Gavin Glynn has been living a very charmed life in Chicago/Los Angeles/Tokyo working and creating in the entertainment industry. He began working for the Artistic Director of the esteemed La Jolla Playhouse then began his tenure at Fox, Inc for K. Rupert Murdoch Holdings (Human Resource Manager for 5,000 employees) with Twentieth Century Fox Film & Television then to FOX network. He was the only key assist who had an overall film and television deal with 20th Century Fox Film and TV which allowed him to perform additional periphery jobs as a professional expert for writing credits at Writers Guild of America as well as a story editor to the Artistic Director of the Sundance Screenwriting Lab in Park City, UT; Paris,France and Havan Cuba. While at FOX he began as a promotional writer for FOX national campaigns and won the Reggie Award for the most successful ad campaign for The Simpsons. He joined the FOX Specials division where he co-created with Mike Darnell (current President of WBTV) the "reality" genre for television with "Alien Autopsy" developed a record breaking 58 hours a year of original programming allowing FOX to pass CBS in the ratings to become for the first time the #3 highest rated network. Gavin soon commandeered the FOX Live! division with the EMMY (created the Half-hour Animated Series category), the Billboard Awards (created Music Legend Award) and the NAACP Image Awards (created the Vagabond Award for outstanding contribution of Caucasian opening doors for persons of color) along with facilitating FOX's in-house Fox Square Productions. Paramount TV optioned two of his pilots "Knight & Dey" and "Liberty Hill" for FOX and NBC. Walt Disney International recruited Gavin to head up their animation to stage productions in Tokyo, Japan for TokyoDisney Sea. His five live shows earned the coveted THETA Award for most outstanding entertainment values. He was promoted at Walt Disney International to head up show content for all five Disney Resorts in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Anaheim, Orlando, and Paris. He returned stateside after reading George Stephanopoulos' autobiographical tome "All Too Human" on his last Tokyo flight to L.A. He adopted five children from DCFS and needed to work from home as weekly California political correspondent for ABC's "This Week for George Stephanopoulos" until the namesake moved on to "Good Morning America" ten years later. While at This Week he created the "Roundtable" format, the "Sunday Funnies" (collection of opening monologue clips of talk show hosts), and "In Memoriam" U.S. obituary segment for Mr. Stephanopoulos. Gavin is a in demand script doctor (ie; Taken) and script consultant (The Living Century) and the first Student Producer (UCLA Extension) to win the Student Academy Award for "Dolphins: Minds In The Water. He is the recipient of the Silver Award for outstanding contribution towards the Sundance Film Festival where his film "Kenji Faith" was a finalist in jury selection prize. He earned the Hollywood Renaissance Award for his narrative film "the get" about yellow journalism in Eastern Bloc countries. He produced avant-garde filmmaker Patrick Gleason's horror film "Brain Drain" garnered both the best film at the Houston and Berlin Film Festivals. He has been a buyer for the Film Cannes Festival and a trendspotter for Village Roadshow of Australia. He is currently developing structured reality music series for Broken Typewriter Co. and adapting the novel "Claretta Street" for Brown Bear Prodcutions television for Colette Barris (Kenya's elder sister) for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Gavin is represented by Jamie Gruttemeyer of The Alternative Agency in Bel Air, CA. Gavin has completed recording production on two songs for release on Apple iTunes, Spotify, Sound Cloud, and Tidal in September and October 2019 "Claretta Street" and "Antiseptic Love" respectively both sung by Elaine Gibbs of "X-Factor fame of season four.
