The Lifetime movie Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story tells the harrowing story inspired by real events in Austin, Texas. In 2022, up-and-coming cyclist Moriah “Mo” Wilson was found shot dead in her home, with suspicion quickly falling on Kaitlin Armstrong. Armstrong had been in an on-again, off-again relationship with fellow cyclist Colin Strickland but grew increasingly jealous as he bonded with the younger Wilson.

Portrayed by Caity Lotz, Armstrong is a yoga instructor balancing a tumultuous personal life with her career. Her hopes of settling down with boyfriend Strickland, played by Kyle Schmid, are threatened by his growing closeness with newcomer Wilson, portrayed sympathetically by Larissa Dias. As Strickland backtracks on commitments to Armstrong, her envy and insecurity spiral out of control. When she discovers the two together, in a horrifying act, Armstrong takes Wilson’s life.

The film unpacks Armstrong’s volatile mental state and the toxic factors fueling her obsession.

Tiger Style Media is partnering with Paramount‘s Republic Pictures for old-school-style martial arts double feature releases. The first two of the four films released this month are Art of Eight Limbs and The Lockdown. Art of Eight Limbs stars Ludi Lin, who plays Liu Kang in 2021’s Mortal Kombat and the upcoming Mortal Kombat 2. The trailer will likely give viewers some déjà vu as the plot of infiltrating a martial arts tournament led by a criminal comes straight from Bruce Lee’s famous film Enter the Dragon. However, mix it in with some Muay Thai action and it’s a cocktail for some martial arts mayhem.

The official synopsis reads,

“In this action-packed thriller from a producer of Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, Ludi Lin stars as a CIA data analyst and part-time kickboxer. Sent on a mission to Myanmar, he must infiltrate a martial arts tournament...

DC has a long history of creating complex and multidimensional characters, and some of these villains have even found redemption and fought alongside the heroes. Captain Cold in the Arrowverse starts as a villain but eventually redeems himself and becomes a member of the Legends of Tomorrow team. The Suicide Squad are villains recruited to a mission for the goverment who end up choosing to do the right thing and save the world.

The DC Universe has introduced many iconic villains to the worlds of its heroes, and many of these have even helped fight greater threats. With some DC villains more effective in shows than movies and vice versa, there is an enormous library of exceptional characters performing horrible deeds. Villains like Joker have grown to become arguably as famous as many of the heroes, with Joker: Folie Deux's impending release set to make that movie one of the biggest of the year.

The Arrowverse has plenty of talented actors that could join James Gunn's DC Universe. Gunn wants to work with The Flash star Grant Gustin. Legacy castings like Tyler Hoechlin as Jor-El or Melissa Benoist as Power Girl could be options for the Dcu.

With the Arrowverse over after more than a decade, stars from the TV franchise could make the jump to film in James Gunn's DC Universe. The Arrowverse's shows kept DC going in live-action when the Dceu left much to be desired in the movie side. While the DC TV universe did have issues over the years, the franchise will be mostly remembered with fondness, as the Arrowverse showed that a shared DC universe in live-action was possible.

Crossover events like Crisis on Infinite Earths included several DC characters, with the Arrowverse bringing in a talented roster as the many DC heroes and villains that appeared over several seasons of television.

The actress stars alongside real-life husband Kyle Schmid (NCIS: Origins) in Lifetime’s Yoga Teacher KIller: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story. When pro-cyclist Moriah “Mo” Wilson is found dead in 2022, an investigation points to Lotz’s Armstrong. The yoga teacher lived with her on-and-off boyfriend and pro gravel-racer in his own right, Colin Strickland (Schmid). Caity Lotz (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Kyle Schmid (Big Sky, Being Human) are quite the deadly pair in an upcoming Lifetime movie about a love triangle gone very wrong, TVLine can exclusively reveal.

The network has greenlit the Ripped from the Headlines film Yoga Teacher Killer: The Kaitlin Armstrong Story — which stars the real-life couple and Larissa Dias (When Calls the Heart) — as part of its summer slate.

As SAG-AFTRA and the WGA continue to strike and fight for a new deal, the picket lines are remaining full. In fact, they’re so full that multiple series have seen cast and crew reunions while marching.

Some have been spontaneous, as old colleagues run into each other by chance at a given location. Others have been planned, making sure to get as many members out on the lines as possible. So, we rounded up some of the biggest ones, ranging from shows long since ended, to those still fresh in our hearts.

Los Angeles, Aug 12 (Ians) Actor Stephen Amell best known for his role in ‘Arrow’ as the superhero Green Arrow, has joined the picket lines of the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikers just weeks after protesting their stance, as the actor had earlier proceeded to call their strike as very harmful to the industry.

The ‘Arrow’ star was spotted alongside his wife Cassandra Jean Amell in Manhattan on Friday, holding a picket sign and wearing a SAG-AFTRA Strong T-shirt. The actor had been heavily criticised for his comments against the strikers, as he had labeled it an “ineffective negotiation strategy”.

Since then though, Amell seems to have changed his stance, whether due to the high criticism he received or just a change of mind his unknown. As reported by Variety, the actor clarifying his stance said: “I support my union, I do. And I stand with them. I do not support striking.

The series finale of The Flash also served as the finale for the Arrowverse, the shared universe of DC Comics characters on The CW. Despite what some fans and critics called declining quality, the ninth and final season of The Flash seems to be a hit. If not in the ratings, it generally pleased fans and critics alike, if only because the important characters got the closure they needed. More than ever, this proves that one bit of unfinished business James Gunn and Peter Safran must address is a final season for DC's Legends of Tomorrow.

The Flash's final season delivered the moments fans wanted to see, from peak WestAllen content to Barry reuniting with Oliver, Wally West and other Arrowverse characters like Dreamer. A final (possibly shortened) season of Legends of Tomorrow can do the same thing for those characters, while also celebrating their shared universe in ways even The Flash was unable to do.
