Just in time for Halloween, director Brock Otterbacher has unleashed his terrifying new horror short Summon.
On the night he's planning to propose to his girlfriend, Joseph (Jeff Wiesen) and his friend Derek decide instead to play with a mysterious spirit board. Little do they know that there's something waiting for them, with a proposal of its own...
Shot in 2012 (pre-Ouija movie), Built By Cyclops is pleased to present their 1st release. Summon was inspired by the stories Brock Otterbacher used to watch on shows like Tales from the Darkside and Monsters, as well as ghost movies like The Changeling and The Legend of Hell House.
Best experienced with the resolution high, its time to turn the sound up and the lights off!

"No one knows where it came from, but the first recorded use of it is from the journal of one James Mason, who, in the late nineteen century, documented the numerous times he tried to summon the spirit of his dead wife. While each time he felt a contactor, he reported stranger and stranger occurrences happening in his house. Until one day...He just disappeared. At this point, he'd become a recluse, so no one noticed he was missing until about a year later, when someone thought to check in on him. It was clear that he'd been in the middle of some sort of ritual.
