and accused Kyle of abusing her during her pregnancy. A post shared by Todd Chrisley (@toddchrisley) on Dec 19, 2017 at 12:30pm Pst "He grabbed me and choked me when I was pregnant,” she told Life & Style exclusively. "There was a time when he got mad at me and came...
