This marks the first Emmy win for Lady Gaga, who is now just a Tony away from Egot. Spielberg has previously won seven Daytime Emmys, four-time Primetime Emmys, and one International Emmy.

Lady Gaga's victory came in the Outstanding Music Direction category as a producer of "Hold My Hand" ahead of Super Bowl Lix — a tribute to victims of the New Orleans terror attack on New Year's Eve. Spielberg won a pair — for producing and writing the "Land of Stories" opening of the 2024 Summer Olympics.

NBC/Peacock’s coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics received 10 wins, including Outstanding Live Special Championship Event. Outstanding Personality winners included Charles Barkley (TNT) for studio analyst, Peyton Manning (ESPN2) for event analyst, and Joe Davis (Fox) for play-by-play.

On Sunday, Fox announced that Curt Menefee, the network’s longtime host of Fox NFL Sunday, would add co-anchor duties on Good Day New York, the weekday morning show on Wnyw channel 5, Fox’s New York station.

Menefee will join longtime co-anchor Rosanna Scotto on the program, which airs from 7 to 10 a.m. Fox says that during the NFL season, Menefee will only host Tuesday through Friday to accommodate his NFL studio show commitment. He starts Jan. 16.

Fox Sports used its Super Bowl platform Sunday to break some news among the ads and pregame hype: New York Yankees Hall of Fame shortstop Derek Jeter is joining the MLB on Fox team for the 2023 season.

MLB on Fox regular Alex Rodriguez helped make the announcement on the Fox pregame set today in Glendale, Az. Rodriguez and Jeter played together on the Yankees from 2004 until Jeter’s retirement in 2014, winning a World Series title together in 2009.

Super Bowl Lvii pitting the AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs and the NFC champs the Philadelphia Eagles is Sunday, February 12 in Glendale, Az, with kickoff set for 6:30 p.m. Et/3:30 p.m. Pt on Fox and in Spanish on Fox Deportes, with the game also available on FoxSports.com and the Fox Sports app.

It will mark the 10th Super Bowl broadcast for Fox Sports. Terry Bradshaw made a big personal announcement on Sunday’s edition of “Fox NFL Sunday”, responding to fan queries after he became visibly short of breath during last week’s pre-game show.

“Last week on this show, I ran out of breath, and Howie [Long] helped me up. And a lot of people are asking what’s wrong with me, what’s happened to me physically. I just want to address it and let you know what has happened in my life,” Bradshaw said at the top of the show.

“In November, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I went to the Yale University Medical Center — surgery, treatment. As of today, I am bladder-cancer free. That’s the good news,” he revealed.

America's Top Dog is getting ready for its second and third seasons on A&e after a year away from the small screen. Broadcaster Curt Menefee and actor David Koechner are covering the canine competition while Rachel Bonnetta reports from the sidelines.

PBS’ Masterpiece and BritBox UK have renewed “Sanditon” for second and third seasons.

The critically acclaimed drama series based on Jane Austen’s final, unfinished novel will premiere on BritBox and later air on ITV.

Season 2 of “Sanditon” will continue to follow heroine Charlotte Heywood as she returns to the coastal resort of Sanditon and engages in intriguing and romantic relationships with familiar and new characters.

“Sanditon” will begin filming later this year in and around Bristol, and casting will be announced in the future.

Justin Young, who wrote four episodes of Season 1, will develop the new seasons, serving as lead writer and executive producer. Andrew Davies, who originally created the show, will return as a writer and executive producer.

Charles Sturridge is lead director, Rebecca Hedderly serves as series producer and Ian Hogan produces. Executive producers are Belinda Campbell for Red Planet Pictures, Susanne Simpson for Masterpiece and Chloe Tucker for ITV/BritBox.

The casts of Fox Sports’ pregame shows, “Fox NFL Sunday” and “Fox NFL Kickoff” will not appear in Fox’s Los Angeles studios today due to concerns regarding Covid-19.

Instead, Chris Myers will host both shows, with analysts Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush also in-studio. Regular “Fox NFL Sunday” cast members Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Michael Strahan and Jay Glazer will call in to the show remotely. “Fox NFL Kickoff” cast members Charissa Thompson, Tony Gonzalez, Mike Vick, Dave Wannstedt and Colin Cowherd will also not be in the studio.

The Fox NFL Sunday cast has been removed from its usual studio pregame show today over Covid-19 concerns, Fox Sports announced.

Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw and Michael Strahan were swapped for Chris Myers, Charles Woodson and Reggie Bush. Fox said some of the replaced regular crew “will appear via remote.”

“In accordance with CDC guidance, Los Angeles County Department of Public Health safety guidelines — and out of an abundance of caution for our team — Sunday’s Fox NFL Kickoff and Fox NFL Sunday pregame shows from our Los Angeles studio will not include their regular casts,” Fox said in a statement.

The network did not say what caused the move, or whether anyone had caught the coronavirus.

The company will represent the pair, whose E! reality series was recently renewed for a sixth season.

A+E Networks’ canine competition America’s Top Dog has been optioned in the UK and Ireland by Two Rivers Media.

America’s Top Dog premiered last year on A&E in the U.S., with four police K9 teams competing against a civilian team on a big obstacle course each episode for the title of Top Dog. The show was created by MGM’s Big Fish Entertainment and hosted by Fox NFL Sunday‘s Curt Menefee and former Secret Service member Nick White.

Sherman’s Showcase is returning to IFC for an hour-long Black History Month Spectacular special this summer. The special was announced Thursday during AMC Networks’ presentation at the TCA winter press tour.

Created by and starring former Late Night with Jimmy Fallon writers Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin, the special will feature more sketches, A-list guest stars, and original hit, award-winning songs, according to IFC.

Said Blake Callaway, executive director of IFC and SundanceTV: “Who decided that Black History only gets one month, and a cold one at that? We can’t wait to see what Diallo and Bashir have created to kick off the summer. This one-hour spectacular will celebrate black excellence no matter what month it airs.”

As the NFL regular season nears the midway point, the revived Xfl has revealed its inaugural 2020 schedule of games on Fox, ABC, ESPN, ESPN 2, FS1 and FS2. Have a look below.

The upstart pro football league — which has been resurrected by WWE chief Vince McMahon as a bid to satisfy year-round viewer appetite for football — will kick off on Saturday, February 8, with an early game matching the Seattle Dragons and DC Defenders on ABC, followed at 5 p.m. Et/2 Pt by the Los Angeles Wildcats at the Houston Roughnecks on Fox. Regular-season games will continue on Saturdays and Sundays through April 12, followed by the division finals on April 19 — East on Fox and West on ESPN — and the Xfl Championship on April 26 on ESPN.

Fox also will have primetime Thursday night game (8 p.m. Et) for the final two weeks of the year.

Another NFL season brings with it another attempt to kick off a national spring football league in the months that follow. But a spring football league slated to launch next year will debut with significant media firepower behind it.

The Xfl, the nascent football league controlled by professional-wrestling impresario Vince McMahon, will debut in February of next year with a good chunk of games that are slated to air on two of TV’s most watched networks, Fox and ABC. In all, 25 games will air on national broadcast, the Xfl said Tuesday, with others slated to air on ESPN and ESPN2, which, like ABC, are controlled by Walt Disney Co. The eight-team league will play a ten-week season.

Fox has already committed an on-air team consisting of Curt Menefee, a veteran of the booth. and Joel Klatt, its lead college football analyst. ABC’s team will be named at a later date.

In the tradition and style of IFC’s sublime “Documentary Now!” parody series, the bizarre allure of “Sherman’s Showcase” is that it’s a spoof that takes itself seriously. The IFC series from Diallo Riddle and Bashir Salahuddin is sneering in tone, wringing out the absurdities to be found in classic shows like “Soul Train” and “Solid Gold,” even as it goes to great lengths to imitate their style. Satirizing a format the creators clearly love, the series is so obviously a passion project – a fanboy costume party that celebrates a legendary, even if fictional, TV program’s history.

A variety show in the purest sense of the word, “Sherman’s Showcase” is structured as a series of infomercials – running from a few seconds to several minutes in length – for a 23-disc DVD compilation of a 40-year-old music variety show, hosted by Salahuddin’s egotistical and maybe even slightly shady Sherman McDaniel.
