Gabriel Kaufmann
- Actor
Still very young, in 2006, Gabriel Kaufmann began his acting career at the age of four, playing Francisco in the soap opera Páginas da Vida, written by Manoel Carlos and directed by Jayme Monjardim. His debut earned him the 2007 Contigo! Award for Best Child Actor, and gave him the chance to share the screen - and learn - with renowned Brazilian actors like Lilia Cabral, Marcos Caruso, and Regina Duarte.
In Caras & Bocas (2009), a soap opera by Walcyr Carrasco, directed by Jorge Fernando, Gabriel once again stood out in the role of Valdemir, which earned him another nomination for the Contigo! Award. That same year, he made his film debut in the feature From Beginning to End, directed by Aluizio Abranches, where he worked alongside celebrated actors such as Júlia Lemmertz, Fábio Assunção, Jean Pierre Noher, and Louise Cardoso.
After nine more appearances in Globo TV soap operas, series, and specials, in 2015 Gabriel was selected from hundreds of young actors to join the cast of Malhação: Seu Lugar no Mundo, written by Emanuel Jacobina and directed by Leonardo Nogueira. His character, Arthur, was so well received that he not only won the Prêmio Jovem Brasileiro in the category "Fans' Favorite," but also became one of the five cast members chosen to continue in the following season, Malhação: Pro Dia Nascer Feliz (2016-2017), by the same writer, now under the direction of Adriano Melo.
Some time later, Gabriel pursued a degree in Journalism, graduating in 2024. But since art has always been part of his journey, in 2022 he was invited to play Abisai in the fourth season of the Record TV series Reis.
After graduating, he decided to fully refocus on his artistic career, diving deeper into his training with the Argentine acting coach Eduardo Milewicz, with whom he had previously worked on Malhação. Alongside that, he has also been dedicating himself to voice and body work, as well as studying modern and realistic acting grounded in Method-based techniques, widely used in the American film industry by iconic names like Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep, and Tom Hanks, further refining the key tools required for his craft.
