A Blind Bargain trailer: Crispin Glover stars in reimagining of lost Lon Chaney classic – Exclusive!
Back in 1922, after an extended battle with the censors of the time (who were unhappy with the subject matter of “doctors creating artificial life and attempting to play God”), Goldwyn Pictures released a silent horror film called A Blind Bargain, which starred the legendary Lon Chaney as both Dr. Arthur Lamb and his assistant, the Ape Man. Sadly, A Blind Bargain went on to become a lost film, as MGM destroyed the original negative years after they took over Goldwyn Pictures, and the last surviving print is thought to have burned in the same 1965 fire in Vault #7 on the MGM backlot that also resulted in the loss of London After Midnight and other Lon Chaney films. Now, director Paul Bunnell has made a reimagining of A Blind Bargain, and we have the Exclusive first look at the trailer. Check it out in the embed above!

Though it’s something of a backhanded paean to its eponymous city in question, the most enjoyable element to “Lost & Found in Cleveland” is its locations, locations, locations — cinematographer Davon Slininger’s widescreen images provide an appealing selective tour of a burg the film presents as quaintly lagging well behind the times. Otherwise, this slick if uninspired first feature for actors turned writer-directors Marisa Guterman and Keith Gerchak offers a pleasant-enough ensemble seriocomedy that straddles the terrains of Richard Curtis and Christopher Guest, without approaching either’s high points. The Newport Beach Fest world premiere’s familiar faces and story beats seem best suited to home viewing.
An opening montage to the retro pop of Bobby Darin singing “Artificial Flowers” — an incongruously brassy, “Mack the Knife”-like arrangement of a depressing slum-tragedy lyric from 1960 Broadway musical “Tenderloin” — introduces the characters, as well as a sense that this midwestern metropolis’ growth stalled some decades ago.

“The Neon Highway” is a new music drama, directed by William Wages, starring Beau Bridges and Rob Mayes, opening in theaters March 15, 2024:
“…’Wayne Collins’, a young singer/songwriter (Rob Mayes), was a heartbeat away from making it in Nashville when a car crash ended his dream.
“Now, seven years later, he’s a working man in Columbus, Georgia, trying to make ends meet.
“During a cable installation, he meets ‘Claude Allen’, a drunken has-been country music legend (Beau Bridges), who hands him a guitar and listens to one of Wayne’s original songs.
‘Together, they return to Nashville, hoping they can shop the song and score a record deal. But the industry has changed, and no one is willing to take a chance on Claude. Not one to give up, Wayne outsmarts the system…”

Jackie may have left a career opportunity in San Diego, but she found her passion, family, and love in Juneau.
What is it about small towns at Christmas that makes for the best Holiday films that give you all the feels?
By the end of The Christmas Edition, I wanted to pack my bags, move to Juneau, and immerse myself in their little community and hell, join the Lantern Grove Press, too.
The Christmas Edition had magic, love, community, finding one's passion, and a dose of adventure. You can't ask for anything more with a classic holiday film.
From the beginning to the end, the film was feel-good.
The credit goes to a lovely story, endearing characters, and leads that kept you glued to the screen. Carly Hughes, formerly of American Housewife, shined as Jackie.
Jackie was stylish, passionate, and she was willing to try new things. I admired that quality about her.

Families often find themselves gathered around the TV binging some of Hallmark or Lifetime’s latest Christmas-themed films, and this year is no exception. As part of Lifetime’s “It’s a Wonderful Lifetime” holiday movie slate, the channel will premiere 30 original TV movies beginning Oct. 23 and running through mid-December. As Renny Harlin’s Deep Blue Sea continues to be eulogized as B-grade, feeding-frenzy excellence (now and forever), Darin Scott’s Deep Blue Sea 2 will be forgotten, ignored and seen only as malodorous sequel chum. How *dare* drug-doped supersharks be associated with such a nonsensically rudderless dive, as submerged survival “fun” is drained well before the dam breaks wide open. Restrained budgets are one thing, but a three-person writing team’s concocted solution around big-budget finback effects is a middle-finger to Harlin’s masterful underwater massacre (in comparison). Hell, even Shark Night 3D looks infallible next to this Open Water 3: Cage Dive of a franchise torpedo.

Though it risks being overshadowed quite spectacularly by The Meg and its own ginormous fish, Deep Blue Sea 2 is now on the verge of hitting Blu-ray and DVD, and the folks over at Bloody Disgusting has uncovered a brand new clip to prove it.

She soon discovers that Durant and his team are experimenting on bull sharks, a species of fish known for their aggression and killer instinct…and that’s before the humans even begin their tests. As far as shark movies go, this is a pretty familiar calm before the inevitable storm. But with...

Cast your mind back to the year 1999, long before talk of the McU and Warner Bros.’ fledging DC Extended Universe, and you’ll likely recall a host of instant cinematic classics in the vein of The Matrix, Fight Club, and The Blair Witch Project.
But there’s another gem buried beneath the pile, and we’re not referring to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. "We're going to pull together and find a way to get out of here! First, we're gonna seal off this pool." Hopefully, this new batch of shark conservationists in Deep Blue Sea 2 doesn't end up like the person I just quoted, Russell Franklin (Samuel L. Jackson) from the first movie, and get eaten by any Great White sharks. We'll find out soon enough when Deep Blue Sea 2 comes to home media on April 17th:

The long gestating sequel to Deep Blue Sea is finally set to launch this April, and today brings our first trailer, plus details on the blu-ray. Come inside to learn more.
While I'm never terribly confident in straight to blu-ray sequels, I can't help but be excited for the upcoming release of Deep Blue Sea 2. Despite the goofiness, I really loved the first movie; I admit I'm a sucker for monster/shark movies regardless of the level of ridiculousness. The premise really isn't too far off the rails and made for some tense action sequences.
Word of a sequel have been floating around since its launch nearly 20 years ago (1999), but nothing ever came to fruition until recently. Now it's finally happening and set to launch on blu-ray/digital on April 17, 2018, plus we even get a trailer!

After nearly 20 years, we're finally getting that sequel to Deep Blue Sea that just enough people want to justify its existence. Thomas Jane won't be back, but SyFy is releasing Deep Blue Sea 2 in 2018, though, a specific release date has not yet been set. What's also good for fans of the original to hear is that the sequel has been given an R-rating for creature violence and gore, and for language. Everything one could possibly want in a movie about scientifically altered, super deadly and smart sharks.
In Deep Blue Sea 2, the plot kicks off with shark conservationist Dr. Misty Calhoun invited to consult on a top-secret project run by pharmaceutical billionaire Carl Durant (Michael Beach). Calhoun is shocked to learn that the company is using the unpredictable and highly aggressive bull sharks as its test subjects. You can probably guess where this goes next, and Warner Bros....

After two seasons, Alyssa Milano left the Mistresses TV show and was replaced by Jennifer Esposito. Now, Esposito has left the series. The ratings have dropped each season but ABC has continued to renew it. What will happen in season four? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season five?
Based on a British series of the same name, Mistresses revolves around the lives and loves of a group of sexy female friends. The current cast includes Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes, Jes Macallan, Tabrett Bethell, Rob Mayes, and Brett Tucker.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest.

Don’t assume that Calista Raines is a one-season-and-done character for ABC’s Mistresses.
