We got the first word on director Albert Pyun's adaptation of H.P. Lovecraft's Cool Air at the end of last week, and to kick of this week, we have a look at the brand new key art for the film.

Cool Air will be debuting at the Estepona International Film Festival in September, and rest of us here in the States should be able to see it soon afterwards via Wrekin Hill, who bought North America rights to the film.

Writer Cynthia Curnan and Pyun have re-imagined the story with a contemporary but no less creepy setting. Cool Air stars Morgan Weisser, Wendy Phillips, Jenny Dare Paulin, Crystal Green, and Norbert Weisser; and the editing is by Glen Berry.

The story is set up as the narrator's explanation for why a "draught of cool air" is the most detestable thing to him.

This April sees the comic book debut of filmmaker Michael Kutcher with The Claw and Fang.

Kutcher was an assistant director on horror flick Bulletface, directed by Albert Pyun and released in the USA on January 26, and a producer and assistant director on last year's comedy Kung Fu Joe, directed by Glen Berry.

He now wants to move from the production process to the creative side and crosses over into comics with The Claw and Fang.

The comic, a modern action drama with gothic horror elements, is drawn by Matias Basla and published by Bluewater Productions with variant covers by Dan Brereton, Gmb Chomichuk and Steve Babb.

The characters are pulled from many of Kutcher's real-life experiences, which helps give an added depth and authenticity to the story.

Pirates, afros, ninjas, the potted plant man, a mad scientist with a drug named soylent green, and of course, kung fu. What more could you ask for in a film? Yes, this is another film we've been clocking for quite a while and we just got word from director Glen Berry that the trailer has just dropped, and boy does it look spectacular. The only thing it's missing is some kung fu fighting, but this is a real rough cut for it's premier this weekend.
