Vision Quest is being led by Terry Matalas, who is also directing some episodes. Filming began in March 2025 at Pinewood Studios in London and wrapped in late July. The series will have eight episodes and is based on the Marvel Comics character White Vision, connecting directly to the MCU movies. During a panel at Star Trek Las Vegas, Matalas revealed two big casting updates. Todd Stashwick will play Paladin, and Orla Brady will take on the role of F.R.I.D.A.Y.

4 upcoming fantasy shows we’re way more excited for than the new Harry Potter
Image
The new Harry Potter TV series is one of the most highly anticipated new fantasy adaptations in a very long time for most fans of the genre. I can't say I share that sentiment. While I'm happy for all of the new cast and crew getting new opportunities in the space, the new Harry Potter series is quite low on my list of fantasy shows I'm excited to watch right now!

Unfortunately, there aren't that many big, new, and true fantasy shows in the works right now. It's definitely an interesting time for the genre! Fantasy shows like House of the Dragon and The Rings of Power are performing well right now. Other big shows with fantasy elements, like Stranger Things and Wednesday, are wildly popular as well. And, still, Prime Video just canceled The Wheel of Time in the middle of an epic run. Outside of that, more fantasy...

Fourth Wing fans can finally relax after a promising Amazon update
Image
Fourth Wing is one of the most highly anticipated fantasy TV adaptations in the works right now. Fans can't wait for the upcoming Amazon TV series based on Rebecca Yarros' first book in The Empyrean series.

For the first time in a while, we have an update to share from Amazon about the hit series. While it's not a "here's when Fourth Wing is coming out," you can tell Amazon cares about how fans feel about this series.

In a Deadline interview, Amazon TV boss Vernon Sanders wouldn't share where exactly things stand with Fourth Wing, but he did make a promise to fans.

Here's what Sanders said:

"We don’t have news to report yet, so I won’t be breaking anything here, but we’re hard at work. We love our relationship with Rebecca Yarros, who has been incredible, and we’re going to get this one right.

Agatha All Along season 2 gets a disheartening update
Image
There is no doubt that Jac Schaeffer is one of the reasons Marvel Studios’ shows on Disney Plus went from something experimental to a must-have. She started the run with WandaVision, and everyone fell in love. The show wasn’t just funny; it made people think differently about love and power and what people will do with and for both.

Within WandaVision came Kathryn Hahn’s brilliant performance as the super-powerful and long-living Agatha Harkness. Hahn has been a star forever, but the platform of the Marvel Cinematic Universe brought even more eyes to her incredible talent. As she and her character were so beloved, Marvel greenlit spinoff Agatha All Along with Jac Schaeffer. And, shocking to no one, it was a hit.

Agatha All Along combined phenomenal storytelling with equally as good acting, representation, and songs. It’s no wonder that people want more of it in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kevin Feige Shuts Down WandaVision Mephisto Theory, but Teases Big Plans for Sacha Baron Cohen
Image
A long-held fan rumor about WandaVision has just been debunked. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige recently revealed that Mephisto was never part of any serious talks for the 2021 Disney+ limited series.

During a recent roundtable discussion with Feige for The Fantastic Four: First Steps, Cbr's Sean O'Connell asked the Marvel head about whether the rumors of Mephisto being in WandaVision were true. "He was never part of WandaVision. We've talked about that. Matt (Shakman)'s talked about that. Jac Schaeffer's talked about. He was never part of WandaVision," Feige stated. "But the enthusiasm with which he was theorized on that certainly was cool, and was fun to watch, and he's another character that, pre-mcu, it would have been, 'How do you (do Mephisto)? He's the devil? How do you do that character?' But he's a formative character! He was a big part of Thanos's storyline in the comics.

She-Hulk Scene Stealer Welcomes ‘Crossover’ Between Madisynn and Superman’s Eve Tessmacher
Image
Don’t wait up, Wongers. Madisynn King wants to party with Eve Tessmacher, in what could be the most awaited Marvel/DC crossover since Deadpool/Batman #1.

Who Is Eve Tessmacher?

Coming out of the first wave of showings for James Gunn’s Superman movie, many were abuzz about Sara Sampaio as Eve Tessmacher. Supervillain Lex Luthor’s superfashionable girlfriend is seen forever snapping selfies, and allegedly has “mutant toes” (per Jimmy Olsen’s Caller ID for her) that “look like someone spilled shrimp cocktail on the floor.”

Fourth Wing Author Rebecca Yarros shares disappointing update on the fourth book
Image
Rebecca Yarros disappointed fans on Tuesday with a brief update on the next book in her Empyrean series. After the first three books came out in quick succession, fans wondered if the fourth one would follow a similar timeline. Unfortunately, it will not.

After fans added an "expected" release date of January 2026 on Goodreads for the untitled fourth book, Yarros clarified that the said date was unrealistic. "Let's put this rumor to rest," she wrote on her Instagram Story. "I love you all, but no. That release date is impossible."

Today's a Sad Day for Agatha All Along Fans
Image
The Marvel Cinematic Universe was all but shut out at this year's Emmys. Four years after WandaVision earned some major nominations, Agatha All Along just barely squeezed her way into this year's competition.

While Agatha All Along managed to score three Emmy nominations, the MCU show was completely shunned in all the major categories that WandaVision was nominated for back in 2021, albeit for its respective Limited Series or Anthology categories. Agatha All Along was submitted as a comedy series instead of a limited series by Marvel, leading many to speculate that future seasons may be on the way, which meant that it had tougher competition. Ultimately,Agatha All Along was nominated for Outstanding Fantasy/Sci-Fi Costumes, Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics, and Outstanding Sound Editing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half-Hour).

Created by Jac Schaeffer, Agatha All Along picks up three years after the events of WandaVision, focusing on...

All 3 Fourth Wing books ranked worst to best
Image
The Empyrean series by Rebecca Yarros is one of the biggest book series in the world right now. So far, there are three books in the series: Fourth Wing, Iron Flame, and Onyx Storm. After reading Onyx Storm earlier this year, I thought it'd be a good time to rank all three of The Empyrean books from worst to best.

For those who don't know, The Empyrean series is a romantic fantasy series that tells the story of Violet Sorrengail, a first-year cadet at Navarre's Basgiath War College. Instead of becoming a scribe and assisting in Navarre's security from the library, Violet chooses the path of the dragon rider. As she faces trials and tribulations along the way, Violet also begins falling for the one person in the world she shouldn't be with.

Three books into the series, we're only scratching the surface of how popular it's going to be.

8 fantasy books to read Asap before they get adapted
Image
Avid book readers who like being able to boast they read the book before the movie (or the show) should take heed of the following list, because several notable fantasy novels are receiving adaptations soon! Before Fourth Wing soars onto TV and Percy Jackson braves the Sea of Monsters, make sure you read the novels ahead of time so you understand the author's original creative vision.

With studios snatching up book rights all the time, it can be hard to keep tabs on which projects are actually happening and which get stuck in development hell. Every book on this list has an adaptation that has either finished filming or is in the works.

Agatha All Along Season 2's Chances Just Went Down Considerably
Image
A new update could spell bad news for a potential Agatha All Along Season 2, if more of the series ever were to happen. Kathryn Hahn's spell-binding streaming series debuted on Disney+ in September 2024, picking up the story of Hahn's wicked comic book witch Agatha Harkness following the events of 2021's WandaVision series. With Agatha leaving some pretty glaring narrative threads hanging (particularly when it came to Joe Locke's super-powered Wiccan), it was assumed the show would eventually get a second season. However, that may not be the case.

Agatha All Along showrunner Jac Schaeffer seems to be moving on from the MCU (at least for now), seemingly pushing back any plans for any potential second season of her 2024 Marvel Studios series. Schaeffer made waves after working as showrunner on Marvel's WandaVision series, being given a shot at an enchanting follow-up in the form of Agatha. Now, the...

Marvel Finally Went There with Its ‘Ironheart’ Finale — and a Killer Cameo
Image
[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for Marvel’s “Ironheart” finale.]

Where were you when you first learned about Mephisto?

I was at my parents’ house during Covid, when Marvel began its erratic foray into television with the powerful “WandaVision.” In Marvel Comics, Mephisto is literally the devil; he crops up with various heroes and villains across the comics under thin aliases (Beelzebub? who could that be?), leaving his mark on the lives of everyone from Spider-Man to Doctor Strange, and more. He’s connected to Scarlet Witch through her sons, who were introduced in Jac Schaeffer’s Emmy-winning series.

And as the world Wanda (Elisabeth Olsen) built around herself started to fracture, fans thought the devil was in the details — but he never broke through. Eager theorists tabled their disappointment (easy to do when Kathryn Hahn is the one guiding you into the unknown) with the hope that Mephisto would pop up in the upcoming slate of films and shows.

Fourth Wing TV series eyes WandaVision creator as showrunner
Image
Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling fantasy-romance novel Fourth Wing is being made into a TV show at Amazon MGM Studios, and esteemed Marvel showrunner Jac Schaeffer is being tapped to become showrunner!

Fourth Wing became a breakout fantasy novel in 2023, thanks largely to exploding in popularity on TikTok. A fantasy series leaning heavily into romance, the novel follows Violet Sorrengail, a young woman forced to enter a war college, Basgiath, where she vies to become a dragon rider...but in order to do so, it takes brutal training that could easily result in death.

Rebecca Yarros is not messing around with these books, collectively known as The Empyrean series. She's already published an enormous sequel, Iron Flame, and the third novel, Onyx Storm, debuted earlier this year. The series is planned to last for five books. There's already so much story for an adaptation to cover.

As for Amazon's adaptation, it is...

One Of Amazon's Best Upcoming Wheel Of Time Fantasy Replacements Just Got A Massively Disappointing Update
Image
Amazon's best replacement for The Wheel of Time has suffered a major setback in the development phase. Earlier this year, The Wheel of Time, based on the bestselling epic fantasy book series by Robert Jordan (finished by Brandon Sanderson), was surprisingly canceled after season 3, despite the latest outing's major storytelling improvements and high ratings from audiences and critics alike.

Sadly, The Wheel of Time never managed to overcome the growing pains of its first season, and Amazon canceled the show due to low viewership. Naturally, Amazon Prime Video is now looking to get the ball rolling on another fantasy series, one which has the potential to become a much bigger hit: Fourth Wing, based on Rebecca Yarros' mega-selling Empyrean romantasy series.

Fourth Wing follows 20-year-old prospective student Violet Sorrengail as she enters Basgiath War College, a competitive, do-or-die setting in which hopeful cadets prepare themselves to be magically bonded to...

Who Is [Spoiler]? The Latest Big Marvel Reveal Explained
Image
Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Marvel’s Ironheart and Agatha All Along.

It was Mephisto all along!

Sacha Baron Cohen’s Mephisto makes his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in final episode of Ironheart, and fans have been waiting for this character to arrive for quite some time. While some speculated he may make an appearance in Agatha All Along, theories about his eventual introduction into the MCU have been picking up steam since WandaVision.

In Ironheart, we learn that Parker Robbins (Anthony Ramos) aka The Hood has been slowly corrupted by the red cape he wears throughout the six-episode series. It’s not until the finale that we understand why. As it turns out, the cape was imbued with its nefarious powers by Mephisto. He visits Parker in the final episode and, eventually, strikes a deal with Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne) to combine her genius with his magic.

Fourth Wing series gets one step closer to green light after eyeing new showrunner
Image
The highly anticipated series adaptation of Rebecca Yarros' best-selling new adult fantasy romance novel Fourth Wing hasn't had a significant update in quite some time, but we finally have some exciting news to share with fans awaiting their chance to binge-watch. Filming hasn't started just yet, but we're once step closer to the show moving forward after gaining a rumored new showrunner.

Last summer, Netflix's Anne with an E creator Moira Walley-Beckett was named the showrunner if the in-the-works Fourth Wing series adaptation. But on July 1, news broke that Walley-Beckett has departed the developing series as Amazon MGM Studios pursues a new showrunner. The rumored new showrunner is someone who fans of Marvel Television shows will be very familiar with.

Amazon's Fourth Wing series scores new showrunner

According to Deadline, WandaVision and Agatha All Along creator and showrunner Jac Schaeffer has entered talks to take over as showrunner on the Fourth Wing series.

Amazon’s ‘Fourth Wing’ Loses Showrunner Moira Walley-Beckett, Jac Schaeffer Eyed for Adaptation
Image
Amazon MGM Studio’s “Fourth Wing” series lost its showrunner, according to multiple media reports. Moira Walley-Beckett, known for creating Netflix’s “Anne with an E” and for being one of the writers on “Breaking Bad,” stepped away from the project after previously signing on last July. “Agatha All Along” and “WandaVision” creator Jac Schaeffer is now reportedly eyeing the project.

The project does not currently have a series order from Amazon or a cast attached.

Schaeffer’s rumored involvement comes as she’s reportedly signed a deal with the studio. She’s also not the only one who has been added to the project. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Amazon MGM Studios-based Kilter Films, which has been behind series like “Fallout” and “The Peripheral,” has joined the project alongside Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. Outlier has been part of the “Fourth Wing” adaptation since Amazon MGM...

Prime Video's Latest Epic Fantasy TV Adaptation Taps a New Showrunner Following 'Wheel of Time's Cancellation
Image
Rebecca Yarros' Fourth Wing is becoming one of the most buzzed-about romantasy series of the decade — and now the Amazon adaptation is officially in excellent hands. According to a Deadline report, Jac Schaeffer, the Emmy-nominated creator of WandaVision and Agatha All Along, is now set to serve as showrunner, executive producer, and writer on Fourth Wing.

Schaeffer joins the project as part of her new overall deal with Amazon MGM Studios. She replaces Moira Walley-Beckett, who initially boarded the show last summer. In another major move, Fallout producers Kilter Films (led by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy) have now joined Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society as production partners. So they all seriously mean business.

Adapted from Yarros’ globally beloved Empyrean book series, Fourth Wing tells the story of 20-year-old Violet Sorrengail, who is forced to abandon her quiet life as a Scribe and enter the deadly Basgiath War College...

Moira Walley-Beckett Out as ‘Fourth Wing’ Showrunner
Image
Moira Walley-Beckett is out as showrunner of Amazon’s planned Fourth Wing adaptation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

WandaVision and Agatha All Along creator Jac Schaeffer has signed a deal with Amazon MGM Studios, and is being eyed to replace Walley-Beckett as Fourth Wing showrunner. The Fourth Wing TV project hails from Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society.

Schaeffer also wrote the Black Widow movie.

Walley-Beckett was a Breaking Bad writer and producer — she wrote “Ozymandias,” as well as a bunch of other episodes — and she created the series Anne With an E. She also wrote the Flesh and Bone miniseries and penned three episodes of NBC’s highly anticipated flameout Pan Am. Walley-Beckett signed on to showrun Amazon’s Fourth Wing last summer; Fourth Wing has not yet been ordered to series and does not yet have a cast attached.

Amazon's Long-Gestating Fourth Wing Series Gets an Exciting Update
Image
A major update has been revealed about the upcoming Fourth Wing series that's in development at Amazon MGM Studios. Amazon’s ‘Fourth Wing’ TV Series Showrunner Moira Walley-Beckett Exits
Image
“Anne With an E” creator and “Breaking Bad” writer Moira Walley-Beckett has exited Amazon’s TV series adaptation of “Fourth Wing” after signing on as showrunner last July, Variety has learned.

First put into development in October 2023, the “Fourth Wing” TV series hails from Amazon MGM Studios and Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society. The “Fourth Wing” TV series has not yet been ordered to series and does not have a cast attached to the project.

According to sources close to the project, “Agatha All Along” and “WandaVision” creator Jac Schaeffer is among multiple names being considered to take over as the “Fourth Wing” showrunner after signing a development deal with Amazon MGM Studios.

Based on the best-selling romantasy book series from author Rebecca Yarros, dubbed “The Empyrean” novels, “Fourth Wing” is set inside the brutal world of Basgiath War College, where there is only one rule: graduate or Die.

‘Fourth Wing’: Jac Schaeffer Eyed As New Showrunner, Inks Deal With Amazon MGM Studios As Moira Walley-Beckett Departs Series
Image
Exclusive Updated: Amazon MGM Studios’ adaptation of Rebecca Yarros’ bestselling novel Fourth Wing may be getting a big-name new showrunner. Agatha All Along and WandaVision creator Jac Schaeffer has signed a deal with the studio and is also in discussions to board the high-profile romantic fantasy series project as writer, executive producer and showrunner, sources tell Deadline.

She would succeed Moira Walley-Beckett who recently left after being tapped to pen the adaptation last July. According to sources, Schaeffer is among the top names in consideration for the job, with no showrunner decision made yet.

There also has been an addition to the Fourth Wing producing team as Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy’s Amazon MGM Studios-based Kilter Films has joined Michael B. Jordan’s Outlier Society, which had been on board since Amazon MGM Studios secured the rights to The Empyrean book series in 2023, along with Premediated Productions.

Agatha All Along Concept Art Reveals Alternate Designs For Aubrey Plaza's Death And Joe Locke's Wiccan
Image
Marvel's Agatha All Along introduced two powerful new characters who are sure to play significant roles in the magical/supernatural corner of the MCU down the line. A mysterious "Teen" (Joe Locke) who was confirmed to be Wanda Maximoff's (Elizabeth Olsen) son Billy Kaplan/Wiccan in the season finale (though it was one of the worst-kept secrets in the MCU), and the personification of Lady Death herself (Aubrey Plaza).

We've seen some early concept art for Wiccan and Death already, and we now have some more alternate designs from the recently-released Art of the Series book.

The costumes both characters ended up wearing in the show were arguably more comic-accurate than anything seen in this artwork, but there are some interesting looks here.

From Wandavision To Ironheart - Every Live-Action MCU TV Show Ranked According To Rotten Tomatoes
Image
Love or hate it, Rotten Tomatoes remains an important tool in helping many moviegoers decide whether to check out the latest releases in theaters. In recent years, it's become every bit as important for TV shows, especially when streaming has led to countless platforms vying for subscribers.

Marvel Studios' first foray into television was with WandaVision and The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in 2021. Since then, the likes of Loki, Moon Knight, Daredevil: Born Again, Hawkeye, and - most recently - Ironheart have all followed.

In terms of both live-action and animation, we've seen Marvel Studios prove that a movie studio can't make the leap to streaming without at least a few hiccups. For the most part, the McU's TV shows have been well-received, meaning their respective Rotten Tomatoes scores are surprisingly close (with a few ties).

Now the reviews for Ironheart are in, we're kicking off the weekend with...

Fan-favorite Marvel show officially cancelled; no new episodes coming
Image
Unfortunately, the rumors were seemingly true. After weeks of speculation from fans about a particular beloved Marvel series' future on the Disney Plus streaming service, it has been confirmed that there are no new episodes of the series expected at this time.

Marvel Studios has been restructuring its film and television release plans, meaning that some intended titles are no longer expected to release. This came after the underperformances of various Marvel Cinematic Universe projects, including films Eternals, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and The Marvels - all of which have reportedly had planned sequels cancelled - and Disney Plus shows She-Hulk: Attorney At Law and Ms. Marvel - which have also reportedly had planned second seasons nixed.

Now, it seems that we can officially add another beloved title to that list, as a major source has confirmed that Marvel and Disney Plus have officially stopped producing new episodes of it.

From ‘Agatha All Along’ to ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’: TV Witches Cast a Spell on Viewers
Image
From Samantha Stephens on “Bewitched” to Sabrina Spellman on “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” the concept of a TV show about witches is an old (pointed) hat. And it’s not a trend that will soon disappear, if there’s any indication from buzzy shows like the upcoming “Harry Potter” TV series on HBO and the second season of Netflix’s “Wednesday.”

But our historical depictions of witches and interpretations of the pagan beliefs are both steeped in arts and culture. And this means they come with good, bad and even conflicting tropes. When developing a TV show, it’s often up to the creators and their creative teams to decide which way something wiccan is coming for their projects.

How ‘Agatha All Along’ Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez & Robert Lopez Built A History For “The Ballad Of The Witches’ Road”
Image
After their Oscar-winning Frozen song “Let It Go,” husband and wife team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are used to their songs becoming part of pop culture. But with Agatha All Along, for which they wrote “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road,” things became a bit more surreal. “They ended up naming the show after our song from WandaVision, and then each episode of the show was named after lyrics from the ballad,” says Lopez. “It’s the most composer service I’ve ever seen.”

Not only did they need to come up with a song for the new series, they had to write it in eight different styles, from ancient folk to ’70s-style pop. “We wrote the ’70s version first, but it had to feel like a hit and have a love song element to it,” says Anderson-Lopez. “Then we could peel back the layers as we wrote different iterations,...

MCU Actor Kerry Condon Denies 'Vision Quest' Casting Rumors

One long-rumored cast member of the upcoming Vision Quest series may not be a part of the series after all. The project has been in development since October 2022 and is the second spin-off of WandaVision, which premiered in 2021. The first spin-off, released last year, was Agatha All Along, starring Kathryn Hahn. The show will pick up Vision's story from WandaVision, in which he fought a version of himself that helped him to restore his memories after being used as a weapon by S.W.O.R.D. With its central premise surrounding artificial intelligence, a rumor had been circulating that Kerry Condon, who voices F.R.I.D.A.Y. (Iron Man's AI), will get a body of their own in the series. Now, Condon herself has commented on the possibility.

While speaking to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet for F1, Condon said that she'd read the reports about her playing a human version...

Beloved Marvel series quietly axed by Disney Plus
Image
Marvel Studios made a major impression when it first launched its Marvel Cinematic Universe TV shows on Disney Plus. The biggest blockbuster franchise in Hollywood history brought its larger-than-life presence to the small screen in 2021 with WandaVision, earning itself Emmy wins (and plenty more nominations), while also entertaining viewers with popular offerings like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If...?, and Hawkeye.

However, there were some missteps on both the TV and movie side of things that resulted in the studio having to pare back its approach on the small screen and the silver one. And with that, reports surfaced of some projects being either shelved or cancelled while others were delayed to ensure that they would be as perfect as possible when they were released into the world.

The reports and rumors will likely just remain rumors until Marvel confirms otherwise, but there is one project that...

Rumor: Vision TV Series Is Using Human Versions Of The McU's AIs For A Very Surprising Reason - Spoilers
Image
Very little is known about what Marvel Studios has planned for its upcoming Vision TV series. However, we have good reason to believe it will revolve around the former Avenger encountering "human" versions of the McU's AIs.

We have no clue how that happens; the show may take place in the android's mind, or we could see him build them all human-like bodies. Either way, it's an intriguing premise.

Further complicating matters, of course, is that we don't exactly know what this White Vision is after he lost the Mind Stone and had his memories restored by the Hex Vision. Fans have long theorised that Vision didn't really kill Ultron at the end of 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron, so he may also be orchestrating this whole thing.

Scooper Daniel Richtman has proven himself a reliable source for Vision intel, and he's just shared a big update on plans for the WandaVision follow-up.

'Agatha All Along's Kathryn Hahn Reveals How She Took Method Acting to a Wholesome New Level
Image
The Disney+ series Agatha All Alonggave depth to Kathryn Hahn's Agatha Harkness. Hahn has talked at length about her connection to the Marvel antagonist, and now, she's revealing a completely incidental and deeply personal connection to the character. During Variety's Actors on Actors opposite her How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days co-star Kate Hudson, Hahn revealed a gesture from her family that connected her immeasurably more to the witch. Hudson asked, "What’s your touchstone for Agatha? I always have this thing where I have a key if I lose sight of my character." Hahn revealed:

"Agatha wears this locket around her neck with Hecate — the maiden, mother, crone. It’s like women are all things all the time. Agatha has a piece of her son’s hair in the locket. Just before I shot, because I was going to be gone for a while, my family...

Agatha All Along Concept Art Reveals Alternate Costumes For Death, Wiccan, Ghost Agatha, And More
Image
Agatha: The Art of the Series is now on sale, and thanks to The Artbook Collector, we can take a look inside the book and see the many alternate costumes considered for Agatha All Along's leads.

As you'll see in the video below, several different designs were considered for Wiccan's costume. However, Marvel Studios' artists got really experimental with Death, considering some fantastical designs and others more in line with what we've seen in the comics over the years.

Then, there's Ghost Agatha, Agatha Harkness' new form after she sacrificed herself to save Billy Maximoff.

Agatha All Along strongly hinted at a romance between her and Rio Vidal/Death. They locked lips in the penultimate episode, but there was some disappointment over how the relationship was handled on screen. Marvel Studios is struggling to portray its LGBTQ characters in an authentic manner, but showrunner Jac Schaeffer has confirmed the intention...

‘Agatha All Along’: A Behind the Scenes Look at Crafting the Original Song ‘The Ballad of the Witches’ Road’ | How I Did It
Image
If there was one thing that Jac Schaeffer always knew was going to be part of the witches’ brew that became “Agatha All Along,” it was music. The showrunner had a lot of different ideas on what form that could take, but in the end, it became “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” — and crafting the song was a delicate process.

Of course, Schaeffer knew that songwriters Bobby Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez were the people she needed to call first. The trio had previously worked together on “WandaVision,” Marvel’s first series on Disney+, which also happened to introduce Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. They did so with another hit song called “Agatha All Along,” which earned a Grammy nomination.

But “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road” required a whole lot more lore in its lyrics.

“When we first got the job, Jac gave us a list of things that...

Disney+ Marvel series Vision finds its E.D.I.T.H. in Schitt's Creek star Emily Hampshire
Image
Schitt’s Creek star Emily Hampshire has been cast in Marvel’s upcoming Vision series. She is set to play a key role in the Disney+ show alongside Paul Bettany, who reprises his role from WandaVision.

Emily Hampshire is known for playing Stevie Budd in Schitt’s Creek, but she has also starred in Chapelwaithe and more recently Prime’s thriller The Rig.

According to Deadline, Hampshire is set to play E.D.I.T.H., Tony Stark’s augmented reality security and defense system. This system was created by Stark and given to Peter Parker after his death as it offered access to global satellites and an arsenal of drones and missiles.

Hampshire will star alongside James Spader, who is set to reprise his role as Ultron, and Faran Tahir, who is returning as Raza after almost two decades. Newcomers to the MCU include T’Nia Miller, who has been confirmed to...

Marvel casts game-changing character for upcoming MCU project
Image
Vision Quest is the second spinoff series of WandaVision after Agatha All Along and it's going to be a tall task to try and match those critically-acclaimed standards, but the Marvel Television series is going to try. With a 2026 release, the new Disney Plus series will feature Emmy nominee Paul Bettany reprising his role as as Vision/White Vision and 3x Emmy winner James Spader will also reprise his Avengers: Age of Ultron role as Ultron.

Written and illustrated by John Byrne, the "Vision Quest" storyline in Marvel Comics took place in issues No. 42-45 of West Coast Avengers. This 1989 comic focused on the government dismantling of Vision because of concerns of his ability to control global computer systems. When Vision was rebuilt, he returned as White Vision, but he was stripped of emotions and his former personality. Additionally, Wanda (Scarlet Witch) was devastated by White Vision, and she was...

Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez on how the ‘Agatha All Along’ cast ‘became a coven’ when recording ‘The Ballad of the Witches’ Road’
Image
When it came to Agatha All Along , it was the songwriters who may have cast the most tantalizing spell.

"The crew was telling us, 'I don't usually say this to songwriters, but wow, I had hairs standing up on the back of my neck,'" Robert Lopez says of the reactions to the cast recording the show's haunting song "The Ballad of the Witches' Road." As the double-egot winner's multiple award-winning partner and spouse Kristen Anderson-Lopez tells Gold Derby, "When Agatha got a spin-off, [creator Jac Schaeffer] knew instantly that she wanted it to be based around a song, and built it into the very fundamental architecture of the show, which was a huge gift to us. We would work with her for the rest of our career if we could, because she understands music and it gave us this chance to do this thing that we love." (Watch our full interview above.

Vision Reportedly Adds Human Version Of Spider-man: Far From Home's E.D.I.T.H. And The Role Has Been Recast
Image
Marvel Television's Vision/Vision Quest TV series will pick up where WandaVision left off, but the project, overseen by showrunner Terry Matalas, is shaping up to be unlike anything we expected.

"Human" versions of several MCU androids and AIs have been cast, and according to insider Daniel Richtman, Emily Hampshire will play the physical manifestation of E.D.I.T.H. He broke the news that T'Nia Miller will play Vision's Jocasta yesterday, with the trades confirming it a few hours later, so you shouldn't dismiss this rumour.

Dawn Michelle King voiced E.D.I.T.H. in 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home. However, she's not an on-screen actress and is best known for her work as an editor on movies like Ant-Man, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Mortal Kombat. It makes sense, then, for the role to be recast.

Hampshire worked with Matalas on 12 Monkeys and is also known...

See the Tricks ‘Agatha All Along’ Used to Walk the Witches’ Road
Image
Part of what makes “Agatha All Along” an interesting character study is picking up with Agatha Harkness (Kathryn Hahn) when she’s lost her power and seeing just what she’ll do to get it back, especially when she needs others. Specifically, she needs a group of other witches — and one familiar teen (Joe Locke) — to walk with her down the Witches’ Road, a magical, constructed path, of a sort, that offers deadly trials to those who summon it but also power and the fulfillment of desire to those that survive to its end.

Assembling a creative coven for the Disney+ miniseries wasn’t nearly so difficult for showrunner, writer, and director Jac Schaeffer as it is for her main character. “ We’re doing TV, we’re doing music, we’re doing film. We’re doing different eras. We’re doing different tones. And my true north became witches,” Schaeffer told IndieWire.

Image
Welcome to Pour One Out! In this series, IndieWire celebrates some of our favorite characters on TV that have come to the end of their run this season, with the stars that played them.

[Editor’s Note: The following review contains spoilers for “Agatha All Along.”]

Despite the stirring send-off for her clairvoyant character Lilia Calderu in the seventh episode of “Agatha All Along” on Disney+, Grammy and Tony winner Patti LuPone is not quite ready to say goodbye to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “As I said, we didn’t see her land,” she tells IndieWire over breakfast in Beverly Hills. “I told Kevin Feige what he should do is in every Marvel film, in the corner of the film, you should see Lilia falling.”

Going all the way back to when she was cast in the “WandaVision” follow up, LuPone remembers feeling like the role was the work of cosmic timing. “It was really, really bizarre. I had...

The upcoming Avengers: Doomsday boasts a massive starcast with not only the return of familiar MCU heroes, but also the Og X-Men stars. According to the latest reports, another superhero, who played a notable role in Agatha All Along, Wiccan, can also appear in Avengers: Doomsday.

Since the very start, many fans have been doubtful about the return of characters related to Scarlet Witch’s story in Avengers: Doomsday. Besides Elizabeth Olsen herself, Kathryn Hahn’s comeback as Agatha Harkness is also shrouded in mystery. But as per a recent report, Wiccan, aka Billy, has a chance to join the other big names in the 2026 Marvel behemoth.

Even more surprising, MCU fans welcomed it with open arms! Sure, not everyone was on board, and the show has faced its share of criticism, but most people agree on one thing: Kathryn Hahn’s magical performance as Agatha stole the show.

‘Lilia, oh Lilia!’ Patti LuPone on her ‘Agatha All Along’ witch and ‘getting in trouble’ for spoiling Marvel secrets
Image
Patti LuPone recently joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Disney+'s Agatha All Along, in which she plays a 450-year-old Sicilian witch named Lilia Calderu. "Lilia, oh Lilia! Will you be my Lilia? Oh Lilia, the tattooed lady!" LuPone exclaims in a sing-song manner during her recent sit-down with Gold Derby, demonstrating her passion for talking about this character. "Lilia Calderu, yeah. I didn't have an accent in this one. You'd think I would have."

The three-time Tony winner for Evita, Gypsy, and Company readily admits she knew "absolutely nothing" about the MCU before signing on to the project, which also stars Kathryn Hahn (reprising her Emmy-nominated role from WandaVision), Joe Locke, Aubrey Plaza, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Debra Jo Rupp. "I don't know a lot about nothing. That's how I live my life," she chuckles. "When we were shooting this, I don't think any of us felt as...
