Frank Varela is an American UCLA Design Grad art director and author known for his production design work on TV and film, The Prince of Old Havana, anonymous (street meat), Kninth floor, Red on Red, When it Rains, X-Files, Superman, Batman and Catwoman. Author of the logo book CONCEPTiCONS, he's co-President of Ciboney Productions and won the DC Mattel Design Award for excellence two years in a row -- 10-11 and represented Mattel at Comic-Con in San Diego, CA. As an accomplished artist, Frank has been written about in The New York Times and many other well-known art publications.
