Tom DeLonge
Former Blink-182 Member Claims Us Government Is Hiding a Dead Alien
Tom DeLonge
Former Blink 182 member Tom DeLonge is back at it, this time spreading his theories of the existence of aliens on the Joe Rogan podcast. DeLonge claims that the United States government has a dead alien in its possession, but it's not what you think. Many believe that a UFO crashed in Roswell, New Mexico in 1947 and that's where the government got their hands on the deceased extraterrestrial. However, Tom DeLonge has revealed that the Roswell incident is not where the alien specimen came from. The former singer/guitar player from Blink-182 also revealed that the Us government has a top-secret spy craft that closely resembles what we think to be UFOs.

Tom DeLonge is now one of the biggest figures among UFO enthusiasts, as the former Blink-182 member is working together with ex-military officials and government officials to unveil the truth surrounding extraterrestrial life. The singer has also founded To The Stars Academy,...

The Joker origins film to focus on young, bullied kid
Simon Brew Aug 31, 2017

The Joker origins film will cover a younger, bullied version of the character...

Last week came the news that a Joker origins movie is in the words at Warner Bros. Martin Scorsese is set to produce the film, with The Hangover director Todd Phillips set to direct. This project is independent of Jared Leto’s take on The Joker, with Leto set for at least two more films as Batman’s most famous nemesis too.

One or two new details about the Joker origins projects have now arrived via a slightly different source too. Former Mma fighter Brendan Schaub has appeared on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, and his agent is Todd Feldman. Feldman also represents Todd Phillips. And Schaub said of the Joker project that “my boy Todd Feldman put this together with Todd Phillips”.

“It’s dark. It’s like a dark Joker. As a kid,...

The Joker Origin Film Described as "Super Dark and Real" and Rumored To Feature The Classic Villain as a Kid
It was recently announced that DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. were developing a Joker origin film with producer Martin Scorsese and director Todd Phillips. I was actually pretty shocked by this news, mostly because of the talent involved with it. For some reason, I never thought I'd see Scorsese involved with a comic book film project like this.

We already know that the movie will feature a different actor in the role other than Jared Leto, and that actor would possibly be younger. According to some new information that has surfaced, we might just be seeing The Joker as a kid.

The following information comes from an unlikely source. That source is Mma Fighter turned actor Brendan Schaub, who is apparently friends with Todd Phillips’ agent Todd Feldman, which is where he got his information. While a guest on the Joe Rogan Experience, Schaub dropped the following bit of info:

"It’s dark.

Rumor: Joker Has A Permanent Smile In Joker Origin Movie
The verdict is still out on whether or not the DC Extended Universe will have a long and healthy life, but Warner Bros. is taking some interesting steps that an positively affect their properties, should it not. Last week, it was revealed that director Todd Phillips and producer Martin Scorsese were in talks to develop an origin story for the Joker.

Unlike any of the DC films that had hit in recent years, the Joker origin film won’t be a part of the Dceu. This will allow the filmmakers not to be restricted by any of the the preexisting canon, and will give them the room to actually tell the story they want to tell. Considering that Warner Bros. had considered themselves a director-focused studio, this is fantastic news, and could lead to more Dark Knight-caliber DC flicks.

But what would the Joker film actually entail? Obviously, it’s...

David Letterman Returns In New Netflix Series!
David Letterman, the longest-serving host in U.S. late night television, is returning to television for a new series for Netflix.

The yet-to-be-named, six-episode series has Letterman combining two interests for which he is renowned: in-depth conversations with extraordinary people, and in-the-field segments expressing his curiosity and humor. In each hour-long episode, Letterman will conduct a long-form conversation with a singular guest - and will also explore topics on his own, away from the studio. The series is set to premiere in 2018.

Regarding this announcement, Letterman said:

“I feel excited and lucky to be working on this project for Netflix. Here's what I have learned, if you retire to spend more time with your family, check with your family first. Thanks for watching, drive safely.”

Ted Sarandos, chief content officer at Netflix, had the following to say:

"Just meeting David Letterman was a thrill; imagine how exciting it is for...

Ludacris to Host MTV Revival of Reality Series 'Fear Factor'
Fear Factor (2001)
Ludacris will host an MTV revival of Fear Factor, the reality series staple which forces contestants to confront fears via extreme physical and mental challenges. The updated version is expected to premiere in late May, Variety reports.

Reviving the show is consistent with the broader approach of Viacom, MTV's parent company, in moving toward unscripted programs. The network revived Fear Factor in 2011 for a handful of new episodes, but the series was canceled the following year.

Fear Factor, originally hosted by comedian Joe Rogan, aired between 2001 and 2006 on NBC. The series,...

Ludacris Set To Host MTV Reboot Of Fear Factor

The network has tapped multi-platinum rapper Ludacris to host the series, which I'm all about...although I wouldn't have minded seeing Joe Rogan return to the series as host.

Ronda Rousey may be down, but her new Instagram post hints she’s not out.

The mixed martial artist, 29, has remained silent on social media since her Dec. 30 Tko loss to Amanda Nunes just 48 second into round one at Ufc 207. However, Rousey returned to Instagram on Monday night with a message about rebuilding.

“And so rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life,” the quote by Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling says.

The quote comes from a 2008 commencement address at Harvard that Rowling titled, “The fringe benefits of failure and the importance of imagination.”

It was the third fastest knockout in women's Ufc bantamweight history, and the second consecutive knockout for Rousey, who lost to Holly Holm in 2015. "I stop everybody like that. 8 Reasons Why Mma Fans Shouldn’t Make Fun Of Wrestling
WWE.com

Hardcore Mma fans do not like professional wrestling. Whether it’s because of wrestling’s storylines, gimmicks, or the fact that they perceive wrestling as “fake”, they just don’t appreciate or respect the wrestling industry. Take a scroll through your average Ufc news site or Mma discussion forum in which pro wrestling is mentioned, and see for yourself.

This was never more evident than when Ufc announced the signing of Cm Punk, and the more outspoken members of the Mma community greeted the news with everything from sarcasm and mockery to absolute contempt and hostility.

And it’s not just the fans, the resentment often comes from within the Ufc itself. Analyst and Commentator for the Ufc, Joe Rogan, threw gasoline on the fire during Episode 545 of his “Joe Rogan Experience” when he stated that:

“Wresting is some weird, f***ing thing that strange guys do. They...

Among the attractions is the spooky Frankenstein’s Castle, where a real mad scientist is bringing the monster to life. But when the boys cross paths with the creature (Frank Welker), they soon learn that appearances can be deceiving, and Frankenstein is more misunderstood than malevolent.

Ufc’s Joe Rogan Makes Harsh Comments About Professional Wrestling
wiki

Joe Rogan is perhaps best known as both a stand-up comedian and as the Ufc’s color commentator, alongside Mike Goldberg. Rogan can also be frequently seen conducting post-fight interviews inside the Octagon. However, Rogan has a wealth of professions on his resume — including as a television host, actor, podcaster, and is even a trained Mma fighter, himself.

Recently, Rogan had fellow comedian, Tony Hinchcliffe, on his Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. At one point, Hinchcliffe mentioned that WWE had offered him a one-year contract to join their creative team. Hinchcliffe said he was honored by the offer, as he’s a lifelong wrestling fan, but ultimately turned it down so he could continue his career as a touring stand-up act.

The two then began talking about professional wrestling — or sports entertainment — and its kinship to Ufc and mixed martial arts. Hinchcliffe stated that he believes many Ufc fans were,...

10 Lessons Learned From Ufc 177
Ufc

There wasn’t much to look forward to at Ufc 177, and that was before it lost its main event.

Originally, Renan Barao was expected to get an immediate title rematch against T.J. Dillashaw, after Dillashaw shocked the Mma world in May, upsetting Barao and taking his belt. However, while cutting weight, Barao fell ill, passed out, hit his head in the bath tub, and had to be rushed to hospital. In an interview at the Ufc 177 prelims with Joe Rogan, Barao stated he cuts about 10 kilograms of weight going into the weigh-ins, an awful lot of weight in a short time, though he blamed standing up too fast on the black-out.

With the Barao fight lost, Joe Soto, who has never fought in the Ufc but was a champion in Bellator, steps up on almost zero notice to fight Dillashaw for the belt. He was originally scheduled on the preliminary card.

EA Sports Ufc Review
The road to EA Sports Ufc has been a long and winding one, to say the least. In fact, there was a time where Ufc president Dana White declared that he was “at war” with Electronic Arts over their refusal to make a game and instead took the brand to Thq and Yukes.

While they were toiling away with the Undisputed franchise, EA partnered with rival promotion Strikeforce to make EA Sports Mma. Then, after both Thq and Strikeforce went under, Dana and EA both realized that there was money to be made from the two working together and thus, we ended up here in 2014 with EA Sports Ufc.

In the world of mixed martial arts, the Ufc is a big fish in a medium-sized pond. While the sport may still be growing worldwide, the promotion features its best talent and EA Sports has done a solid job of bringing that to the game.

Ufc 174: Preliminary Card Results
The preliminary card of Ufc 174 started off with a bang Saturday night!

Live from Vancouver, Canada, the Ufc had loaded the preliminary card with local talent, though for a couple of bouts, fighters would be familiar to followers of the Ultimate Fighter reality series. Case in point: Kajan Johnson, a member of team Canada on Tuf Nations who had his jaw obliterated (broken in several places) after a fight with eventual winner Chad Laprise.

Kajan had a ton of good will surrounding him in the Mma community, in part due to the devasting nature of the injury he suffered, and in part because of a coaching contreversy which surrounded his fight on Tuf: Nations Canada vs. Australia. On the show, Canada’s winning ways led to a number of fights between teammates in the cage, which meant the

coaching team had to be split. Johnson wound up with an underpopulated corner,...

Vitor Belfort Admits To Failed Ufc Drug Test
Youtube

It looks like Joe Rogan was right after all. Vitor Belfort has released a statement confirming a failed drug test this past February.

After months of speculation, the Ufc’s Vitor Belfort, set to face Chael Sonnen at Ufc 175 in July pending a hearing with the Nsac, has released a statement via Instagram in which he admits to failing an out of competition drug test earlier this year. The result of the February test, long suspected to have been a failure due to Belfort’s avoidance of the issue, will likely play a key role in whether the fighter will be granted a license to appear at the July event, hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada. The match-up with Sonnen was the result of Belfort’s fellow countryman Wanderlei Silva evading an Nsac drug test earlier this month, something Silva claimed was a misunderstanding stemming from English not being his native language,...

Summer sitcom rewind: 'NewsRadio' - 'The Public Domain/Super Karate Monkey Death Car'
Andy Dick, Dave Foley, Maura Tierney, Khandi Alexander, Phil Hartman, Vicki Lewis, Joe Rogan, and Stephen Root in NewsRadio (1995)
As I announced last week, instead of picking one classic drama season to revisit over the summer, I'm trying an experiment, highlighting different classic sitcom episodes from the past. First up for this summer sitcom rewind: "The Public Domain" and "Super Karate Monkey Death Car," a pair of "NewsRadio" episodes from early in the show's fourth season, coming up just as soon as I have fancy plans, and pants to match... In terms of their status at the time they aired, "NewsRadio" is among the more obscure shows I expect I'll be dealing with this summer. The mid-'90s was a pretty great period for TV comedy: "Seinfeld" at its peak, "The Simpsons" at its peak or close to it, "Frasier" presenting classical excellence each week and each season, "Friends" being a phenomenon, etc., plus other series like "3rd Rock from the Sun" and "The Drew Carey Show" that had...

Latest EA Sports Ufc Trailer Brings The Pain
Though we have learned a lot about EA Sports Ufc over the past few weeks, the gaming giant had strangely been holding off on showcasing actual gameplay footage for the title. However, with just under a month until launch, Electronic Arts has finally released the first raw footage from its upcoming Mma game.

Pitting Lightweight champion Anthony Pettis against Jose Aldo, this first extended look at EA Sports Ufc features all of the typical trappings of an actual fight. Mike Goldberg and Joe Rogan provide commentary and stats on the fighters, while the crowd pumping Bruce Buffer does an excellent job of generating fan excitement for the brawl.

It also doesn’t hurt that EA Sports Ufc looks fantastic from a graphical standpoint. Not only do both Pettis and Aldo look better than ever before, but even Buffer and referee Ives Lavigne truly look like their real-life counter-parts. It’s...

Saturday Night Live (1975)
Recap: Saturday Night Live with Seth Rogen and Ed Sheeran
Saturday Night Live (1975)
It’s almost five years to the day that Seth Rogen last hosted “Saturday Night Live.” (Somewhat amusingly, his “Neighbors” co-star Zac Efron hosted the very next week.) Meanwhile, over the last five episodes, “SNL” itself has survived a rather rocky start to the post-Seth Meyers Era with a string of solid albeit non-classic episodes after the Jim Parsons-hosted debacle. Heading into its final break of the season, it will be interesting to see if the show ends on an upswing or downswing heading into the final stretch of this flawed yet fascinating season. As always, I’ll be liveblogging, assigning grades to each segment. As always, those grades are designed in a lab to make the maximum number of people on the internet angry. They couldn’t possibly be an inherently imperfect way for one person to sum up his or her thoughts about a sketch comedy show in real time.

Best TV Pilots: NewsRadio
NewsRadio Season 1, Episode 1 “Pilot”

Written by Paul Simms

Directed by James Burrows

Aired 3/21/1995 on NBC

Airing as a mid-season replacement after the failure of The Martin Short Show and the Gene Wilder vehicle Something Wilder, it still boggles me to this day that NewsRadio wasn’t more popular in its time. Debuting between Wings and Frasier (two shows it would often be sandwiched between over the years), NewsRadio never achieved the same mainstream penetration as other seminal NBC comedies from the same era, teetering on the edge of cancellation and ending in tragedy, airing a creative but deflated fifth season in the shadow of Phil Hartman’s murder.

Revisiting NewsRadio‘s pilot, it still astounds me the show never took off. Mixing farce with hilarious ironies, the pilot opens with Wnyx’s new news director Dave Nelson (a post-Kidz in the Hall Dave Foley) arriving (approximately) 35 seconds early to...
