Jerusalem Film Festival sets Industry Days programme including Pitch Point projects

This year’s Pitch Point includes new projects from Nir Bergman, Yona Rozenkier, Hadar Morag.

Jerusalem Film Festival has confirmed the Industry Days programme for its 40th-anniversary edition, including the 10 projects for its Pitch Point Competition for Israeli co-production features.

The Industry Days will run from July 13-15, and will also include the final pitching event of the Sam Spiegel International Film Lab on July 14.

In the delightfully funny Israeli comedy Greener Pastures, a retiree named Dov (Shlomo Bar-Aba) feels like he has been put out to pasture, and not a greener one. The widower grandpa in his 70s is dismayed that his daughter, who lives out of town, has moved him to a retirement home and out of the house he loves. A retired postal worker, he has been done out of his pension following privatization.

‘Douze Points’ will be set against the backdrop of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest.

Israeli producer Adar Shafran, whose credits include the hit feature Maktub, is developing a comedy-thriller miniseries Douze Points set against the backdrop of the 2019 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest which is due to take place in Israel.

The storyline revolves around an extremist plot to assassinate the president by infiltrating a French boyband in the contest and a group of Mossad agents who have been coached in the art of make-up and dancing to guard over the event in the guise of hairdressers, choreographers and stylists.
