As the release date of EA Sports Fc 25 is nearing, the anticipation regarding it is going higher. Whenever a new EA Fc title is around the corner, the biggest hype has always been around the ratings of the players. Previously, it was a no-brainer that Messi and Ronaldo, the footballing giants, would take the top spots.

But now times have changed, and their ratings have changed. Similarly, for goalkeepers, Germany’s Manuel Neuer and Italy’s Gianluigi Buffon made a habit of being the highest-rated final frontiers in this long-hailed soccer simulation title. A viable change is seen here as well, as another Italian this time holds the top spot. Here are the top 5 goalkeepers (in ascending order) in EA Sports Fc 25:

Speaking to Variety by Zoom from Warsaw, Polish director Jerzy Skolimowski – the director of Oscar contender “Eo” – sits on his sofa with his dog Bufon, a German Shepherd, by his side.
Bufon, or “Buffon” as Skolimowski prefers to spell his name – as a tribute to the Italian soccer player Gianluigi Buffon – is an actor, having appeared in an early scene in “Eo” as a “chained barking beast,” in Skolimowski’s words. It is the only time that Bufon has been secured by a chain. “He was very, very nervous about that,” Skolimowski says.
Skolimowski and Ewa Piaskowska – “Eo’s” co-writer, producer (alongside Skolimowski), and Skolimowski’s wife – lived for many years in California, but then they came back to Poland, and moved to a 19th century hunting lodge deep in a wild forest. “We lived away from civilization, but enjoyed the full spectacle of nature once we left the house,...

Doha (Qatar), Dec 12 (Ians) Morocco are the revelation of the Qatar World Cup, becoming the first African side ever to reach the semifinals of the World Cup thanks to performances brimming with passion and defensive intensity.
Moroccan fans have given life and colour to the stands in a tournament that has at times lacked a true football atmosphere.
The stadium announcers have tended to make the biggest noise in most of the World Cup Stadiums, but that’s not the case when Morocco play, with the wave of red shirts and flags turning the last two ties into virtual ‘home’ games for Morocco.
Morocco’s progress is maybe not as big a surprise as many are making out, given that nearly all of their team plays at the highest level of European football, but there is no doubt that coach, Walid Regragui has drilled them into a formidable defensive unit.

Madrid, May 24 (Ians) Spain captain Sergio Ramos has not been included in Luis Enrique's Euro 2020 squad named on Monday after an injury-troubled 2020-21 season.
Aymeric Laporte, who only this month switched his allegiance from France to Spain, is among the centre back options to have been preferred to the Real Madrid veteran.
Ramos was part of the national team that won three consecutive major tournaments between 2008 and 2012 and has remained a key man for his club and country ever since, breaking Italy great Gianluigi Buffon's all-time international appearances mark of 176 earlier this season, reports Dpa.
The 35-year-old has had the armband for Spain under Luis Enrique but played only 50 minutes of the March World Cup qualifiers against Greece and Kosovo before returning to Madrid injured.
Ramos was limited to 21 appearances in all competitions for Madrid this term, missing 31 matches.

Rome, May 20 (Ians) Federico Chiesa scored the decisive goal as Juventus sealed a record-extending 14th Coppa Italia title with a 2-1 win over Atalanta.
It has been a disappointing first season in charge for coach Andrea Pirlo, with the Bianconeri knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage by Porto and their hopes of qualifying for next season's competition hanging by a thread ahead of the final round of Serie A fixtures this weekend.
And they looked set for more despair when Ruslan Malinovskiy cancelled out Dejan Kulusevski's fine strike before half-time, Dpa reports.
Juve stormed back in the second half, though, and sealed victory in their 20th Coppa Italia final thanks to Chiesa's composed finish with 17 minutes remaining.
Atalanta did most of the pressing in the early stages, with Duvan Zapata and Remo Freuler both flashing efforts narrowly wide of Gianluigi Buffon's goal.

Rome, Feb 3 (Ians) Cristiano Ronaldo's double helped Juventus rally to beat Inter Milan 2-1 in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semi-finals.
With Romelu Lukaku suspended, Inter on Tuesday opted for Alexis Sanchez to partner Lautaro Martinez up front, while Juventus visited the San Siro without Paulo Dybala and Aaron Ramsey, and Gianluigi Buffon started between the sticks to mark his 1,000th professional game, reports Xinhua news agency.
Inter made a dream start through a counter-attack after just eight minutes, as Nicolo Barella burst down the right and squared for Martinez to finish with a first-time strike.
The Bianconeri got back on level terms in the 23rd minute as Juan Cuadrado was dragged down by Ashley Young. The referee awarded Juventus a penalty after viewing the Var, and Ronaldo kept his composure to convert it.

The world of football is indescribably vast; it’s hard for somebody to claim total control over it in the manner of a Michael Jordan or Usain Bolt. Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are considered the dual kings of the beautiful game, for example, but both men have enjoyed very limited success on the international stage – at least relative to their immense talents.
When predicting the men set to dominate in 2016, it’s important to not merely focus on the current cream of the crop, but to take into account all types of players – from seasoned veterans enjoying a late resurgence to young, raw upstarts. All across the world, from Birmingham to Buenos Aires, footballers are gearing up to enjoy a very fruitful year.

When Sunderland are linked to an Italian international star plying his trade for Juventus in the same all-conquering side as the iconic Andrea Pirlo and Gianluigi Buffon, fans are allowed to get carried away.
Emanuele Giaccherini arrived on Wearside in 2013 during the whirlwind Paolo Di Canio ‘era’ for around £6 million, and captured the imagination of the locals. It was an exciting time, with expectations set high for the new Premier League season.
Of course, everybody knows that simply wasn’t the case. Jozy Altidore was about as much use as a three-legged chair, the master magician Cabral evaporated into thin air, Di Canio left in fury, and the whole club defaulted back to square one – and Giaccherini was hauled down with it.
The Italian was accustomed to being surrounded by quality. He was an amateur in the art of ‘struggling’, a talent mastered by Sunderland. Giaccherini...

In terms of football, the 21st century has been magnificent. The game has continued to grow, and the battle for its top prizes seems to get more and more competitive by the year. Over the last 14 years, we have witnessed Barcelona become arguably the greatest club side ever, Arsenal and Juventus go entire domestic seasons unbeaten, Manchester United dominate much of the English game and Brazil, Italy, Spain and Germany win the World Cup.
During that same time frame there have been some truly astounding players to grace the game. Goalkeepers and defenders like Manuel Neuer, Gianluigi Buffon, Fabio Cannavaro, Cafu and Philipp Lahm have shown their consistent brilliance, English stars like Steven Gerrard, Paul Scholes and Wayne Rooney have been world-class for long periods and supreme strikers like Raul, Andriy Shevchenko and Luis Suarez have wowed audiences week in, week out with their talent. Liverpool are in Spain preparing for tonight’s daunting Champions League showdown with Real Madrid, knowing that a victory would arguably be the most unlikely triumph in the club’s history. Brendan Rodgers’ side are in extremely poor form, both domestically and in Europe, while Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded team are scoring goals for fun and are the current champions of Europe. They key question is: has there ever been a game the Reds were less likely to win since the competition’s inception in 1992?
The 2005 Champions League Final is probably a good place to start. AC Milan, managed by Ancelotti at the time, had a ridiculous amount of talent in their side, whether it be Cafu and Paolo Maldini at the back, Andrea Pirlo, Clarence Seedorf and Kaka in midfield or the brilliant Andriy Shevchenko up front. This team, commonly referred to as a “World XI”, can contain stars from any league, and is to include one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers.
The World XI for 2013 will be announced on January 13, 2014, when the shortlist of football’s greats will be whittled down to a final 11 man team.

Newcastle United will move for Reading stopper Alex McCarthy if current number one Tim Krul joins Juventus in January or over the summer.
The Daily Star has linked Dutch goalie Krul, 25, with a £20 million move to the Serie A giants as Antonio Conte turns his attention to finding a successor for Gianluigi Buffon in Turin.
Krul is under contract at St James’ Park until 2016 and recently won plaudits for a string of outstanding saves as the Toon beat Tottenham Hotpsur 1-0 at White Hart Lane.
Magpies manager Alan Pardew thus has a contingency plan if he is sold and is set to bid for 23-year-old McCarthy. Since the Royals were relegated from the Premier League last term he has been first choice under Nigel Adkins.

Tomorrow night, the collective nation will hold its breath as England play host to Montenegro in a must-win World Cup qualifier at Wembley Stadium.
Group H of the qualifying campaign is finely balanced with the Three Lions currently sitting top on 16 points, but closely shadowed by Ukraine and Friday’s opponents on 15 points.
With just two games to go, one slip up from Roy Hodgson’s men could be fatal, which is why it is critical he gets his team selection spot-on.
Barring injury to Ashley Cole and the extended absence of Theo Walcott, Hodgson has virtually a fully fit squad to select from tomorrow, and here, we predict his starting XI.

Italy manager Cesare Prandelli is expected to heavily rely on a Juventus and AC Milan contingent ahead of this prestige international friendly with Brazil.
Centre-back Giorgio Chiellini misses out with an ankle injury, so Andrea Barzagli could partner Leonardo Bonucci and Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia in front of Gianluigi Buffon in a 3-5-2 line-up.
Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo is expected to anchor a five-man midfield consisting of Abate, Marchisio, Montolivo and Giaccherini, with Stephan El Shaarawy set to partner Milan teammate Mario Balotelli up front.
Luiz Felipe Scolari has already named his starting XI in an adventurous 4-3-3 formation.

Spain claimed their third successive major international title after winning Euro 2012 with a typically dominant performance over Italy in Kiev.
David Silva scored the first goal after only 14 minutes before Jordi Alba got forward from left-back to slot home the second in the first half.
Italy went down to 10 men in the second period when they lost Thiago Motta to injury and Spain took full control. First Fernando Torres and then Juan Mata scored goals to finish the match.
The Spanish started with their usual system of six midfielders, including the ever-consistent Sergio Busquets and Xabi Alonso. Italian manager Cesare Prandelli opted to start Mario Balotelli and Antonio Cassano in the hope that they could conjure up a similar performance to the one they gave against Germany.
Spain had the best of the opening exchanges, that mainly arrived via the feet of the outstanding Xavi. After 10 minutes the Barcelona play-maker...

Record breakers Spain have been crowned European Champions for the third time in their history and for the second time in a row after a dominating victory in the Euro 2012 final.
They beat Italy 4-0 with goals from David Silva, Jordi Alba and Fernando Torres, before Juan Mata added gloss to proceedings late on. Italy though had to play the final twenty minutes with ten men after using all their substitutions before Motta, a substitute himself, was forced off with injury and the final scoreline is harsh on Italy who in fact only had 2% less overall possession by full time.
Despite this, Spain gave the same lethal display that has seen them go 12 European Championship matches unbeaten – a new record. In fact, the night was full of them. Fernando Torres’ goal means he is the first player to score in two European finals and coach Vincente Del Bosque equalled West...

Spain could make history by becoming the only international team to win three major titles in a row when they meet Italy in the Euro 2012 Final on Sunday.
This is a look back at their journey to the Final and what to expect from the game at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.
Their tournament began as it will finish; against Italy.
Vicente del Bosque elected to play without a striker in a 4-6-0 formation that included Cesc Fabregas as a makeshift frontman. His system allowed the six middle men to swap positions frequently, exchanging passes between one another until space opened up for a break away pass through the opposition’s back four.
Italy, playing a 3-5-2, coped well under the pressure and by half time the score remained 0-0. Italian wingers Christian Maggio and Emanuele Giaccherini were immense at falling back to clog up the penalty area...

Italy meet Spain in the Euro 2012 Final on Sunday, with Cesare Prandelli’s men the last capable of stopping the Spaniards winning their third consecutive major international trophy.
This is a look back at their journey to the Final and what to expect from the game at the Olympic Stadium in Kiev.
Their tournament began as it will finish; against Spain.
Cesare Prandelli took a chance on a 3-5-2 formation that he had been toying with in the absence of usual left-back Domenico Criscito, excluded to deal with a betting scandal surrounding him in Russia.
Meanwhile Vicente Del Bosque set out a 4-6-0, preferring six midfielders to an orthodox striker like Fernando Torres or Fernando Llorente.
While Xavi and Andres Iniesta were not completely stopped in their tracks, the Italian system worked efficiently enough to allow the Azzurri to keep the score at 0-0 by half time.

It was the most incredible penalty shootout of all time.
Shearer, Platt, Pearce, Gascoigne and Sheringham had all thundered home their spot kicks, as had Hassler, Strunz, Reuter, Ziege and Kuntz. The shootout had gone to sudden death. The first side to miss would surely be going home.
Then up stepped Gareth Southgate. He strolled into the penalty area, spotted the ball, walked backwards ten yards to the edge of the box, ran up and…
Well, the rest is, as they say, history.
Germany went through 6-5 and won the final of Euro 1996 against the Czech Republic for the first time as a unified nation, Oliver Bierhoff scoring the first ever Golden Goal to decide it.
That would be the last time England would grace the semi finals of a European Championship.
They were quarter finalists in Euro 2004, again suffering heartbreak in the penalty shootout,...

An exquisite set piece from Andrea Pirlo was cancelled out by Croatia’s Euro 2012 goal machine Mario Mandzukic to share the honours in Poznan.
The Italian’s looked the better team from the first half and had the best of the chances in the first 45 minutes.
The first to test Croatia’s resolve was Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio. Capitalising on a blocked Mario Balotelli shot to strike a thunderous shot which just fizzed over the bar.
Balotelli himself also forced a save out of former Tottenham goalkeeper Pletikosa with a snap shot just outside the eighteen yard box.
It was Marchisio again though who provided the best chance of the game before the opening goal. Stipe Pletikosa was tested to the limit of his abilities, having to pull off a double save to prevent the player from putting Italy in front after a wonderful piece of play in the box.

Defending European Champions Spain opened their tournament with a draw against former World Champions Italy.
Antonio Di Natale scored with just over an hour gone, receiving a through ball from Andrea Pirlo before beating Iker Casillas. The lead only lasted a couple of minutes as Cesc Fabregas levelled for La Roja.
Spanish manager Vicente del Bosque opted to start with six midfielders in a 4-3-3 formation, Fabregas playing as the central striker. While the Italians placed Danielle De Rossi as a sweeper in a 1-4-3-2 system.
David Silva had the first chance, smashing the ball over the bar from the edge of the box with eight minutes gone. The Azzurri soon responded with a free-kick from Andrea Pirlo that Casillas had to turn around the post.
Pirlo was at the centre of the next Italian attack as well, this time finding Antonio Cassano on the left before...
