The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again made its premiere on Disney+ last month (you can read our review Here), and just wrapped up its run – but the good news is, season 2 started filming at the end of February and we already know when it’s going to premiere! Spoilers for "Daredevil: Born Again" follow.
Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) was in nominal vigilante retirement for most of "Daredevil: Born Again" season 1. Yet less time as Daredevil meant more time for his lawyer day job.
Episodes 2 and 3 of "Born Again" focused on Matt defending Hector Ayala (Kamar de los Reyes), a man accused of murdering an NYPD officer, and secretly the vigilante the White Tiger. These episodes directly adapted Brian Michael Bendis' "Daredevil" comic arc, "Trial of the Century," but unlike the source material, Matt managed to get Hector found "not guilty." It didn't matter in the end because episode 3 concluded with a masked man, dressed in the Punisher's skull logo, shooting White Tiger in the head.
Of course, this wasn't the actual Punisher, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal). Matt, noticing the slug that killed Hector had a Punisher logo on its casing, tracked down Frank. Mr. Castle countered that he...

Daredevil: Born Again Episode 7 "Art For Art's Sake" Recap - Daredevil vs. Muse Round 2!! - Spoilers
Following last week's clutch rescue, tonight's episode opens in the Mayor's officer, where Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) learns that the young survivor, Angela del Toro (Camila Rodriguez), is claiming Daredevil (Charlie Cox) was the one who saved her - a revelation that seems to genuinely surprise Fisk. He clears the room and contemplates his next move... cue the opening credits!
Angela is recovering in the hospital, haunted by nightmares of her near-fatal encounter with Muse.
Meanwhile, Matt is shown back at his apartment, recalling the previous night's events. As he washes blood from his hair, his shower is interrupted by Heather (Margarita Levieva), and the two share a private moment.
Cut to the next morning in their bedroom: Heather questions Matt about his mysterious late-night comings and goings - and where he's getting all these bruises. He tries to downplay her suspicions, but she pushes back, telling him to stop burying his trauma.

It’s the dawn of a new day for the Man Without Fear, and as Daredevil: Born Again rises from the ashes of the Defendersverse, he’s finally being amalgamated into the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although it wasn’t always the plan, there have been plenty of returning faces and newcomers alike. Alongside Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio, newcomers included Kamar de los Reyes’ Hector Ayala, Camila Rodriguez’s Angela del Toro, and the mysterious Muse (although the twist that it’s Hunter Doohan playing him won’t come as a surprise).
Marvel Studios has already mapped out multiple seasons of Born Again, with this freshman outing being loosely based on the “Devil’s Reign” arc from the comics. We’ve just met another new face pulled directly from the pages of Marvel Comics, as Jeremy Earl joins the MCU as Cole North. While we’re expecting a typical MCU twist on the character,...

Following a quick detour to the bank in episode five, we return to the streets of New York, where a body has been found with its eyes gouged out. Meanwhile, a new mural has also appeared on a nearby building, once again taking aim at the mayor.
Cut to Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) back in his apartment, reciting scripture while holding Foggy's braille remembrance card and reflecting on some of the biggest moments from this season. As he finishes, Heather (Margarita Levieva) walks in and is surprised to learn that Matt still prays. He says he's fallen off, but he's getting back to it.
Meanwhile, back in the mayor's office, Sheila Rivera (Zabryna Guevara) is briefing Mayor Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) about an upcoming event on his schedule, but he tells her to go in his place because he's getting tired of all these black-tie affairs. She then tells him...

While the Netflix era of Daredevil didn’t exactly skimp on the violence, Daredevil: Born Again hasn’t let its new home on Disney+ dilute the brutal nature of its source material. Despite only being three episodes into its nine-episode run, Born Again has already made the most of its TV-ma rating with the shocking death of Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) during a blood-soaked fight scene that opened the first episode. The body count is only set to climb thanks to the much-hyped return of Frank Castle, a.k.a. the Punisher, and while Jon Bernthal is yet to officially appear, Born Again makes it look like the violent vigilante has already claimed his first victim.

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025 – and season 2 of the show was scheduled to begin filming today, February 28th! With cameras, presumably, now rolling, Deadline has broken the news that the new batch of episodes brings Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddy’s) into the cast. Details on the character Lillard will be playing are, of course, being kept under wraps.
This is a busy time for Lillard, as he just completed work on the sequel to Five Nights at Freddy‘s and also has a role in the currently-filming Scream 7, playing a character that was killed off in the first Scream way back in 1996.

The first two episodes of Marvel’s “Daredevil: Born Again” have been unveiled to members of the press, and the first reactions for the Disney+ series are glowing.
Screen Rant on-camera reporter Liam Crowley praised the show on X, writing, “[‘Daredevil: Born Again’] has the best pilot of any MCU series thus far, and it’s not close. Edge of seat energy w/ audible gasps throughout. Charlie [Cox] & Vincent [D’Onofrio] haven’t lost a step, Benson & Moorhead bring the sauce. Above all else, it’s Episodic. We might be back.”
Sean O’Connell, managing editor of Cinema Blend, agreed. He wrote, “Holy Hell’s Kitchen! [‘Daredevil: Born Again’] opens with a lengthy, devastating sequence that screams, ‘This is just as brutal as Netflix.’ From there, the 2 episodes lay out a layered story about cops, vigilantes, and guilt. Read Devil’S Reign as a refresh. Off to a Great start!”

Before Marvel Studios brings Matt Murdock back for Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ on March 4 with a two-episode debut, the House of Ideas brings a bone-breaking special look video to the front line, giving fans an in-depth look at the upcoming series. The new video features primary cast members like Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, and more, plus executive producers Brad Winderbaum and Sana Amanat. As intense footage from the show teases the fierce violence and villainy to come, Amanat says the goal was to honor the original series and expand on what Daredevil can bring to the MCU landscape.
Daredevil: Born Again brings Philip Silvera, who was the stunt coordinator for Netflix’s Daredevil seasons one and two, back to the show. In the video, Silvera has a s**t-eating grin as he directs the series’ hard-hitting action, which looks more intense than ever. I’m not kidding.

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025 – and Variety has revealed that two episodes of the show will feature Tony Dalton as Jack Duquesne, a.k.a. The Swordsman, a character he previously played in the Marvel / Disney+ series Hawkeye. Dalton won’t be the only character from another Marvel / Disney+ who will drop by Daredevil: Born Again along the way, as we’ve previously heard that Mohan Kapur will be making an appearance as Kamala Khan’s father Yusuf Khan, a character he played in Ms. Marvel and The Marvels.
Variety reminds us that “Duquesne, the alter ego of the comic book character The Swordsman, debuted in live-action with a twist on his comic origins. He crossed paths with the new Hawkeye Kate Bishop, played by Hailee Steinfeld, and was engaged to her mother Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga). At first,...

The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on March 4, 2025 – and during an interview with SFX magazine, showrunner Dario Scardapane, who previously worked on Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan and the Netflix series The Punisher, said this show will be even darker than the Netflix Daredevil series it follows, with less navel-gazing and more frequent big action sequences.

Now, this series is a direct follow-up to the Netflix series, picking up five years later. Scardapane was brought in to serve as showrunner during the overhaul, and the behind-the-scenes shake-up also led to Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, the...

The new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again confirmed that the Disney+ revival will adapt the popular "Mayor Fisk" storyline from the comics. Vincent D'Onofrio, who portrays Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, recently teased what fans can expect from Marvel Television's take on the comic storyline.
The "Mayor Fisk" storyline was first hinted at in the series finale of Echo, which featured D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk in a supporting role. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the actor shared that while the storyline is inspired by the comic version, viewers should prepare for a less-than-faithful adaptation. "Anything on our show is, nine out of 10 times, leading to something that's even bigger and crazier," teased D'Onofrio. "For Fisk, this journey is a path to more control." The Born Again trailer already hinted at how Fisk's mayoral journey may lead Matt Murdock to suit back up as Daredevil, with the fan-favorite...

Daredevil is back in the MCU once again.
Disney has released the trailer for the upcoming Marvel TV series, “Daredevil: Born Again,” coming to Disney+ on March 4, 2025.
The gritty, street-level Marvel series will be the official reintroduction of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil and his cast of characters from the original Marvel TV series that launched on Netflix. The last time MCU fans saw Daredevil, he was hooking up with Tatiana Maslany’s Jennifer Walters, aka She-Hulk, in the 2022 Disney+ series “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.” He also popped up briefly in the Disney+ series “Echo” and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” as Peter Parker’s lawyer. “Born Again” will be the first TV series starring Cox as Daredevil after his Netflix series wrapped after three seasons, and it brings back several other key characters like Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin and Jon Bernthal’s Punisher.

The Man Without Fear isn't going anywhere in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. If a new rumor is to be believed, Charlie Cox is going to be booked and busy reprising his role of Matt Murdock/Daredevil for the foreseeable future.
According to trusted scooper Alex Perez of The Cosmic Circus, Marvel Studios is already discussing ideas for Daredevil "post-Secret Wars not only for a third season [of Daredevil: Born Again], but also [for] his future inclusion in films." This development stems from Daredevil: Born Again reportedly being "absolutely fantastic," with Perez noting that the "production team really tried to not only recapture the feel and vibe of the Netflix show, but elevate it to a whole new scale." So far, Born Again remains Cox's only confirmed future appearance as Daredevil, although he has been rumored for both of the upcoming Avengers movies, as well as Spider-Man 4.

Daredevil: Born Again's place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe timeline has seemingly been revealed. Actor Wilson Bethel, who reprises his role as Benjamin Poindexter/Bullseye from the Netflix series, recently shared that the Disney+ series will pick up five years after the events of Season 3.

The show doesn't pick up the day after we last saw it. It picks up five years later." A new look at Daredevil: Born Again has been released. Matt Murdock actor Charlie Cox has also confirmed that Born Again will essentially serve as the long-awaited fourth season of the original Netflix Daredevil series.
Empire debuted the new image, which shows Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Matt Murdock (Cox), and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) walking outside their law firm, Nelson, Murdock & Page. It is essentially an official look at the trio's reunion that was previously revealed online back in February 2024 via a bunch of set photos. Woll and Henson were not originally slated to return as Karen and Foggy for Daredevil: Born Again. However, following a creative overhaul, the actors were brought back to reprise the fan-favorite roles, bringing the duo officially into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The first season of Daredevil: Born Again was initially supposed to feature 18 episodes. After the series underwent a creative overhaul, it was reduced by half.
During an appearance on the Phase Hero Podcast, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, Brad Winderbaum explained why the creative team decided to split the show into two nine-episodes. "Our first conceit for Daredevil was [to try] a longer format. Let's take this character and this world of New York City and build an ensemble. Then we learned a lot of lessons doing it that way," he said. "So, because of a number of reasons, including the shutdowns due to the strikes, we were able to reassess the episodes and see what we had. It's just the best nine episodes. It feels like it is a great kind of first season."

Charlie Cox says fans should not expect to see Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk in too many scenes together when Daredevil: Born Again debuts on Disney+. While it might seem like an odd choice to keep the show's titular hero and primary villain apart, the actor recently offered a reasonable explanation.
"With these characters, you have to always feel like, were they to cross paths, they would fight to the death... it would be hugely explosive," Cox told Collider at New York Comic Con. "So, you have to, in the writing of a show, in the construction of it, you have to limit the amount of time they can be together, or you have to give them real reason for them not to be together."

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 begins production in a few weeks but we won't get to watch that first batch of episodes until next March.
The Disney+ series promises to take a deep dive into the street-level corner of the MCU, something we'd once hoped was also the plan for Spider-Man 4.
Now, The Cosmic Circus brings a few rumoured updates on the show and the Man Without Fear's fellow Defenders. As expected, Mayor Wilson Fisk will indeed be hunting down vigilantes, with Echo and Blindspot once on his list. How much has changed since the creative overhaul remains unclear, though we might have to wait for the latter's MCU debut.

While Marvel Television (the original Jeph Loeb-led iteration) was in charge of Netflix's Daredevil, MCU concept artist Ryan Meinerding was enlisted to design the Man Without Fear's costume.
It didn't feature the iconic "Dd" logo and neither has any iteration of the suit since. In fact, it was still missing when Matt Murdock made his MCU debut in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and, based on Daredevil: Born Again set photos, it won't feature there either.
Perhaps the thought process is that a blind superhero wouldn't need or want to put a logo on his chest. Still, fans remain eager to see it on screen.
In the newly released Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding book, new artwork confirms that at least two different versions of the suit were designed for She-Hulk: Attorney at Law with the "Dd" logo front and centre.

An Interesting New Daredevil: Born Again Rumor Reveals Matt And The Kingpin's Surprising New Dynamic
Daredevil: Born Again underwent a creative overhaul midway through production, resulting in sweeping changes to both the story and creative team.
We believe original plans called for Foggy Nelson to die, prompting Matt Murdock to give up being the Man Without Fear (resulting in the lawyer not suiting up for at least four or five episodes of the nine-episode series). In place of a random gunman, we now have Bullseye and set photos have confirmed Karen Page has also been added to the scene.
Some footage from the original shoot will remain and it appears Foggy is still set to take a bullet. However, according to a new rumour shared on r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, there's going to be a unique twist.
While we're not putting too much stock in this, it's said that Matt is forced to work for Wilson Fisk's Mayoral campaign after turning to the Kingpin to help keep Foggy alive.

When Daredevil: Born Again finally arrives on Disney+ next March, we're expecting a long overdue deep dive into the street-level corner of the MCU.
We know the Man Without Fear will cross paths with the likes of White Tiger and The Punisher, while various online scoopers have claimed the plan for Spider-Man 4 is for Peter Parker and Daredevil to do battle with The Kingpin.
If that happens, then we'd imagine the idea is to bring Wilson Fisk's story to a definitive close when he's defeated by his two greatest foes.
Lead star Charlie Cox recently teased plans for cameos in Daredevil: Born Again and Daniel Richtman has now "confirmed" rumours that Jacques "Jack" Duquesne (Tony Dalton) will appear in the series. Is he finally going to suit up as Swordsman? That remains to be seen.
The scooper also claims that there were once plans for Iman Vellani's Kamala Khan/Ms.

Daredevil: Born Again will finally deliver a deep dive into the street-level corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Spider-Man: Homecoming and Hawkeye gave us a glimpse into that, of course, but it's in this series that we'll see vigilantes in action.
The Punisher and White Tiger are both confirmed to appear and lead star Charlie Cox commented on the latter character's role during a recent appearance at Fan Expo Chicago.
"I mean, we don't follow any of the comic books in terms of story," he told fans (via Screen Rant). "We don't follow any of them closely, and there's a number of reasons for that. One, because if you follow a storyline closely, it becomes a foregone conclusion because everyone knows how it ends."
"Those of you who saw the leaked trailer from D23 may have noticed a couple of interesting characters come up - I didn't say it, you said it.

White Tiger is coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Charlie Cox couldn't be more excited. The Daredevil actor recently opened up about the superhero's inclusion in Daredevil: Born Again, although he was careful not to reveal too much.
Speaking at a Fan Expo Chicago panel moderated by Screen Rant, Cox noted that Born Again does not adapt any specific Daredevil storyline from the comics. "I mean, we don't follow any of the comic books in terms of story. We don't follow any of them closely, and there's a number of reasons for that," he explained. Daredevil: Born Again Star Charlie Cox Reveals When He First Heard From Kevin Feige About MCU Return
With such a clear divide between Marvel Studios and Marvel Television, most fans never expected Netflix's street-level characters to appear in the MCU.
That changing looked a little more likely when Disney shuttered Marvel Television, but even then it was hard to imagine Kevin Feige and company being willing to pick up where several seasons of programming on Netflix left The Defenders.
However, in 2021, Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin returned in Hawkeye and, mere weeks later, we saw Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock in Spider-Man: No Way Home Home.
The former's newfound strength suggested Marvel Studios was making some changes to the characters, and while the Netflix shows have since been made "canon" to Earth-616, we still don't expect future projects like Daredevil: Born Again to adhere too closely to what's come before.
Talking to People, Cox revealed when he first heard from Feige about suiting up again.
