The makers of the upcoming short film ‘Raakh’ have finally revealed the first look of the film. Written and Directed by Milap Zaveri ‘Raakh’ is a thriller starring Richa Chadha, Vir Das and Shaad Randhawa. The film is presented by Officer’s Choice Blue and is set to release online on 7th November, 2016!

The motion poster justifies the title Raakh: Ashes to Ashes, as we see the actor’s faces being revealed from the smoke of a burning match stick. The first look of the short film has been launched on the auspicious day of Dusshera to emphasise that ‘Evil will Burn’.

What catches our attention is the song playing in the background, in the melodious voice of singing maestro Sonu Nigam. This is the first time that the singer has lent his voice for a short film and from what we hear it seems to be an emotionally stirring song.

Milap Zaveri announced his debut as a producer under the Write Direction Films banner with a short film titled Raakh today. The ensemble for the film comprises of actors who have come together for the first time and will be portraying potentially dark roles! The motion logo of the film was released today with the announcement that Raakh commences shoot on 22nd July in Mumbai. By the look of the logo it seems that the film explores a never treaded path by writer-director Milap Zaveri.

The filmmaker further revealed that it is a dark, powerful, emotional revenge thriller and is his experiment with this genre as a director. Randhawa, who was married to Mallika (actress Mumtaz's sister) has a son Shaad Randhawa, who made his Bollywood debut with Mohit Suri's Who Lamhe. Speaking about his late uncle, Vindoo Dara Singh said that his father and his uncle symbolized the real-life Ram and Laxman. He added that, his uncle's words that heart attack was the most peaceful way to die, eventually came true. Not many know that besides films, Randhawa was a big name in the wrestling as well, a la his brother Dara. Bollywood Hungama offers its deepest condolences to the Randhawa family and whole heartedly prays for the departed man's soul to rest in eternal peace.

The cast of the film Aashiqui 2, a sequel to the Rahul Roy- Anu Aggarwal musical blockbuster Aashiqui, has now been finalized. The film will be a love triangle starring Shraddha Kapoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shaad Randhawa. The makers had conducted a nationwide talent hunt to cast fresh faces in the film, but unfortunately none of the participants matched their requirement. They then decided to cast Shakti Kapoor's daughter Shraddha, who was last seen in Y-Film Luv Ka The End, yesteryear actress Mumtaz's nephew Shaad Randhawa, who was launched by the Bhatts in Woh Lamhe and Aditya Roy Kapoor, who starred in Action Replayy and Guzaarish. According to producer Mukesh Bhatt, Aashiqui 2 would do for Shraddha, Aditya and Shaad what the first Aashiqui did for Rahul, Anu and Deepak Tijori. Aashiqui 2 is a contemporary love story. Jeet Ganguly will compose seven original tracks for the film.
