It’s been eight years since Netflix released 13 Reasons Why, the series that nearly traumatized its viewers due to scenes depicting s*icide, violence, and the like. Who would ever forget the bathtub scene where Hannah Baker took her own life? Or that broomstick scene in Season 2 that almost turned our stomachs upside down?
There were so many triggering moments in this show that even years after it aired on the streaming platform, the memory of them still gives us shivers. Because of the backlash, Netflix and a voluntary health organization have agreed to edit and remove one controversial scene.

Brandon Flynn starred as Justin Foley on 13 Reasons Why for the show’s entire run. Justin is one of the series’ most dynamic and complex characters. Initially introduced as a popular high school athlete, he is Hannah Baker’s first crush and plays a pivotal role in her decision to create the tapes. His actions—specifically sharing an intimate photo of Hannah paired with a false narrative—set off the chain of events leading to her downfall.
13 Reasons Why is a gripping teen drama that explores the devastating effects of bullying, mental health struggles, and trauma through the lens of high school life. The story begins with Clay Jensen discovering a series of tapes recorded by his friend Hannah Baker, detailing the reasons she took her own life. As secrets unravel, the show delves into issues like sexual assault, substance abuse, and suicide, sparking important conversations about empathy and accountability.

Marvel Studios had a pretty flawless run throughout its Infinity Saga. Sure, some movies were weaker than others, and not all of its run was smooth-sailing, but for the most part, the Marvel Cinematic Universe's long-form storytelling was a game-changing hit, enjoying levels of consistent box office success that had never been seen before, and acclaim from both fans and critics.
Avengers: Endgame brought about an incredible culmination to that story, leaving fans feeling all kinds of emotions. The Avengers' defeat of Thanos was a bittersweet moment as it came with the sacrifice of Tony Stark, a.k.a. Iron Man. It was a heartbreaking conclusion that brought about the end of one era and the beginning of another.

Hannah's first reason for her suicide was Justin Foley, who started a rumor about her that tarnished her reputation. Meanwhile, Alex Standall contributed to a "Hot List" that further damaged Hannah's reputation and sparked aggression from others. Jessica Davis, Hannah's former friend, turned against her and bullied her after their friendship ended. Her friend Courtney also contributed by hiding the truth. The biggest reason involved Bryce Walker, who sexually assaulted both Hannah and Jessica.

Social media has been both the downfall and saving grace for rising actor Ivy Wolk, who just made her Cannes Film Festival debut in Sean Baker’s critically lauded “Anora.”
The 20-year-old L.A. native started making irreverent comedy videos in the early days of TikTok when she was just 14, amassing over 200,000 followers on an account called @fathoodbitch. But when she scored her first real acting job on the Freeform sitcom “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” she was forced to delete it — so she returned secretly in the midst of the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic under the handle @livesinasociety. As her TikTok following grew even larger, the tide of public opinion began to shift. People on the internet unearthed old offensive tweets of hers, and before she knew it, Wolk found herself shunned. Over the years, Netflix has become known for releasing cutting-edge shows like The End of the F-ing World, which often gets everyone talking. The show is based on a graphic novel, but it is as far removed from superhero fare as a show can get. Instead, it is a coming-of-age story with peculiar dark humor and quirky main characters. The first season saw a teenager named James who believes he is a psychopath, seeking his first murder victim. However, when he finds that victim in another teen named Alyssa, the two eventually fall in love.
The End of the F-ing World appeals to adults as well as teenagers, and the second season kept that same off-kilter dynamic, with a new young killer seeking revenge against the characters from the first season. With the show ended after two seasons, there are several shows like The End of the F-ing World, both...

Of the many changes that have taken place in television storytelling, the non-linear narrative is the most compelling of them all. Writers have stepped away from the traditional structure of the first act introducing characters, the second creating the conflict, and the third resolving the problem faced by the characters.

13 Reasons Why concluded with one final tragedy — here's why Justin's death on 13 Reasons Why was the show's biggest mistake. So, how did Justin Foley die? Played by Brandon Flynn, the character of Foley was an integral part of 13 Reasons Why. He was the first to be mentioned on Hannah's tapes, and he was named and shamed twice as contributing to her suicide. The first came when he shared a lewd photo of her, erroneously exacerbating a rumor. The second time was infinitely more serious — when he stood by as Bryce Walker raped Jessica Davis. Justin served as an antagonist throughout 13 Reasons Why season 1.
By the end of the first season, however, the weight of his choices proved too much for Justin and he spent subsequent seasons actively trying to atone for his mistakes. He never again failed to fight for and protect Jessica, he testified on behalf of Bryce's victims in a court case,...

New Delhi, Jan 30 (Ians) India’s trophy-winning captain Shafali Verma, her opening partner Shweta Sehrawat and leg-spinner Parshavi Chopra have been included in the Icc U19 Women’s T20 World Cup team of the tournament, day after beating England by seven wickets in the final at Potchefstroom in South Africa.
Shafali was at her destructive best with the bat and her tactical best as captain throughout the tournament. She would have liked to be more consistent with the bat but the rate at which her runs came (at 193.25) made up for it.
Her 34-ball 78 against UAE was an exhibition in power-hitting as she smashed the bowlers to all parts of the ground for 12 fours and four sixes. She was the third-highest run-getter in the tournament with 172 runs. Shafali also chipped in with handy overs, scalping four wickets in seven games at an economy rate of just 5.04.

Haley Lu Richardson and Olivia Cooke are well aware of how you feel about their characters. They know the women aren’t exactly the most likable of the bunch. In fact, it was even a challenge for them to find some empathy for the characters — but it was a fun challenge.
Speaking as part of TheWrap’s Power Women Summit on Dec. 13, Cooke and Richardson appeared alongside fellow actresses Aimee Lou Wood of “Sex Education” and “Living,” Xochitl Gomez of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” and Tommy Dorfman, who is set to make her directorial debut on “I Wish You All the Best” after acting on shows including “13 Reasons Why.” And really, all five women have experienced a disconnect between how fans view them, versus their characters.

Through 18 seasons of Grey's Anatomy, there have been plenty of changes.
Some of the biggest changes come from the cast, as any show that has been on as long as Grey's has surely seen plenty of cast exits.
Luckily, the cast that departed early in the series (or even more recently) can still be seen in other projects. So where are they now?
Isaiah Washington -- Dr. Preston Burke
Isaiah Washington portrayed Dr. Preston Burke for the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy.
Washington also returned as a guest on Grey's Anatomy Season 10 after Cristina left Grey Sloan.

He's also appeared in shows such as Blue Bloods, Bull, Law & Order: LA, and was recurring during Survivor's Remorse Season 4.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has received a letter signed by 50 of Britain’s biggest stars, including Dame Judi Dench, Brian May Cbe, Leona Lewis, Gary Lineker OBE, James Arthur, Thandie Newton OBE, Alesha Dixon, Ricky Gervais, Mollie King and Dame Twiggy Lawson, urging him to implement a UK ban on the sale of real animal fur.
Animal protection organisation Humane Society International/UK which leads the #FurFreeBritain campaign in collaboration with other animal charities, is hopeful that a 2021 ban is possible now that the Brexit transition is completed.

The first season of 13 Reasons Why on Netflix was based on the Jay Asher novel of the same name about a high school girl who commits suicide. But before she does, she creates a series of 13 cassette tapes, each addressed to one person she claims played a role in the turmoil that caused her to make the decision.
It was a heartbreaking and controversial season, much like the three that came after it. But none have made the same impact as the first.

To say that 13 Reasons Why Season 4 was a waste would be the understatement of the century.
The controversial Netflix series had an intricately plotted and emotionally driven freshman season, but the show's purpose died when we learned what led to Hannah Baker's untimely demise.
Hollywood has been known to milk shows for all their worth, and that's why we witnessed Netflix beat a dead horse three seasons in a row.
While it's difficult to forgive the terrible storylines, 13 Reasons Why Season 4 actually got some of the characters right during its final season.
The series had some questionable storylines over the course of its run, but with faux school shootings, Clay completely losing his grip on reality, and other outlandish things, it seemed like all hope for worthwhile developments were dashed.
Alex coming to terms with his sexuality is the type of storyline I would have expected the show to botch.

This is a nice change of pace for Katherine Langford.
The former 13 Reasons Why star is leading the cast of Cursed, a new Netflix drama, that just got a premiere date and a first trailer.
Based on the New York Times bestselling book, Cursed is a re-imagination of the Arthurian legend, told through the eyes of Nimue, a young woman with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake.
After her mother's death, she finds an unexpected partner in Arthur, a humble mercenary, in a quest to find Merlin and deliver an ancient sword.
Over the course of her journey, Nimue will become a symbol of courage and rebellion against the terrifying Red Paladins, and their complicit King Uther.
Cursed is a coming-of-age story whose themes are familiar to our own time: the obliteration of the natural world, religious terror, senseless war,...

I read Jay Asher's 13 Reasons Why not long after it was originally published in 2007. The story about a teenage girl who dies by suicide and leaves behind 13 tapes with her 13 reasons for taking her life, was a very heavy one, but one that I felt Ok reading. I was in my early 20s at the time, older than the main character Hannah Baker, but I couldn't help but feel her pain of wanting to make friends and fall in love and be normal, only to have things constantly knock her down. It was a story with a beginning, a middle, and an end, and I was curious to see how Netflix would handle the adaptation when the story first dropped on the streamer in 2017.

13 Reasons Why takes on a number of major issues in its final season, but one of the topics is a continuation of a storyline we've been following since season one: Clay's declining mental health. Though his health takes a major turn for the worse this season, there have been hints that he suffers from anxiety from season one when his parents ask him if he wants to go back on his medication after the death of Hannah Baker. They're concerned that his nightmares may be coming back and offer him the option of speaking to someone who isn't a parent: in this case, a therapist.
In season two, Clay starts having visions of Hannah, interrupting his attempts at intimacy with then-girlfriend Skye. It could be seen as distressing psychosis or obsession, but extreme grief can also distort one's mindset. Hallucinations of dead loved ones is a common phenomenon, even for those without a mental illness,...
