Winning Time explores the backstory of Pat Riley's father, Lee Riley, a former baseball player and manager in the Minor Leagues for over two decades. Lee Riley's career came to an end in 1952 when the Philadelphia Phillies downsized their farm system and he lost his managing job as a result. Despite his impressive career in the Minor Leagues with over 234 home runs and 2400 hits, Lee Riley felt a sense of failure after being let go from his longtime position, which had an impact on Pat Riley's motivation as a coach for the Lakers.
HBO's Winning Time: The Rise of The Lakers Dynasty depicts the unlikely rise of Pat Riley (Adrien Brody) as the head coach of the 1981-82 Los Angeles Lakers. Riley would go on to lead the Showtime Lakers to an NBA Title in his first season after taking over for Paul Westhead, the ideological leader of the 1980 Championship team.

The stars of Gogglebox were left in tears watching Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
During Friday (23 September) night’s episode of the Channel 4 show, the households across the UK tuned in to see the monarch be laid to rest at Westminster Abbey on Monday (19 September).
Preparing themselves for an emotional viewing, Lee Riley was shown handing his friend Jenny Newby two boxes of tissues.
Mary Wood, meanwhile, commented that King Charles looked “waxen with grief”.
“No matter how old your parents are, it’s never going to be easy, is it?” Lee Sandiford said to his sister Sophie.
The Gogglebox stars then said that they were “moved” by the sound of the choir.
“I don’t know if I am a royalist, but it’s very moving, isn’t it, to just look at them even just as a family,” Sophie commented.
“Everybody really is doing her proud today,...
