Michael X. Ferraro is a TV writer-producer, development brain and filmmaker. He works primarily in the fields of comedy, sports, competition, prank, game show and variety. He is the writer-director of the weirdo short music documentary, "Look at My Furniture: The Mutant Birth Story of 'David Lynch Has a Painting Made of Flies Eyes,'" which screened in 2024 at such film festivals as Sound Unseen (Minneapolis) and Doc N' Roll (London). His next project is a feature-length documentary about singer-songwriter Freedy Johnston with the working title, "Welcome Home, You're Leaving Soon," expected to be completed in 2025.
He is the author of two proper books, "Numbelievable," a big honkin' coffee table book on the most memorable numbers in sports history, and the satirical novel "Circus Catch," which is set in the world of pro football during America's Golden Age of Cheating (now). He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Broadcast & Film, and earned an MFA in creative writing from Augsburg University.
